This is the early version of the 2009 adaptation before it was revised and David Bowers (co-director of Flushed Away and later director of the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid movie sequels) would be chosen as the director
This is so cool! I like the potential plot at 1:10 where he seems to have a hard time controlling the arm cannon, it always seemed weird to me that he just instantly understood and could control all of his powers the first day he woke up. It'd definitely add more tension to the movie rather than 'just hiding that he's a robot'
@@TRB_TheRedBrick no i think they want the how the story is gonna be about but yeah he did die but my theory is that he was thrown away and got sent to a circus
We hope there will be new remake Osamu Tezuka's 'Astro Boy / Iron Arm' movies produced by Walt Disney Animation Studio, in the far future since(from) the 2060s. Astro Boy Series truly look like and might fit to Walt Disney Animation.
Good ear, @WiiFan444 ! The original temp score for this scene was lost so the music is whatever I could pull from my library. This particular sting might be familiar to someone who uses iMovie…
question mr director :D umm so yeah this was supposed to be like when tenma threw astro away and got sent to a circus??? and have you heard about imagi shutting down because of the 2009 movie flop which they were planning on making like 2 and 3 movie of astro boy
Im not the director but i do know a thing or 2 I can only adsume that yes thisvtakes place at the robot circus (or as its called in the movie "the robot games") And there was plans for a sequal even tho freddie highmore wouldnt be returning as astro
@@Colin_a_Brady I can't believe You actually work on the project. What was the original script for the movie You was making? Was it originally going to be dark?
Yes, it would’ve been more dark than what was released. But not any darker than what I’ve always admired with the studio Ghibli films. There also was a lot more absurd and broad humour as well in this original version. I’ve been inspired by all of your comments here to post some of the original extremely rough storyboards as well as cleaning some up with AI to see what the style might’ve looked like… thanks for your interest and questions!
This is amazing! I kinda prefer this scene a bit more because of the use of his arm cannon. The arm cannons were only used in 2 scenes in the film. Edit: Don't get me wrong, I like the scene we got in the final.

I loved the Astro Boy movie! I wish there were more movies :( but I am glad we at least got one! Great work! Very interesting to see it's development.
I always liked the 2009 astro boy movie. It's what introduced me to the franchise
Thanks for sharing this:)
wow. a lot of good storytelling here dealing with astro boys benevolence.

You also worked on the early version of the Image adaptation? What a small world
this movie could’ve been so good
What is the original plot of this story? I want to know more about the movie, Astro Boy from 2007.
so basically a boy died and the father of the boy (a scientist) recreated a robot replica of him. The end.
@@TRB_TheRedBricknahhh bro u did not gotta do him like that mate

Why does zog look like an egg? 😂
1. Because eggs are a unique and universal shape. 2. Zog later becomes a source of giving Toby new life. 3. We were hungry that day.
The movie was about to be more darker. ZOG was originally controlled by HamEgg just to kill Astro. 😢
1:11 what is this sound?

I have another question when working on the project. Who is the original villain of the Astro Boy rather than President Stone?
Dr. Tenma probably

I have a question, was Astro Boy originally going to be turning evil because He lost control of himself before He forced ZOG to not fight Him.
Not evil, but more like a self defence mode override he’s learning to control.

@@Colin_a_BradyI have a question, what software was used to animate this scene?
Maya. And I believe it was rendered using Renderman.
