But now we know Galacta Knight not only has the power to harness the darkness AND the light, but that he can summon the heart spears that sealed Void Termina in the Jamba Heart. Oddly enough, while he's using the power of darkness.

I’m also really disappointed in how he never talked about the music. TKCD’s soundtrack was fine (though Revenge of the Puppet Master was sick as hell), but SKC’s soundtrack is infinitely better.

I actually like Galacta Knight's concept, the most powerful hero in the universe, huh. When you think about it maybe Magolor wants Kirby to get rid of him because his kind sealed him away in the first place?

What we used to know:
-Galacta Knight is the strongest in the galaxy
What we know now (because of Star Allies and Super Kirby Clash):
-Galacta Knight is immortal
-He doesn't like being immortal so he cries out for someone to save him (end his life)
-The "Butterfly of Doom" (that red butterfly at the beggining of most Kirby games AKA Death) hears Galacta Knight's cries and fuses with him, creating Morpho Knight and allegedly "killing" Galacta Knight
-Galacta Knight is also called the "Time Hero" indicating that, despite extra modes and spin-offs being considered non-canon, are canon to Galacta Knight alone, but only across parallel universes and timelines that he is often summoned to (this is also why many of the bosses in Super Kirby Clash have "parallel" in their name, because they are from a different reality)
-Galacta is also basically confirmed to be one of the four ancient heros that sealed Void Termina away due to spear hearts replacing his regular spears in one of the Light/Dark fights (I can't remember which)
-Essentially, after sealing away Void Termina, he does something that allows him to become far more powerful that the other three heroes and is sealed away in fear of his power (most likely by Hyness and the Three Mage Sisters due to Hyness's speach saying he put an end to the "galactic crisis")
-I'm guessing he got his great power from wishing on an early Nova, because once his light form is defeated, computer beeping and Nova sounds can faintly be heard as he floats into the air before exploding into a gust of feathers, which would probably be death under normal circumstances, but he instead "rises once again" in the party quests which I'm guessing means that Nova powers revive him every time he is close to dying, making him eternal (or an *Aeon Hero*)
So yeah, if you aren't too confident on your Kirby lore, think twice before saying something like that, or us defensive Kirby lore fans will hound you for it and ruin your day for no reason (I'm sorry, I just kinda wanted to talk about Galacta for like ten minutes lmao)

And I honestly love that ever since Kirby's Return to Dreamland we've gotten a ton of L O R E.
I have a theory that the cancelled GameCube game was going to be the big Lore game and the game that would’ve introduced Morpho Knight. But when it was cancelled they ended up putting more lore into the following games like Squeak Squad, Canvas Curse, and Super Star Ultra before Return to Dreamland really made things nuts when Magolor became Zero 3 and we learned about the Ancients.

@Bethany Bradley It kinda understanble that he would gloss over the game, since there are BARELY any differences between this and its 3DS sibling. Playing a game that is VEEEEEEEEEEERY similar to a past game is going to make you turn your attention off at points.

I'm actually kind of disappointed with this video. Ant really undersold this game, and even put TKCD above it, when that game is universally agreed upon to be worse. No mention of the music, he tossed away the story when there is some actually interesting stuff to be found, he didn't even acknowledge that Aeon Hero (Dark) existed, and, from what I can tell, he didn't even fully complete the game when he already had a bunch of Gem Apples that he bought for the sole purpose of powering through everything.
On the note of Galacta Knight, not only did he have significant lore added to him in this game, but he also has been gaining lore over the years, so I don't see where he's coming from with that.

My guy, this game literally hints at the fact that galacta knight was one of the 4 heros that sealed away the Jamba Heart (From Star Allies), one of his attacks are actually the spears from the jamba heart itself lol.
Also with the "Aeon Hero" thing, since this game takes place way off in the past, that's probably who he was until something bad happened and he became Galacta Knight, the most powerful and feared warrior in the cosmos...
And with Magolor Epilogue, this is more than justified.

Actually, Galacta Knight DID get lore. Him using the Heart Spears in his final fight and being named "Aeon Hero" suggest he was one of the four heroes who sealed Void Termina away. Though, its understandable you missed it. The Heart Spears didn't get any focus in Star Allies, so it's easy to miss the lore here.

I actually finished the game without spending a dime and rarely had to wait because I was low on vigor
Same here. I had 3 grinding sessions where I just popped one EXP orb and fought some bosses a lot but I wouldn't really say that the game was overly grindy or difficult without spending money.
If you have a buddy or two or three you will never run out of vigor. It's very nice about that. I did find myself waiting for apples once I ran out of missions to do but other than that I didn't mind spending 2 dollars and some nintendo gold coins to get the tree to give 30 per harvest.

Same for me as well. I liked this game a lot, and I never got far in the original because I feel like it wanted more money than Super Kirby Clash. I've played through the entire story and I'm now level 50 without costing me anything.
I only got the discounted apples that I needed because they were dirt cheap and even then, I didn't need them very often. The 3DS version requires more money if you don't want to wait.

Whilst I hate micro-transactions, atleast with this game if you have access to online, they're kinda pointless.
Finished the game entirely, got the best weapon (upgraded twice) in like, 20 hours without spending any money. And due to leveling up refilling both stamina bars, I never once had to stop playing since it was easy to level up.
So whilst probably unintentional on Nintendos behalf, and bad for profit, this game completely fails as a free to play game in terms of making money. (but good for players).
Having 900 missions makes it a lot easier to get apples too. So I never felt like I was short of apples, but I was a bit stingy with upgrading weapons till it was essential.

I rather play and enjoy the Kirby remaster than playing a racing game infected with VVS
and this team kirby clash is nowhere near pay to win based off other comments
I believe Super Kirby Clash handled their microtransactions way better than Mario Kart Tour. It's pretty much required for you to pay at least something in that game to make any real progression while Super Kirby Clash the microtransactions are more so for convenience of completing things quicker, rather than it being mostly mandatory. I guess the only thing Mario Kart Tour has going for it that it's repeatedly getting new content however I still believe that new content eats out your wallet. Purchasing things in the game, especially rubies should be much cheaper. XP
At least after many updates MKT got very F2P friendly and pleasant to play with event/tier shop, score challenges or all clear pipe.

"add some more significant lore to this guy or dont bother" thats literally what they did though, as dumb as it sounds a single move that the dark form of Aeon Hero has basically opened the doorway to so many implications with galacta knight, and for the first time in the series it makes galacta knight a canon part of the mainline games, I personally think this game was a gateway for more galacta knight lore in the next kirby game

I'm normally on the "oooooh microtransactions run away!" side of things . . . but honestly, so far the Nintendo games I've played with microtransactions have, I felt, handled them pretty well (at least on Nintendo's own platforms.)
I played about an hour and a half of this with a friend of mine on his switch, and it was pretty fun. I don't know that it's anything I'd bother to download myself, but as a multiplayer game for some quick co-op fun it has a lot of potential, especially in local play.

One thing that I'm disappointed with is the fact that they removed Sailor Dee from the town and replaced him with a regular Waddle Dee. Come on! You could've at least put him in the Seaside Village!
Online made this version waaay more fun and interesting than the 3DS version. You're also missing the Aeron Hero (Dark) lore implications. What a shame. Also, cannot stress enough that this game is way better. I stopped playing the 3ds version pretty early on at 20ish. But I beat and am still playing Super.
As much as I love Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and still play it on 3ds from time to time, I wouldn't say the game is good enough for me to get Super Kirby Clash on Switch which is basically just a port of the 3ds game.
@@Ariesguy41499 the main argument for this game over the 3DS one is that the vigor and gem apple mechanics are now made more generous. Now you don't have to pay 100 dollars just to beat the game in under a year.

Honestly, I'm at the Final Boss without spending any Money. Multiplayer is Fine with friends and you just need the apples wich is a Problem, yes, but I think in Super Kirby Clash, It's way better than on the 3DS because of the Party Quests, which you can basiccally play Nonstop. I like it.
How did you finishbthe game without spending money? It was completeky impossible for me, I ahd to but the Max Pack. Now I can play it whenever I want thanks to recieving 2000 Gem Apples a day, I've already completed every quest.

I hate this “smear literally any game with mtxs because I can’t fathom people having self control” mentality people have. The game is fucking great, has some killer remixes, easy to pick up and play for an hour or two each day, and I don’t even mind dropping like $10 because the game’s worth the weight in time spent playing it.

Hot take: I'll defend the microtransactions. I've done almost the entire game and I've spent a whole 2 dollars. I'd say that's worth it.
If you have a friend or two to play with youll basically never need to stop playing because youll level up before it gets back to you in the rotation if you ran out of vigor before.

If the game was robust, fun and offered more to do, making me WANT to throw in a few bucks every now and then, I wouldn’t care, Warframe does that and I’ll sometimes throw a few dollars that way. but spending money on a boring empty game in hopes that makes your game better? Nah fuck that. After shit like this and Mario Kart world tour, it’s becoming clear Nintendo don’t know how to make genuinely fun free to play games that don’t feel annoyingly restrictive in the content department
Wow Wow Wubbzy I’m just not a fan of doing the same thing over and over with barely much change to the formula. Free to play experiences like Warframe can offer a lot, so Nintendo of all companies I guess I expected more from here especially when it’s Kirby we’re talking about lol
Thesuperduperbooster I personally think that the micro transactions in SKC offered a good value, as you can spend less than retail price ($40-$50 depending on if you buy the max pack or various smaller packs) to essentially unlock the game and never have to worry about Gem Apples again. And even though you can spend more, the game tries to discourage you from over spending by not growing the tree any more after a point.
TheonetrueBoxman again, you’re spending 40 bucks to unlock a still boring game. The actual game is pretty empty and repetitive, and the “progress” just leads to doing more of the same for the sake of earning materials to get stronger weapons to do more of the same. It just doesn’t feel worth it to spend or continue playing. Nothing really changes. It just feels way too shallow for my tastes

I've been enjoying this more than Smash Ultimate. The cooperative multiplayer is just so satisfying. I also haven't had to pay a dime, which is cool. It's crazy, because I really didn't like Star Allies at all. I tried playing the original Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, but the grinding is way more unforgiving when there's no online party play.

The most hype thing about this game to me is the return of Nightmare, though I'm sad that it isn't technically the real Nightmare. He was always one of my favorite Kirby villains (mostly in design to be honest) and I wish he had a role in the games similar to Kirby Right Back at Ya.
He does have his anime voice in actor in super kirby clash ;)
I don't think it's the same Nightmare because if you noticed in Kirby's Adventure, he could only be defeated by the Star Rod while in Super Kirby Clash this Nightmare called "Parallel Nightmare" could be defeated by Kirbys with standard copy abilities instead of a final boss one. So yeah, I understand why they made the change since it wouldn't make sense to be able to defeat the original Nightmare without the Star Rod.

Heavy lore implications regarding Galacta Knight, big time.
There is some new stuff, you just didn't look deep enough I feel.
1. The music revamps, while pretty neat, aren't as good as full on remixes.
2. *Variations* of enemies. Not new ones. They use the same attacks and they can pretty much be fought the exact same way.
3. This one's even worse than the enemies. Reskinning a weapon and giving it different stats just isn't comparable to a new weapon. Which the game does have a couple of, so that's cool. But like... only a few.
4. I'll give you that one. Without Party Mode, I wouldn't have beat the game for free. But, you know, actually playing it alone instead of by yourself like I did... It's like Ant said: Mario Maker 2 all over again.

6. Ok... and besides purely cosmetic things, this does... What? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's better to have more visual variety, and I love how the Dreamscape looks, but like... they're not selling points. They're not Shiny Brand New Things that would make you want to play this game after already having played the 3DS Version (that's right, version - not prequel).
7. I *guess* I'll give you this one too, even though I personally think it could've and should've been handled FAR better.
There's pretty much nothing new of any significance here. Except for Nightmare, of course, but he's just One boss and constantly gets shoved aside for bosses like D-Mind and Galacta, which not only takes away his "plot" significance in this game, but also just... kinda makes him seem like a pushover. I'm not saying he is, some of his fights are tough! But when I fight him, I constantly get the sense that canonically, he's just a Little Baby Man compared to the aforementioned bosses. Which, you know, takes away some grandiose of his return.

Come on! Galacta Knight had the *BIGGEST* lore addition in this game! He's implied to be one of the heroes that sealed away Void Termina! His Aeon Hero Dark form uses the Heart Spears, for crying out loud! He's officially the strongest entity in all of Kirby! I can *NOT* believe you just missed that, my dude!
It easy to miss it since the Heart Spears didn't get any focus in Star Allies. They VERY briefly appeared during the intro and VERY briefly appeared during the transformation into the Star Allies Sparkler. That's it. And I don't think Antdude is SUPER observant for lore like the other lore fans, so again, it's easy for him to forget about the Heart Spears.

i feel like gem apples are more plentiful because the default level for the tree gives 10 now, magalor occasionally gives you 3, the 900 special quest and i even get news articles on my switch that give me 10 gem apples

you don't actually need to pay for the apples, just go to the apple tree, go to the shop, see if theres a gift, complete a boss fight, sometimes you get apples after beating them because of a quest, bing badda bop.
I never played the original and I love this game. So that's what this game is. A game for people who didn't play the og. This is legit an addiction, I can't stop. (Until, ya know. I have to)

If you ask me, Super Kirby Clash is more fair than the original. This time magalor helps you with giving 3 gem apples. (omg so much) also you can basically cheat the game with using the friend bell. (idk what it is called) call me a cheater but I play the game with this guy named bruh. Hes level 53 and he has full gold armor. (Yeah im very bad at kirby games)
Honestly while there wasn't much new with this game, I was happy to play it at least to wet my appetite for new Kirby.

The Abbysium Helm for the Sword Hero looks exactly like the Golden Helm.

The only exceptions are the Beginner's Gear (Rarity 1) and the (what i like to call them) the Canon Gear* (Rarity 3).
*Canon Gear is basically the gear you see the Kirbs wearing on the title screen
