I feel like the moveset catered to the anime boys...but they're all playing Longsword. Meanwhile the ADHD dual blade users are blissfully unaware and just happy that blades go brrrrr haha
Its all about the mobility. Repositioning while keeping up your dps, balancing your demon/archdemon modes, and forcing yourself to learn proper stamina management. The anime feeling is just a bonus.
I like dual blades because i dont have to worry about combos. All the other weapons you gotta press the right buttons at the right times, but with dual blades i just run at them spamming the same button until they are dead

ADHD, no. Anime, rarely. Like 3 watch sessions a year, even if that. I like dual blades because I like using reaction time to barely get hit. It's also one of the only weapons that you can put good comfort skills on and still have massive dps

I love larger monsters, I use the demon flight on large monsters as you just do so much damage on them, plus it gives me the feeling of playing as insect glaive (the floor is paying taxes) players without playing insect glaive
As an insect glaiver some of the most fun i have is with duel bladers Jumping all over the place is just even more fun when theres another just as jumpy if not moreso hunter doing it with you
I feel personally attacked, but in my defence, it feels really good when you manage to ride from the head of the monster all the way down to the tip of the tail
Ah, the "trips everyone to oblivion with Demon Flurry and makes everyone cart to Rajang's Nova because no one can move/Blade Dances into Sapphire of the Emperor to just die when landing" weapon, a classic indeed.
The same could apply to 2hand sword: watch me become berserker. Long sword: samuuuurai. Sword shield: watch me linked with stick and shield. Bow: watch me tried to shoot right next to the mob. Xbow: pull infinite arrow/bolt from infinite punch/quiver with zero gravity. Spear and shield: watch me 1 handed a large spear
I just love being able to keep moving and avoid being hit by timed dashes so I can get in as much damage as possible. I like managing my stamina and it keeps my brain busy seeing the numbers and paying attention to the animations so I can keep on cutting with as little damage to me as I can. It also became a joke in my group for me to crouche ask for drugs in the most innocent voice. Gets a laugh from them and that makes me happy, I'm still working on not running out of stamina in the wrong places though lol
Ngl, I felt attacked by this XD Dual Blades have largely been my main since 3, I just love staying mobile and hitting often while being hard to hit myself
Tbf I just like how fast it is, and I don't have to worry about complications that you get with switchaxe and the likes, it's really easy to use and you just gotta focus on your stamina and dodging monster attacks

The dual blades have always been my main weapon. I used nothing but dual blades throughout multiple entries. I only rarely watched anime and i usually hate people who are into it.

First the levi assault is sometimes hard to hit but can be useful to break the back and tail of certain monsters
