My brother lived in Colorado for almost twenty years. On my visits he showed me the state. So many fun things to do. We took the Narrow Gauge steam engine ride from Durango to Silverton, visited Ouray and Box Canyon Falls, the Black Canyon. We rode to the top of Pike’s Peak, visited Mother Cabrini’s shrine, the Denver Mint, Olympic Village, Red Rocks National Park, Glenwood Springs hot pools and so much more. It’s an amazing state and so beautiful.
Homeschooling is the best, gives them both so many more social skills, conversations etc
Welcome to the blessed world of homeschooling. It's an adjustment but so worth it once you find your time-management groove. Very good call in these times. ❤️

I LOVE that your daughter is learning to sew. I've been sewing since I was around 9 years old (55 years ago) and also helped my two daughters and son learn to sew. They had a small bit of it in school but nowadays most schools no longer teach it, so it's up to family to pass it along.

I need a map of the places you're visiting! It's sad that I've lived in CO since 2002 and have never been able to explore, but I intend to change that. I've been on such a funk since 2022. Completely fell off the WFPB lifestyle and went right back to eating SAD and basically gained back 40lbs, menopause kicked in along with a general malaise. However, I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my life as my kids are older, I'm single and can do whatever I want. And i want and need to be healthy, physically and mentally, to really get the most out of life. So many things I want to experience and places to see, right "in my back yard".
I love how you have decorated, especially the black. The "Scandi" look really pops with the beautiful nature of CO. And the appreciation for the land that your family has is such a wonderful example!
