Soon kueh means kueh containing bamboo shoots not turnip. Turnip is mang guang. The video shows the stall selling mang guang kueh.
Thanks for the comment. You are right. 笋is bamboo shoot indeed. Over the year, It became a generic term here for the method of preparation and cooking.
So much hard work to make one type of kueh. What a labour of love! Can they cut down on the work with a vegetable shredder machine, I wonder?
Uncle prefers chopping the vegetable by hand although he does has a chopping machine.
This stall need recognition

There are having the same glutinous rice as ingredient. Only different is the color outlook. :)
