  • Man-Boobs (Moobs) are a curse that plagues millions of men of all ages. Many have given up on fixing their man-boobs and just decided to live with them, or even have surgery. Neither of these options is necessary when you understand the root causes of man-boobs, and take the proper steps to shrink them back to normal.

It's very bad advice to tell people to avoid fruits altogether...you need 2 fresh fruits per day for that fibre as well and overall health.

    • @harimakenji7608

@mrmines2000 this channel is based on a guys opinion..not scientific research..fibre is already welll known to lower cholesterol and cardioprotective and prevent constipation..so you saying all uni courses teaching this should be all scraped cos some guy on youtube says it's bad? Lol

@mrmines2000 ok let's hear from these research about why fruits and fibre is bad for you? Lol I see none mentioned in the articles posted on the links which are all on man boobs.
Btw im an accredited dietitian trained in food science and theres already a plethora of strong studies on the health benefits of fruits and fibre for a long time so nice try lol.
The original OP simply tell people to avoid fruit based on his own opinion...it wasn't from the doctor who was in the video or based on any research. Just some random guy...you know...current recommendation is 30g of fibre daily for men for healthy diet....that number didn't magically appear without longterm studies and research...

Personal opinion here for the two of you. Start eating in season and see how that changes you. Not all fruits and vegetables are year around (yes i know, different places different climate) but only seasonal. Let your food intake be more natural.

Hey Dr. Thanks for the videos. I've been struggling with my weight for my entire adult life. I'm 41 now. I have had really good success in the past with low carb diets, but never stuck to them for very long. I was currently at 493 lbs 9 days ago, and I've already dropped like 30 lbs. I basically just eat boiled eggs, baked chicken thighs, roast beef ect. I've noticed that keto is really the only thing that works for me. I can actually go 36 hours without eating without even trying. I just never feel hungry anymore, so I don't want to eat anything. I can typically eat 2 large pizzas, a couple of orders of chicken wings and a family size brownie all by myself, but I don't have any of those cravings anymore. I'm starting to see a ray of hope. Thanks for all of your inspiration.

consumings things foods and drinks that are estrogen causers will cause manboobs to happen stop consuming estrogen causing foods and drinks then you shouldn't have to worry about having manboobs
only a health issue or drugs and or alcohol can cause it to happen if you don't consume the estrogen causing foods and drinks
and drugs and alcohol that should be obvious things to avoid for several other reasons not just the reason that they could cause manboobs to happen
bread and beer is a big time estrogen causer all of the types of bread and all of the beers not just some of them but all of them are estrogen causers
the higher the estrogen levels are in a man the higher you're body fat levels will be and will increase causing things like a fatty belly/gut and thigh fat and the what people call the double chin fat in that area too and of course the man boobs
if you don't want to be fat especially if you don't want those parctical areas of you're body to be fatty then stop consuming the estrogen causing foods and drinks especially avoid the breads and beers
confuming fish oil can also help it helps kill the fat in the blood obviously that will yeild positive results
so yeah how you eat you're diet that is 1 of the reasons why it matters in the sense of wether you are fat or not and that it will simply help out
internet search what foods and drinks cause estrogen if you don't know what does

I hear you bruh! This is excellent information. On my journey to rediscover healthy living I had some questions about oils, plastics, and H.I.IT. exercising and you are the first person I've heard to say it so plainly. I don't have scientific evidence to back you up, but I do know the small incremental improvements in my health has been leading me into the dietary habits that you described here. I have given up beer, wine and alcohol (maybe 2-3 times a year of max 20 ozs.) I prefer glass storage containers ( I was concerned by the all the plastics in the ocean), I recently discovered the studies on the plant oils you described and I switched to Olive Oil for 6 months and I feel much better and I don't eat out at places that use vegetable oils, and I have cut my grain/sugar intake down by 90-95%. All of these things have greatly improved my life. I will continue my research and lean more about these observations you've made and hopefully (fingers crossed) I will reduce these moobs to a chiseled chest! #keeptalkingDocwe'relistening

Unfortunately I am one of the guys who is not fat, and had male breasts that required surgery. No dieting or working out ever got rid of them. Even when I worked out and got to my lowest weight in years, they did not reduce in size even though I got skinnier and stronger.
So, to any guys out there who are in a similar position as me, just know you are not alone. Not all the time male breasts have to do with being obese or fat. Sometimes, they really are just persistent.
My endocrinologist found no underlying hormonal issues, but I had male breasts since elementary school all the way throughout college. It really devastated my mental health and I was on the verge of taking my own life at times. I was never comfortable in my skin. Getting the surgery really changed my life, and I just want to eliminate the stigma that male breasts are only from being fat.
I am 5'10, 180lbs. At my lowest I must have been about 155-160lbs. I worked out consistently and played rugby. Yet, my breasts never reduced in size. I heard from all sorts of people who said to just diet or work out; or that it was baby fat and would disappear over time. None of these things happened and I was never able to enjoy my teenage years as a teenager should.
If you have this problem, get the surgery. I had to pay out of pocket because insurance did not want to pay. I even went through a year and a half battle with insurance to get even partial coverage, and they would not budge. But, for my happiness and being able to feel comfortable in my own body, I refused to let money be the obstacle any longer. Trust me when I say this surgery changed my life.
HOWEVER, if you do find yourself in the overweight to obese category, and don't really work out or eat a healthier diet, then do take into consideration the tips given in this video.

      @aetank_yyteawu3436 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@riddyvibeyou can eat foods just don’t over do carbs. So many people eat high amounts of carbs for no reason. Example; steak broccoli and (carbs), grilled chicken and (carbs), quick carb meal (sandwich), breakfast carbs (cereal). You don’t need the carbs for any of those meals and breakfast you can replace with coffee and Greek yogurt. The carbs along with those meals just taste good. If carbs were the sole cause of moobs, Italian dudes would basically need bras. The problem is carbs need to get burned off or else they get stored as fat and if you’re overweight or have insulin problems, it’s likely that your fat is getting stored in your chest. In Italy, people eat quite a bit of carbs, yet most of the time people there are always moving around; unlike America where it’s usually seated work, driving, and couch along with a meal with simple carbs.

Several years ago there was a young man named Corliss Williamson that played on the Arkansas Razorback basketball team. He was really awesome. After that people could remember my name a little bit better. That is when I discovered it was a male or female name. He was the first male I had ever seen with my name. Lol🤣

    Dr. Ken,
I want to applaud you first and foremost for getting straight to the point and for providing solid steps on how to address the issue/root cause.
I am now subscribed and want to sincerely thank you. I try to educate myself and your words ring true with the research I have done to date and my personal experience.
I am 59 years old and while I still feel (in my mind) like I am 17, my body has been working at Mach speed to convert me into a woman. I am carrying fat in a distribution pattern that matches exactly what you described in this video. I have had some remarkable short-term success with intermittent (dinner only) fasting incorporating high natural fats while limiting sugar as much as possible.
I recently lost 35 pounds in 6 weeks (I needed AVN-related hip surgery and could not get it because of my BMI) using intermittent fasting, high natural fats, and limiting my sugar and alcohol intake. I stopped my alcohol consumption realizing that it was easily my greatest source of carbs with 0 nutritional value (also a likely contributor to my AVN).
Thanks for setting the record straight. I will follow you because you provided straight-to-the-point answers and allowed me to decide if I thought enough of your videos to subscribe and or buy any product that you may offer to help in the fight. I am not against spending some money but first I have to be convinced. Any video that does not get straight to the point is usually a scam to promote a product that is mass-produced and ineffective.
    Cheers Doc,
    Gary

Sir, try going salt free for a couple of weeks. I have the same problem with BP being high all my life. Mine stays in the 140-160 range even with medicines. I cut out everything with salt (and that is very hard to do) ... it is also bland and boring but it actually got my BP down to normal for the first time in my life (without medicines even!). My internet (academic/clinical) research has also shown me that this particular problem (salt hypersensitivity) affects approximately 7 - 13% of the population. In my case, if I exceed 1,00mg (TOTAL.. not just added) salt in a day, my BP goes back up to the 140 to 160 range and it can take 2 or 3 days (of towing the line) to get it back down again.

It’s likely idiopathic essential hypertension. Some have it even without weight gain and a poor diet. Also, simply lowering sodium and increasing potassium may not be enough cuz that pump is tightly regulated by the body and requires other nutrients such as magnesium to help regulate it. Discuss this with a doc you trust or a good nutritionist.

Cutting carbs brings weight loss due to the water associated with it. 1g of Carbs draws 3-5g of water into the muscle and third space. So, it'll make sense once you cut carbs but you have to eat carb at some point. What makes a difference is when you take carb cutting to the ketogenic phase. Once you begin losing weight once you are ketogenic phase you will be burning fat instead of losing water. Remember ketosis starts in the liver than progresses to viscerally stored fat.

I have had liposuction done in different places and it works nicely. If he has more weight to lose, then I would wait till he gets closer to the ideal weight he wants. Lipo is easy, not inexpensive, you are sore for a day or 2 or 3, heals nicely, minimal if any complications. Women do it all the time. Do it in the winter months.

You 100% correct. I went on keto & omad in sept and dropped 70lbs & my man boobs (according to my endocrinologist) were fat from carbs. I am 70 yrs old went from 230 to 160. Without the weight & moobs people guess my age at 48-55 now. I have all my hair and keto brought me back! Also walking 5-10 miles daily.

Sounds great, how much of your weight loss would you contribite to keto and how much to walking daily? 5-10 miles is pretty significant.

Good for you, I've never been super over weight, I am 5'8 and the most I have weighed was about 175 lbs and I felt like crap, My average weight after 35 was about 165 lbs. Almost 3 year now and Keto has helped me alot I have dropped to as low as 139 lbs. Im of and on keto, but when I am not on it. I don't abuse and always try and keep my carb count around 30-40 a day.
I've started keto again 3 days ago when I saw I went up to 153. This time its Keto with Intermittent fasting Im down to 149 3 days later. Manboobs suck. I didn't have them fully, but I was getting there. No Man boobs for me ever.

I'm 67. Male, 5'9". No alcohol, smoke or drugs. Not on ANY prescription meds. No diabetes or high BP. I've had moobs all of my adult life. Been doing Keto and intermittent fasting since May of 2022. I have lost about 30 lbs. and now seem to have plateaued at 200lbs. I'd like to be between 165 - 175lbs. Haven't noticed the moobs decreasing in size though. My only exercise is walking 3 - 4 miles every morning, and working around the house and yard. I'd like to try adding a few exercises that would help with the moob issue. Any suggestions appreciated.

To be that age and be completely abstained from drugs, not be on Any prescription medications, have good BP and be non diabetic is Super impressive. Props to you you must live a very healthy lifestyle. Push ups will go long ways towards moobs for they do wonders chiseling a chest. Cardio will still be necessary of course to keep lowering that poundage. Congrats again on all that success that is mighty impressive🎉

I noticed amlodipine on meds list. Unfortunately for me, I need that along with lisonipril for high blood pressure. That combo is what is working well for me for a few years now. I dont have man boobs, but my fat is around belly. I spend a lot of time at the gym on cardio, and am very lean everywhere except for belly area. I do have diabetes, but it is controlled with metformin, insulin, and exercise. You mention insulin, but I do use that and sort of need it to the tune of 25 units long acting per day, and about 7 to 10 units fast acting insulin during meals depending on the meal. I do notice a lot of guys do have man boobs everywhere I go these days. Youre video is interesting and informative. It is good to learn some of the whys and hows this sort of thing can happen.

I'm all in for calorie reduced carnivore. After 8 days I'm down 5 pounds and I feel fine. I have no carbs left in the house to tempt me but I'm feeling good and not hungry at all. I started at 217 pounds and am now 212. Last time I did Keto I ended up at 178 pounds after 3 months but I thought that I could eat some bread and pasta and potatoes occasionally after that. That was a mistake and over the covid winter I constantly gained weight. This time I'm taking your advice and cutting out those starchy carbs forever. The only thing I need is a pizza crust that is really low carbs to permanently keep my weight down and my liver healthy. I also switched from the occasional rum and coke to a shot of vodka or Gin straight up when I feel like a drink or to socialize. Thanks for the good advise.
