What lovely work you do. So enjoyed watching you. Anna you are a true ray of sunshine. In this crazy world we have now, you remind us of what goodness, kindness and a smile brings in to our lives. Your smile and twinkle in your eyes lights up our time with you. Thank you. What a beautiful setting too. Sue Spargo is amazing.
I loved Sue Spargo's class. Thanks for making this video, Anna. It was great to see all the sites of Tanque Verde Ranch and reminisce of our time there. It was so nice to meet you there, too!
I agree with tired of the cold! Think this has been my coldest winter in Tucson! Didn't you just Looove the "country air" around the corral! Whew!! Just love your sand dollars.! What a great class with a nice project of learning and decorating with various stitches and mediums.
You should be really proud of what you did. That's beautiful stitching. I noticed those leaves when you first showed the project and wondered how they were made. So kind of Sue to show us...thank you! Glad you had a good time.
Hi Anna, so lovely to see you today, have missed you lately but always enjoyable to see what you have been getting up to. So envious of the Sue Spargo workshop you have been doing, would love to go next year but am in UK so thats not gonna happen any time soon, spesh as I dont want to fly lol! Keep safe, love to G and looking forward to seeing you again soon. Kathy, Devon, UK xx
Anna, your hand stitching work is beautiful. This video brought back memories. My husband and I were in Arizona a few years ago. The cactus and National Park are simply outstanding! This past year my quilty friends and I did a road trip to Sue’s shop. What a treat! We were given a walk about tour, we met Sue and family members. Please let us know when you plan to visit the shop. I live in the southwest corner of the state, it’s only a four hour drive for us to the shop.We would love the opportunity to meet you. Safe travels!
Anna, i hope you will show us your finished project. the format was beautiful and your choices in colors was lovely as well. Looking forward to seeing this in a future vlog... hope you have a safe trip home - while arizona is stunning, oregon is always the best.
Anna, I love your video's so much. The horses were a treat, loved the fence with the woven logs and the salt lick perched on top. Your Sue Spargo work is beautiful, how special to have a lesson from Sue herself, thank you so much for sharing. I am fortunate to have the spiral bound book of her stitches. What a great place! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Anna, I so enjoyed your video. It was wonderful to meet Sue and to get a taste of her creative talents. You are so lucky. Thank you for bringing us along. Happy Stitching.
I love the way Sue uses embroidery stitches and enjoyed her leaf demonstration. A sampler with a difference. Looking forward to your finished piece. Thanks for sharing Anna.
It took you so long to get to the cookout, I thought you were going back to Sisters! LOLOL Beautiful stitching, Anna. Exciting to learn new things, isn't it? Have a wonderful time and I hope the weather turns better for you. (I'm sitting in Mexico with 85 degree temps! Ha!!) Take care and will chat again soon. Hugs from you know where!
Thanks for the memories, Anna. We were at Tanque Verde last year with my son and his family, so your tour brought back many wonderful memories. The only downside was that our son got Valley Fever from the spores in the dirt while riding horseback. He was off work for 5 weeks, but thankfully is now fully recovered. I still hope to return there someday for a Sue Spargo class. The sand dollars turned out lovely. Thanks for sharing.
That class looks wonderful!! Oh, and please let G know that I really enjoy his music. I don't know if I'm the only goober who dances in my seat whenever I hear the intro and exit music! I love that Full Tank of Gas song!! See you next time!
Anna your sand dollars are so lovely! You do beautiful work. Love those hexies and it was fascinating watching Sue make that leaf, wow. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Hugs!
What a beautiful place you stayed at. The stitching you are doing on the sand dollars is beautiful. The way Sue showed how to do the leaf was amazing to me ,tell Sue thank you for letting you tape that for us to see, that was nice of her to do that. Thank you Anna for sharing, I am really grateful and appreciate it (since my health prevents me from going to any classes to learn)
What a wonderful class you had. Thank you so much for sharing with the vlog. Your project is beautiful. Loved the loopy leaf tutorial Sue gave you. What a great sport she is. I’ve seen some friends do her techniques but never seen her work itself. Looks tempting!
Thanks for sharing your class. What a beautiful area you were in, just breathtaking. I liked the music at the cowboy cookout. You looked like you got a lot out of the class, beautiful sand dollars you made, I can't wait to see what you do with this new art process on future projects.
What a fascinating workshop you are taking. I must say yours is coming along so nicely. Thanks for sharing with us. Loved the tutorial on the leaf Sue gave, such fun
Your sand dollars are coming along beautifully. I'm not that advanced with my stitching, but would love to learn more. Sue's demonstration on making the leaf was truly fascinating. I will need to get the tools. She just has so many threads to choose from, it's hard to know where to begin. Thanks for taking us along. You and G have a wonderful day.
What do I look for when trying to.find the plastic tool for leaf/flower making? Love how they form the perfect leaves. Thanks for sharing your week with us. Looks absolutely amazing! Your work is gorgeous. Get some rest and enjoy the rest of your trip.
What fun it is to hang out with you at the Sue Spargo workshop! I am working on my first Sue Spargo Quilt, “Fresh Cut,” offered as a block of the month from Pioneer Quilt Shop in Portland. You introduced me to both the shop and the designer! You’ve expanded my bag of tricks! Hope you can stop by Arkansas on your way to Sue’s shop next summer. We’d roll out the red carpet!
Just tried the leaf instructions out using my 6" Add-a-seam ruler that I paper piece with. It worked! It only makes the one size, so I need Sue's rulers! Thank you so much for sharing your retreat with us. I lived in Tucson when stationed at the AF base. Beautiful town.
This just sounds like so much fun. I have always enjoyed stitching, even as a child. Thank you so much for sharing this class with us and also thanks to Sue for sharing that leaf with us. Amazing! Such a creative thinker. So good to see you feeling better, Anna. Looking forward to future bee hive videos and how you incorporate your new knowledge into your projects!
Looks like a beautiful spot, indeed. I always thought Arizona was warm throughout the year. I am looking forward to my class with Sue at Sisters, sadly it is on the days that you are having a stitch with Anna session. Would have loved to stitch with you. Loved the progress that you made on your dollars.
What a special birthday present you’ve given me. Loved your daily vlogging of your class and seeing how Sue made these raised leaves. Sadly we forgot to have her demonstrate it when I took her class in Calgary. You’ve got me thinking about next February. Have to count my pennies..oh wait we don’t have them anymore.
I have wanted to take the Indigo class forever and keep missing it so decided I am going to dive in...you would have a great time and it is a lovely place. Hope you have a great birthday month...and I am sending you a birthday surprise but just haven't been able to get to the post office... this week!
