Don’t Mark Carney and Christia Freeland have a personal relationship? Like, Mark is the godfather to her children or something of the sort? Wondering if they had a conversation on the weekend and decided it was time to try to crush Trudeau….Mark then takes over as leader of liberal party and if he gets elected leader of the Libs and prime minister at some point, then Cristia becomes finance minister again or something like that?
trudeau hasn’t resigned as of Wednesday night. It sure likes like this is the end and he will have to go soon. But I still wouldn’t put it past him to,figure out a way to hold on until after the G7. And that would involve figuring out a way to win a non-confidence vote.
The only folks that don't want an election right now are those who are afraid of the will of the people. Let the people vote and give judgement about the current mess.
Freeland’s letter was a leadership manifesto. A piece of letter mail tanked Trudeau’s political future the same day his government ordered Canada Post workers back to work.😂😂
I really hope our Governor General plays a role where if Parl hits the bump of non confidence or a call for General Election she holds fast on the fixed date election and says PP can form his government. In 6-8 months they make mistakes or solidy voter confidence on more than campaign slogans. At least we see a PP Tories budget, we see details on climate, borders, energy security, taxes, housing solutions, and deficits before a General Election with their Throne Speech. Folks can then vote more informed in October based upon the look of a PP Cabinet and Public Policy being better detailed as contrasted with the Liberals over the past 9 years.
Love to see the chaos. As a millennial who's been left behind who voted for election reform back in the day, I love to see JT get his just desserts. Maybe we should stop electing entitled rich boys from Montreal, just a thought.
It's really interesting that as Canada progresses and wealth is moving west, Trudeau has been obsessed with returning Canada to a period when old money and connected Montreal families were running Canada. One of Trudeau's tirades about Harper was allowing Alberta values to dominate Parliament Hill.
She disagreed with the GST cut that contributed to the $60 billion deficit. That's why she refused to be the sacrificial lamb to present the Fall Economic Statement.
It was Trudeau's uncontrolled spending that escalated the deficit. Trudeau fired her but first wanted her to take the fall. Once a sleazeball, always a sleazeball.

Ater the Trump visit the tables turned on her. Trump didn't like her. Trudeau gets rid of her not knowing Trump wants to get rid of him also. Trump made it known afterward. Freeland saved him the trouble. Double plot twist.😊
So ... just a thought. Trump hates Christia Freeland. Canada has to get along with Trump for the next 4 years. We need to have a Finance Minster who can at least 'get along' with the Dumpster. Kinda of a positive in Trump's eyes if someone he can't stand is treated like shit and in order to suck up to him (well, in his opinion). Just a thought.
Taking the carbon tax off home heating oil was another gimmick. And other gimmicks are the public dental care program, the school food program, free diabetes & free birth control medication. All these gimmicks get marketed as free when some proportion of taxpayers is gonna pay the entire cost of it while barely getting any benefit for themselves.😂😂

Trudeau isn't going anywhere. Jagmeet and Justin has common ground as follows: 1)neither want an election 2)neither want a Conservative majority 3)both want Bill C-293 to get through the senate and back to parliament. Once passed, this will facilitate transition to a command style economy and society, spelling the end of Canadian parliamentary democracy. This is serious folks.
Even Trudeau is in love with Mark Carney. Carney is the Conservatives worst nightmare. They can’t call him an economic illiterate based on his resume and the fact Harper appointed him as now former BOC Governor.😂😂
I wouldn't give a penny to a food bank today.. Its just foreigners and immigrant students. I help actual Canadians through local hampers that are popular on Facebook. I recommend others do the same.
I'm surprised to hear you all say that you like Sean Fraser. To me whenever I hear him talk he comes off as out of touch, to a pretty extreme degree. He often comes off as the rich kid who had everything handed to him. He also seems to be not so great as a minister, he went from immigration when that was an issue, and then got transferred to housing and then seemingly did a whole lot of nothing but announce things there, while the issue got much worse. He did eventually being out the old preplanned designs stuff but I had heard that reported as a good easy idea the government could do months before the government eventually announced it.
I get that Mark Carney may not be the best politician, but I trust him at the wheel more than any of the current leaders. At least we would have an adult in the room.
