9 years vegan . Best decision I've ever made. Rice and beans is the cheapest food available. Lentils, tofu, frozen veg is cheaper that fresh...go for it.
@@soilikasanenThe biggest methane emitter is animal ag, then landfill sites then leaks, although I use Corn ( or normal)Caus Caus instead of rice as it doesn’t even need cooking just boiling water poured onto it.
Where possible it is best to buy fresh veg & fruit etc cos of the high energy needed & toxic chemicals needed for refrigeration and the single use plastic packaging etc.
More important I feel like I’m a teenager again. My energy level as vegan is outrageous compared to my omnivore peers (by age). My health is fantastic. I love veganism
Point On! 🎉 I have been vegan for the past 50 years and my blood pressure and overall health is as an 18 year old. Not only the best thing you can do for your body, health, vitality and longevity but also essential to protect our planet. What is GOOD for the body is also GOOD for the planet. We need to plant trees on the deforested and crop transformed forests that are wasted to feed animals at a poor return of only 1 1/16th. We have the power to feed all the people of the earth and also bring our forests back to absorb the carbon in the atmosphere if we enjoy the food that grows from the ground. If we do not adopt plant-based foods as our main stay, we cannot avoid the downfall of civilization. Constraining our carbon emissions alone will not do the trick. - Healing Inspirations
12 year vegan. For me it has been cheaper to eat plant-based. even though federal farm subsidies go to meat and dairy corporation, veg, beans, grains and fruit are still cheaper.
My conversion from eat anything to vegan happened overnight. It was a clear realisation of the cruelty of animal farming. I miss the range of food available in meat, fish, and dairy and sometimes I find it hard to find good places to eat out but my resolution hasn’t changed. It also hasn’t changed from when I gave up smoking in 1986.
If you eat mostly plants, you need to supplement!!!! You need to supplement Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3 and Omega-3 DHA and EPA. Don't rely on fortified foods, and obey the daily recommendations. Eat meals that consist of 1/4 Whole Grains, 1/4 Legumes and 2/4 Vegetables including Dark Leafy Greens and Mushrooms. As desert or a snack, eat Fruits and Nuts. 🖖🌱💜

Scientific facts. These experts devote their life to thos science and you call it rubbish😂 Where do you get your information from the back of cereal packets and the tabloids??
Outstanding we need more of this information out there for the masses. people are clueless about their personal choices and how they effect everyone.
Excellent interview!

Agree. Be vegan. ❤
Rice fields are a source of methane, but there are lots of other affordable full grains to enjoy. For example, organic kvinoa is grown in Finland.

Science + compassion + logic -> vegan
I’m growing my herbs now. I love it. I struggle to let go of cheese. I eat a little seafood too. The thought of eating meat makes me feel sick.
Seriously, its very easy. There's so many great dishes that are totally vegan and whole and healthy. Don't hesitate.

We have the brains to think big and the bollocks to live differently that blasts apart status quo meat agriculture thinking.
Great spokespeople for the PBT!!
❤🌱 go vegan
Plant based for health planet and animal rights. But I don't think it has to be all or nothing. A 50 percent reduction would work wonders!

Great advice. Agree.
Most Cities and HOA will no let you farm on the front lawn to feed yourselves.
How on Earth do they differentiate between ornamental and edible plants?
@ Here in California USA has a Fire Code. Like my 6’ tall corn on the cob in plants in front of the house is a fire hazard. :(
@@ronaldwong6092 that makes sense.
How do we start campaigning to stop Animal Agriculture Subsidies, everywhere in the world. Is that something you look into as well?
