FelpHero You've taken my comment in the wrong context mate. Why I mention artists like them is because both they and Orianthi are current artists. People like Joe Satriani started up in the 70's and 80's and absolutely shredded their guitars, but most of the modern day music tends to be repetitive and bland. Orianthi is a modern day musician, but creates interesting and engaging music, trying different styles, etc. She is a far cry, professionally or skill-wise, in front of JB or OD. Kallitrix The problem with her isn't her lack of talent but her lack of a good management/label,who knows how to promote her and her stupid career decisions. Her first label,Geffen, wanted to market her as a teen-pop act, like Avril Lavigne. Her current label,Robo Records, did absolutely nothing to promote her excellent ''Heaven in this Hell '' cd from 2013.They put out 2 of the weakest songs as singles, with 2 ubercheap lyric videos. She couldn't do much promo work, because she was touring with A.Cooper,so nobody heard of this amazing album. If she doesn't get her pretty head straight, her career will be over before we even saw her full potential as a musician.Soon her ''Sugardaddy'' will replace her with a new plaything and she will be left with a career/reputation damaged beyond repair. And for the record,I'm an avid ''Ori-fanboy''. P.S.Sorry for the lenghty rant.

This song is fun c: Love how the guitar tones compliment eachother with Orianthi's smooth, rounded PRS-tone, and Steve's more trebly, raw tone. The soloes are so creative and the song is just short enough to not be draining for non guitarplayers. Cool!

+Daniel Fernández de Lara I don't even understand why Beats want one of their products in a rock music video? Aren't these headphones directed more towards the Rap/Hip-hop audience?
She's not anywhere near Vai's level and would tell you that. Jackson liked having a female guitarist hence the pick and she could play the parts. This isn't meant to be sexist at all, there are tons of really good female players technically better than her.
Honestly I think orianthi is one of the best female guitarists I discovered who are into my relative kind of music. Sadly there's not many female shredders out there compared to dudes. She proves you CAN shred no matter what gender you are. She awesome.
Steve Vai is the best rock guitarist in the world . He can do any difficult technique the young players use BUT they ... Cannot touch his panache, feel, and interesting note selection. He has his own style. There is no other player that sounds like him.

While more in line with what hard-line rock guitar fans want to hear, I hear echoes of Hot Rats in this piece. I wish more music like this was produced today.

Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.
- Frank Zappa
Frank Zappa fan I presume? (Hot Rats)
0:02 - the only good use for Beats
+JonnyInfinite bruh XD lol
+JonnyInfinite When advertising backfires.
+Daniel Fernández de Lara I don't even understand why Beats want one of their products in a rock music video? Aren't these headphones directed more towards the Rap/Hip-hop audience?
Boris Grunwald I guess advertising is advertising.
+Boris Grunwald you'd think that Dr dre endorses them
You know you're 1 hell of a guitarist when Michael Jackson asks you to play with him and you play as well as Steve Vai
She's not anywhere near Vai's level and would tell you that. Jackson liked having a female guitarist hence the pick and she could play the parts. This isn't meant to be sexist at all, there are tons of really good female players technically better than her.
When Carlos Santana says Orianthi rocks, the world listens
Lol not even close to Steve vais level
shes just a kid in his playground mate
Plays as well as Steve Vai?? What planet are you from?
Orianthi really is underrated as a guitarist........awesome playing.
Heard about this on planet rock so had to listen.excellent stuff.
Vai's solos on this track are amazing. The guy is always so expressive I can't even believe it. unmatched vibrato bar skills!
What I wouldn't give to see Orianthi jam with Eddie Van Halen. Sadly, we might never see this.
???
@@boggeshzahim3713 Just a thought, a fantasy, really.
@John Smith Word
The lyrics are very meaningful
"Melody is the essence of music." - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
I don't like the swearing part in the middle....
lol almost as meaningful as no guitar cables or cords or wireless devices!
@@bjornbrunekreeft 😂
There were lyrics? Lol. All I witnessed was Masterfully executed guitar playing that blew me away literally!! ❤️😉👏🏼
she is sooo cool
I'm having quite a rough time accepting that, this song is 14 years old.
I'm watching in 2024.
they sounded INSANE together
it has been a perfect game for me to have a lovely and awesome fan like you, thank you for your love, most of all I have to thank you.
Shades of Nancy Wilson! Those 'blue tips'' catch fire!
(No ignoring you Steve)
Honestly I think orianthi is one of the best female guitarists I discovered who are into my relative kind of music. Sadly there's not many female shredders out there compared to dudes. She proves you CAN shred no matter what gender you are. She awesome.
When you can hold your own on the same stage as Steve Vai, what more needs to be said?
🤗🤗🤗🤗💓💓💙
Two of the best ever. They know how to treat acustic and electric guitars really well.
It sounds like a boss battle in guitar hero
Pd: its awesome
Steve Vai is the best rock guitarist in the world . He can do any difficult technique the young players use BUT they ... Cannot touch his panache, feel, and interesting note selection. He has his own style. There is no other player that sounds like him.
Steve Vai has made a career out of making his guitar literally "sing" The guy is a guitar God and Orianthi has definitely got some MFing fire inside 💯
Who in 2024?
Ah masa

1:47 should be a statue :P
EXCELLENT COMMENT.
0:02 that product placement tho....
She can rip with the best! Excellent video with Stevie Vai!!!❤❤❤❤
In the beginning, God created Steve. Steve got lonely, so God took a piece of Steve's rib and created Orianthi.
And the rest is history!
😀😬👍👍👍
Beautiful!
Nah i guess it was the other way around lmao
Johan G. some say he looks more like Jesus
No, there were MANY before these 2, very many
She looks so old school playing like that its so cool

Stay Safe.
Everyday 😁😁😁 it’s my Alarm Clock even here in 2021 ✌️✌️
Make that 2021
2022
In 2022 still too!
@Matt K- Great comment You cant say it any better. So, Im going to say Orianthi you are sensational. Your vocals are very good and only second to your outstanding guitar playing. I was introduced to you and music right around 2009. I called about 50 musicians when I was in awe.48 of them all felt the same way. There's always 1 or2. Way to go Greek! Much more success to you
