    Nice job, its good board. Used it for years with 3800X.
    Changed it out today as I managed to get faulty rog strix x670e-f for 45eur and got it do work.
    Pent cpu pin was problem, not easy to bend back but somehow managed. Works rock solid so far with 7800x3d :)

    Very good catch with the broken resistor, thank you for the knowledge sharing. The mini display you have connected to the pico PSU is just a voltmeter/ampmeter display in a 3D printed case with the appropriate power connectors?

    lesson to be told !!! .Never power up pcb board without visual inspection first. To avoid waste your time in repair.

      And then inspect again...and once more at least, for good measure. It's amazing how rough most builders are with boards, let alone the complete lack of even basic ESD management.

    Working on a Asus X570-F right now and have exact same symptoms. Also, the Vcore voltage is kind of high, around 1.15V. Any idea? I soldered the SIO to bring it to this state. Maybe an issue there? Or some shady resistor like in your case?
    Do you have a boardview for X570-F? I found for X570-E which was very helpful but there are some differences. Would be good to have an exact match to check the resistors.

      @MainboardMedic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would check your soldering again, SIO´s are really not that easy to solder! I sadly also only have the E Version!

    • @MyElectronicsRepairAdventure
      @MyElectronicsRepairAdventure 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MainboardMedic Thanks! I will double check in the evening but I'm pretty sure it's soldered fine. I run each pin separately, soldering and checking if solid. I would suspect some small SMDs like in your case especially that I already replaced two resistors around PU1501 to make the board even start, before it was trying and switching off after a second. I don't know it's history, but definitely there was a repair attempt before and some heatsinks are missing, on the chipset and M.2

      @MainboardMedic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MyElectronicsRepairAdventure Well then the SIO is off no concern! I would agree SMD components are your next best bet, exspecially if you already found some!
      Check the backside off the Board! There are often hard to spot, but i had damage there often before!

    Do the debug leds come from the CPU in X570-F strix? I have no post, no debug leds at all. I know they should cycle according to post. I have voltage rails (memory, vtt, 1V, 1.8V, Vcore, VSOC

      As far as i know they work with the CPU with am4 and on intel they work with the PCH!

    Rough handing of the board during installation can knock off components resulting this behaviour

    Hi there buddy! May I ask you where are you getting the boardviewer files for these motherboards, I have tried looking around and the only place I can find them are charging per board. This would be very helpful as I need to find the ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming Wifi as well as other motherboards. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Cheers!

      I do pay for every single Board view that i use. Most of them cost aroung 5-10€. There are some that are free and some Discords provide them. Like LER or electronics repair school.

      @@hasanrizvi2486 Then you might need to troubleshoot a RAM problem. So all RAM voltages need to be checked and also the data lines. If they are fne you will also need to check SDA SDK and the VREF off the RAM!
