I saw this big 515 that had the Built -in-house 9liter DOHC V8 and twin turbos, 1350hp on pump unleaded gas! 2700hp and 135mph top speed! The engines sounded smooth and surprisingly quiet! Not rough,loud and cammy!

Are you saying the idle surge is a sound of not being properly tuned
No, but you can tune a lot of it out. It’s caused by air flow from turbo compressors and blowers at idle.
@@carpe_poon5761 Turbos don't do that at all and you can tune some of it out depending on how big the camp shaft is yes been around these boats most of my life happened on the one

@@dakotaautosales9673 Uhh yes it does, it’s called turbo surging, look it up. It’s just far more common with super chargers. More common in big ocean diesels.
Either way you look at it there’s a imbalance in air/fuel delivery. And I’ve spent my entire life on the water, I’ve been on board for poker runs and my uncle used to race Apaches(throttle man) which I’ve been on as well. That doesn’t mean I know EVERYTHING.
But I can tell you blower surging isn’t something that’s just inherently standard. It can be adjusted/tuned. I’ve been on Fountains, Formulas, Cigarettes, Sunsation. None of them surged like that. Some people think it’s cool. It sounds like shit

I have feel in love with go fast boats since watching Miami vices; Calderon's episodes, question the idle rpms fluctuating is that due to superchargers, big cams, big carburators, blower surge? Is it as simple as a timing issue to have them tuned?
That's a massive cam that makes it lowp like that at idle. The whistle sound is supercharger
