I'm into nice scenery as much as the next guy, but when Vixen and Phantom Blue came along that focused more on the big hair and hot looks that tended to become more of a focus. Give me Girlschool where the chicks were just natural looking, but rocked just as hard.
@ArturBB20 Yes, to me Nancy Wilson of Heart is the best female guitarplayer. I only have to listen to the intro of "Crazy on you", she totally swept me of my feet from the first time I listened to her. There are plenty women that can do a pretty good shredding on guitar, that is not so special anymore, but play like Nancy is something completely different.
There is another chick band on the you tube called Zelpha trippe they're pretty good the video is rough but they rock for sure wish they had more stuff on the tube

@nazwayoutubization maybe it might be equal the men and women around the world that play guitar,but it's typical for the men to shred why? because it's like 10 top shredding women vs 100 of of men shredding it into the top,i'm talking comercially.do you thing heart it's baracuda for instanse was as intense as child in time,any queen song,led zep songs,black sabbath etc etc etc top 100 tells the diffrence.there are women that work as electrician but there are more men doing that visa versa.
i realy dont understand when i see a guitarist better than me i feel jelous but when its a woman i feel even worse i respect women and belive that they can anything men can but when i see a female guitarist better than me i feel like shit there must be somthing wrong woth me :P

Phantom Blue: These girls can definitely play, but they had no interesting songs. I would love to see a female version of Deep Purple or Stratovarius, but haven't yet. Vixen sucks. Just manufactured pop cheese.

being able to play someone else's work doesn't make you good... they're talking about the originality factor. they are skilled, that's clear. but no emotion or innovation.

To bad Madonna came around and introduced pop music...Instead of sharing their true potentional, actually playing a instrument females flocked to soulless bubble gum pop music like brain washed zombies..Damn I love when girl guitarists prove to be talented, cuz they are just as talented as men, so there!!
its not very rythmically varied. It somehow becomes a little too nice and orderly and prearranged - correct but not real experessive or cohesive. Sounds a bit like someone copying someone elses solo very well but without the original personality.
they all rock... only most girls look just wrong nodding their head off shreading... it gets even uglier behind the drums (no offense I just don't like it)

I think if you check, you'll find that these video clips are actually from the 80's. They're not stuck there.
