    That 28ft viz sounds insane. I fish some smaller lakes that often have 15+ ft visibility and tough finicky fish. TB's tips are the ones usually being passed around and discussed at the launches. They work! Great video!

      If you do throw a ton of big rocks in one spot and next time you come you can fish that spot if will make a rock pile where there wasnt one and will hold crawfish etc and bass blue gill shad etc will use that pile most likley especially in a pond with no rocks

      I never get pissed when kids throw rocks and things into the water, that's just kids being kids. What drives me nuts is striped bass fishing off piers and adults constantly shining their head lamps into the water and throwing their clam shells into the water. I try to explain to them as they cast a mile out onto the flats that we are standing on the structure that attracts them, they are traveling miles and miles along beaches with no features to get to spots like this rock jetty to feed, stop shining the light into the water and just lob the bait into the water so its close to the structure. They always fish with bells on the rod tips so for revenge I keep a bell in my pocket and ring it once an hour when nobody is looking lol.

    • @markloedding8238
      @markloedding8238 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The kids just being kids are the adults who shine lights in the water because no one straightened them out as kids.

    Every fishery in my region is considered clear water, visibility from 12ft-20ft. Finesse fishing is pretty much all you can do, power fishing won't get you a limit. Luckily we don't have much vegetation in AZ but rip rap bottoms are a constant denominator & they love to eat dark sleepers more than the fish do.

    Casting distance is king in clear water if you have a long shaded area you're working, use the wind, everything, on the gin clear waters up here it's everything if you can bomb a cast with spinning tackle and fancy lines and long rods and dark sleepers are amazing, thanks for that one

    We've had a lake house on Greers Ferry lake, Ar for years. SUCH a different game than the dirty river system I'm used to! Took me YEARS to catch a few bass on every outing!!
    It doesn't help that it's a huge pleasure boating lake (I fish early AM, we use the Tritoon after 10 to have fun) and one time I looked down and saw a bug crawling across a rock. Clear as if it was in 3 inches of water in a sink. I looked at my graph and it was 12 foot deep!! I sighed and put down the fun bait I was throwing and now stick to tiny TRD Ned Craws or a drip shot. I wish I enjoyed those baits more, but I just do it to get bit.
    I grew up and still fish in the Arkansas river, its dammed lakes and tributaries where I can throw a big 'ole spinnerbait and not see it a foot down. I never knew how good I had it until I had to fish that clear lake in GF, lol. Oh well, we are Blessed to have the lake place and the kids are starting families too...so it gets used a lot.
    Thanks for these tips, sir! May your 2021 be awesome- for all if the TB crew.

Like myself, I have 3 park lakes where I can rent a row boat and toss a trolling motor on it and fish the lakes but it is hard to find fish sometimes. I went to a small pond at a park in town and the water is pretty clear there too, but it's very shallow, no more than probably 5ft in the middle, so I didn't even expect any bass there. But I was looking and saw a HUGE bass swim by a school of bluegill. I bet it's at least 5 pounds. I was fishing for bluegill with worms so I cast near the bass multiple times but apparently it wasn't hungry or was being lethargic, a cold front just passed. And visibility line? Again there it's a very shallow pond so you can see all the way to the bottom.

    I fish spring fed water, the water is 70/72 year round, it’s super clear, and it has really big largemouths. I bank fish there once a week. A bad habit I built, I have bad eyesight and I want to get 2 feet away from the water and they see me and get finicky and either they’ll swim off or if you throw any lure couple feet away they’ll swim off. So I started casting way ahead cause I kinda figured where they hang out. And stayed back.

    I subscribed about a year and a half ago. Love your channel. What do you recommend or are you going to do a video when you encounter a really muddy lake? For example you dropped your bait off the shore and within 4 in of the surface it's gone, you can't see it. Forgot to mention that we're talking about Maryland. It is one of the only states that does not have any natural lakes. All of the lakes in this state are man-made. Seems strange, but if you look it up, you'll find out its true. Maryland is a state that never had a true lakes, and all of them were made by man. The ones that obviously were made they did a poor job of ensuring the water was clear. They're just run off pools to keep flooding under control. Some of the larger lakes are actually reservoirs and still the water is extremely stained if you would even call it that. I live in northern Maryland around Frederick, we even have to pay a rain tax. The tax supposedly goes to creating ways for the water runoff to go into the lakes that they've created.

    Hi I live in the midwest Wisconsin. I do a lot of smallmouth fishing in Lake Michigan. Where are some of the nice places to catch bass around my Marina bye the Pier that leads out to the middle open channel or inland. I don't know if you fish in the Milwaukee area by the McKinley Bay Marina just wanted to know what where would you fish for bass in that area and it's very clear water .

    What’s your guys thoughts on using the NRX 894c for T-rigging a creature bait in timber, docks, and sparse vegetation? 20 pound line east Texas. If not then what rod? Using a E6x 894c right now but want to step up

    Where did I go wrong? I bought the spark shad 3” and the okashira heads. They both have eyes so do I cut the eyes off the shad? I’m a noob so apologies if this is a dumb question

    That Chart blue Keitech looks different underwater for some reason, looks way more natural than above water.

    Would love to fish ultra-clear water some day. The ponds/lakes I fish are stained to dirty. 3-4 feet of vis is as good as it gets.
