The smell of hot paint and oil on a fresh engine is something you will never forget! Great video
Shook the whole house! Tells you how structured sound our houses are today.
Just found your channel! I have a 1970 Chevelle looking to do exactly this! You're very inspiring!
Love the color and definitely love the sound great job
Man what a beast that Elcamino sounds. I've now subscribed to you're channel thanks to you're Elcamino.
Man she fired right up. Sweet. Looks really clean
Man that sounds so healthy, nice work
Beautiful built... and car ... I'm currently working on same set up for a nova 79
Nice big block build bro!
sweet ride sounds great love that bbc good taste in intake and carb choice
Sounds awesome it scared ya that’s what ya want I love them like that is how all cars should sound good looking elcamino
Taylor, great job man! my hat's off to ya, watching your El Camino build made me feel about 40yrs younger! when i was your age my friends and i were always working on cars, it's getting really hard to find young men that want to tear into their car's and build their motor up or put some gears in the rear end or swap an auto for a four speed, we always had something going, to putting a straight front axle under a 62 impala to putting a 396 in a 68 firebird, i have 2 72-74 corvettes that I've been working on for years now and i can't find any young guys at all, that seem the least bit interested in what I'm doing, it's like the hot rod days are coming to and end. i hope you and your friends will keep these old hot rods alive, they were a lot of fun! my hats off to ya, great vids.
shotdog thank you!
I love these types of things, I’m 23 and like in the UK but very hard and very very expensive to do any of this here. Hoping to come over to the US this year and find something, do a bit of work and ship it back to England 🏴
Hey man im 17 and in love with engines and mechanics but things are hard to customize nowadays because of price for parts
Glad to see Elon Musks' hotrod is a big block chevy
Bad ass ! Sounds tight 👊🔥
That feeling is like no other
Sweet..............I have a 496 BB in my 1964 Chevy truck
Damn sounds like a monster
Dude, you are not running a Fram filter like the other bozos on Utub e. Way to go!!
I'm almost done w my 468 big block in my 1969 chevy nova
Awesome Video. Question, what lift are you using? It fits perfect in your garage. Could really use one of those. Yep gonna purchase asap.
Did you have to add a TPS sensor onto your carb for the swap? thanks
Any build info,cam, compression ect
Subbed😎
Thank you!
you should have primed the engine with a priming tool that goes distributor hole and they have also done away with the front and rear intake gasket
How much compression are you running and what heads and cam are you running?
You have a standard size height garage ? What type of lift do you have ?
What wiring did you need to make the 4l80 work with the big block?
Hey I gotta 468 in my 69 camaro I just purchased what type of oil do you run and what brand thanks.
Sounds amazing! What cam are you using?
What’s the part number for the headers
Where was this filmed?
What oil pan?
What do you call that paint color?
what camshaft is that
What cam are using?
Love that music. Hope to crank mine soon! 69 Chevelle!!
Sweet man very nice. I assume you did the break in off camera. But wat a beast
Thank you! Yes I did break it in off camera. It was too stressful for me to do and film at the same time haha
It has a roller cam
Im very close to starting my rebuilt 468 in my 74 nova. I need to make a check list so i dont forget anything. What heads are you running.
the shark these are are actually procomp 300cc oval port castings that were professionally built and ported. 2.25 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves. Pistons have 27cc domes which bring static compression to 10.5:1. Cam is a lunati street and strip roller 242/252 @.050 lift .598/.612 intake and exhaust lift.
@@TaylorSmithAutomotiveChannel yep. You got some money in that thing. Im running 781 heads with a small flat comp cam. Heads have some port work done. Im about a week or so away from starting mines. I will try to to do a vid.
Damn, I am in love. That is lumpier than my wife’s “mashed” potatoes.
Anybody know how much hp the 468 big block has stock??
Jonathon Wolff 600hp
Why you just didn’t change the yoke?
Sounds good little tunning and you'll have fun , my 454 knocks things down of shelfs in the garage constatly so yeah camera don't do justice!
There goes another flat camshaft supposed to rev that thing up to 2500 to 2000 RPM for 30 minutes brother where are you at?
Roller motor
🤦♂️ flat roller cam 😂
Sounds mean. Need a muncie 4speed.

Lift your camera up some bro so we can see what your talking about
What Camshaft and torque converter did you use? Im in the same boat as you and wondering what converter I should run based on my cam i need 2200-2400 stall.
That has to be 900hp
