The fan clutch, when operating properly, defaults to engaged. When air pressure is applied, the clutch disengages. I really hope you used thread locker on those bolts while reinstalling! They have the tendency to loosen up as is the nature with any fasteners that rotate. If you don't catch it in time you will need new fan blades, clutch air supply hose, fan shroud at a minimum and possibly need hoses and belts depending on how it decides to grande on you. Trust me I've seen it many times. If you hadn't, it would be well worth your while to get a couple dollar tube of Loctite and do the job again.
without 3.07 gears running 55mph on @20 year old Michelins..over heating is the least of your problems.. and when you kept referring to the "solenoid" .. you mean the solenoid under the passenger kick panel that purges when you turn off the engine ?
yeah that is where it is at. Solenoid worked though so it was fan clutch based on the discussions with him in the groups. Agree on Michelin's; time to purge his May Pop's. Esp. since he is traveling with a loved one like his kid in those Tinfoil Cabs

Ya I learned this the hard way. But thank you for the loctite suggestion! I’ll make that happen.

Those Michelins are not 20 years old they’re 5-8 years old. I’m going to upgrade them soon however.
the solenoid is under the dash passenger kick panel. LOL. Fan is not mechanical. It's air activated.
Yep
This was an adventure.
What's a "silonoid"? Ha ha, you guys pronounce it funny.
Aluminum, schedule, other things… 😂

Thanks Boss!
