Huh, they must've changed it recently since you can see that at 9:30 i try to pop them and it says "no airbrake". If they finally got them then that's good to hear.
@@CatWerfer You're right that people don't know how to fly them, but the meta is far more suited for low-altitude, and planes that climb well. It's hard to do a lot with a P47 because it does better in longer matches. The games are just so short now
I know other youtube vids don't like to show full games, probably to try and hold the viewers' attention more and to just show highlights, but i feel like that makes it harder to demonstrate earlygame setup, which is just as important to winning as dogfighting skill. Glad you appreciate the uncut game-by-game commentary
@@nathancc99I'm currently borrowing the format off AdamTheEnginerd, if you like this format then I highly recommend you go check his stuff out, he's one of my biggest warthunder content creator inspirations.
@@CatWerferHaha yea I’ve seen his videos before and I knew something was familiar. You incorporate it very well. You said borrow, Do you plan to change the format?
I have plans to retain the essence of gameplay+text commentary but I have plans to make it more original and add my own flare to it, its just there's an initial time investment I need to put in to make it happen and so far I'm still in the planning phase of it
It's not the best and it's not the most braindead to play since it doesn't have the best turn or climb but if you play it smart, stay fast, and use your flaps, it definitely has carry potential
I appreciate that you’ve kinda stepped up as the new adamtheenginerd. (Albeit you rely on teammates more than he would but oh well) I always liked his gameplay and style but unfortunately he stopped doing TH-cam. Keep it up.
Thanks! I appreciate your comment! I want to be clear that while I am very deliberately using his format, I don't plan on trying to fill the hole in youtube that he left. While I like to think I'm above average and fairly decent in a dogfight, I don't have the technical knowhow of aerodynamics, and even if I did, I don't really have any explicit permission to take over his thing. I think I can get away with using his format because to be frank, it's pretty low-effort in terms of editing style and it is just about the most effective way to use text to convey a vehicle's pros and cons. (Also he is very much alive and still active on his discord server, along with his whole team of "enginerd" mods) I am planning on switching up the format soon to add my own flair to things but I want to maintain the essence of gameplay/vehicle analysis with informative commentary. The idea I have for it will take some initial time investment, which is why I'm gonna slow my upload schedule by a lot to work on it. I hope that what I'm doing shows that I'm coming from a place of respect and appreciation for Adam and the great stuff he's made for the WT community. He's a super massive inspiration (as you can probably tell), so if any of this comes off as impersonation for the sake of some selfish motive, I hope I can correct that.
Most of what I wanted to say is in the video but ill add one thing: A lot of US planes are very risk-reward oriented. You're fast and have a good engine, you turn well with speed, but you also lose that speed pretty fast so it's up to you to assess how long you think you can stick a fight before you lose your energy and have to disengage. You can do high risk hailmarys like the stallshots I make in the video or if you're not comfortable with that then try to have some altitude when entering the fight so you can disengage by diving away.
Generally its better to climb at a specific IAS than a set angle. As you get to higher altitudes, the air gets thinner so you need to lower your angle to keep your plane at a high enough speed to climb well. Climbing at a set IAS is better but still not perfect, a lot of this is engine and prop specific
unfortunately i suffer from what is skill issue so i need some tracers to hit anything lol if you can aim with stealth then they probably are better than all of the other belts
@@Enteropy23 well the p47 is faster and will probably turn inside the a10s circle. The only way I see an a10 winning is in the headon but that's kinda cheap and not the point of a dogfight

In my opinion this is one of the best props in the game and i love to see other people appreciate it as well.
P-47s are slept on, probably because most US pilots don't know how to use them

I love my italian p47. Great performance and th stock camo looks better than all p47s ImO.
Lovin the prop gameplay
I'm tryna strike a balance between prop and jet games since I like both, more prop stuff currently in the pipeline

Honestly the fact we haven't gotten the P47D-40 yet is a crime
Neglecting low and midtier props to sell the next shiny top tier premium jet is a classic gaijin move
also i want the xp 72 so bad! is just looks awesome!
One of the best props in game, at least imo. But i cant ever find anyone covering it
Not even close, the 6.0 mustang, the Lf mark 9 Spitfire, the LA-7, the Yak3u and so many more that perform way better in their BRs
So D-28 is definitely one of the better planes at its tier then?

Lol i thought Jug was cuz it looked like a snake that had eaten a milk carton
The d30 model has way beter aviomics than d28, also the engine seems better, on sims the d30 is on 3.7 br while d28 is on 4.3
