Winter is coming closer AND we have a rain storm incoming so we have to start preparing the cabin! Today we do the yearly summer sort out and run a ton of errands in Longyearbyen. I hope you enjoy this video and thank you so much for being here! ☕️✨

Me too! If I had a choice to choose one place to move anywhere in the world, it would be there! And I love the casual-dining it's like you're in your own living room.
My grandpa used to work in coal mines many many years ago. He actually died from coal miner's disease. So cool mining anything will always have a special place in my heart .

Is it just me or did this summer fly by particularly fast? Halfway through august already is insane. No complaints though, Fall is my favorite season and I’m ready for all the fall vibes (and pumpkin!) especially on Cecilia’s channel.

Same for me. We had really bad weather in northern central Europe. June was pretty good, but since then we never hit 25° Celsius again which is very abnormal.

@@therentveil1197 Hillbillies are lucky to have you looking out for them! You should start a Hillbillies Lives Matter group. Educate them on how poor and oppressed they are. I personally know people who refer to themselves as hillbillies, hicks, and rednecks. They’re all hardworking, fun loving people. Not one of them would be offended by someone on the internet saying they look like a hillbilly after a morning of hard work. You’d better learn them about cultural appropriation! Do it! Start a HBLM! You’d be great! 🎉🎉🎉

I am living in Italy which is not my native country so I am not used to the heat.
Every time I am fed up with heat and city life......I watch these videos and I thank the lord that I am not living in that place. Wonderful for a 2 days visit for sure. But if I had to live there.....wow....the depression would take me out within the first winter.

Yep. North Texas and I mowed my acre today. 102 degrees Fahrenheit. I’d love some rain.
My AC hasn't shut off in 6 weeks. The bill is insane. I definitely want cooler weather, over the 100⁰F plus heat
Cecilia could possibly be the most totally positive person in the world.
hunched up under the house, which is super awkward and killer on the knees, grinning happily, "OH! this is nice and cozy down here" as she cleans out the trash, walking uphill carrying a large wooden pallet, smiling happily.

I was surprised to see the house is not skirted. We skirt raised homes in the US, for several reasons:
1) cuts down on the wind flowing under, and sometimes the skirting is insulated to cut down on heating costs.
2) keeps wild animals from taking up residence under the house.
My Sunday mornings start with a coffee (or three) and the new Cecilia (and always hopefully some Christoffer) video and that makes them pretty much perfect.

I'm surprised you house isn't skirted in, but, I guess the snow takes care of that in the winter. Here in Canada it would be skirted for heat purposes.

With how expensive all your imported firewood is, I was confused to see you taking all that wood to the tip instead of cutting it up for firewood later? Are there laws about that?

We are in an extreme drought here so watching just a moment of rain was so satisfying! A good clear out feels so good, it's like a start over button 😊. And love every moment of Grimm!!!

All that rain is something I really miss about Norway. In Stavanger, it would usually start around mid-september, and continue through November. In other words, it ushered in fall, my favorite season. So cozy.

9/4/2023: Thanks for wearing your TSC cap. That’s Tractor Supply Company to the uninitiated. The Customer Solutions Center is in Tennessee! Just up the road about a wagon-greasin’ from us in Brentwood, a suburb of Nashville. My town has a TSC store about a mile from me.

I hope the wood is used by someone given the cost of transport and disposal. I wish we paid for old vehicles here in the states. I want to start a recycle station at my local dump - freecycling. Love that college kids support yours- makes me think differently about how to grow something like this.

I love your channel. I live in alaska. Meant to text earlier about your comments about the long sunlight days. When it’s daylight and sunny you almost feel guilty about not being out enjoying it and being productive. Winters here are so relaxing. Sleep, drink coffee, chill, cause it’s too poopy to be outside Playing . It’s liberating

If you enclosed the entire perimeter like part of the house is, with parts that flip up to access it, that would be a nice storage area and if it were enclosed, trash couldn’t accumulate underneath. I’m a big organizer and love good storage space, so seeing the underneath of your cabin is always so satisfying to me😂

My husband has always used a belt to walk our dogs, he makes his own. only downside is our retriever has never learned to walk on a proper leash and tends to pull a lot. Grim seems very polite. I will show our Peach how its done.😀

You should insulate between the joists underneath. Will make quite a difference to heat retention.
