It’s not a bad thing to learn your manners and how to be polite. Sure they teach you table manners and how to dance, but they also teach how to look someone in the eye when they’re talking to you, when is the appropriate time/method to rebuff someone in public. Some teach you the manners of how ask the one person sitting alone at the party to dance with you.
same, except for the break downs and ai found out today Im going and atleast some of my rlly good friends r there to help me out and I also hate people and I don’t have any manners at all I just yell all day at my friend when we play video games together 😁 and I’m not nice to people half of the time
My mom threatened to send me when i was a kid because i 2asnt acting ladylike. Turns out i likely just had/have adhd. Today im 30 and i command a room in higher society situations, have the manners and the soft skills. Ive done all of that while still never giving up who i am. They’re not too lazy to teach their kids manners, the reason they send them to cotillion is to have professionals teach them manners in an environment best suited to do so in the presence of other children their age.

Awkward teenagers in their changing bodies don't long to be dressed up like clowns and thrown at another equally awkward teen. Plus there was only a handful of kids from my school so you better latch onto whoever you knew moderately as to not get stuck with some rando. Hated every minute, remembered nothing. 🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮

Waste of money, just teaches you how to dance and extra random manners that no one uses, like don’t lean your back on a chair and other extra manners 🙄. I understand manners are important but they just add the most random manners that no one uses. And the dancing part is just useless. Just teach your children basic manners instead of paying thousands.
