- In 2024, we are bound to have some HUGE crowds at Cedar Point. SO... let's talk how to avoid or escape those crowds during the 2024 Season. Including also what rides (or ride types) to hit throughout the day to make your day just a little bit easier on you.

Last year was my first time back in 20 years. My daughter is 13 and it was her first time going. She LOVED all the rollercoasters. We went during Halloweekends in October and it was crazy! This year we are going May 16th so I’m looking forward to a more relaxed atmosphere. We are also staying at Breakers so I’m excited to take advantage of the early entry an hour before the park opens. So excited to go back!
Going for 5 days during one of the recommended times in May. Seriously can't wait! Lol. I went 2 years ago around the same time and it was great. Can't wait to be back! The only thing I'm disappointed about is the park closes at 8:00 each day, so I won't have any nights in the park after dark. But, it will leave me plenty of time to wander the beach with a drink and gaze through the gates😊

Early entry my go to last year was: Gatekeeper Anthem Ride, Wild Mouse, Millie, wait at Mav 15-20 minutes prior to opening, one of first 4 trains usually. Then I work over towards iron dragon so i can make what i call "the gp loop" where i do what you're describing- try to stay a few steps ahead of what the other parkgoers are thinking

@@notyournormalg1 hey man, it's enough people to tell their friends and then they figure it out, and tell their friends, and so on and so on. Before you know it, Thursdays look like Saturdays, and the Thursday hack is ruined. Thursdays are kind of a CP regulars night.
I've been going to CP for over 20 years. Never go on the weekends. Duh

I live in central Ohio and buy a season pass every year but I will only go on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
I could only get the second week of june for my vacation at work. Already bought 2 Fast Lanes Plus for weekdays. I hope it won't be packed and I can get some re-rides 🤞
I'm also visiting Kings Island, but on a Saturday and I'm a bit worried about the crowds, then I bought the Fast Lane too.
Same, I’m going on a Friday on 6/14/24 with Fast Lane Plus, and hoping to get extra credits and re rides!
With fast lane you should definitely be good. Especially early in June.
@notyournormalg1 oops... actually I'm going on the third week of june.
Remember that with the daily fast lane, you will only get 1 ride on TT2, unless they change it by then. Also, Kings Island ops do SOOOOO much better with fast lane than CP does. I've never waited more than 5 mins for a fast lane que at KI in the 3 years of doing it. Not even on a Saturday during haunt. At CP, you'll probably wait a half hour for certain rides. Even on weekdays. The fast lane for Steel Vengeance SUCKS.
Thursdays during halloweekends were nice. The more people that think Thursdays are the best night to beat crowds, the more busy Thursdays will become. Eventually it turns into another saturday.
But if no one shows up for those better crowds, then Thursdays would become not viable. the fact is, thursdays are during the work week, so very few people can make them unless they leave work and then leave the park at midnight (which i recommend if possible)
it's just not normal for everyone to be able to do, so lines will always be smaller than those on Saturday. Although, Thursdays are substantially more popular than they used to be.
@@notyournormalg1 while that is true, you can tell that Thursdays are getting noticeably busier than they were when they first started doing it. There's a lot of people who live close enough to make a Thursday night trip viable. Hell, I've been doing Thursdays since they started, and I live an hour and a half away. If they end up being super busy though, I'm not gonna bother going up. We aren't the only ones thinking that way either. Trust me, cedar point is getting enough people through the gate on Thursdays. If they weren't, they wouldn't be continuing it. They would have scrapped the idea just like they did with forbidden frontier, and snake river expedition. 2-3 years, and cut it. It would have been on the chopping block if it didn't bring enough people in. And it definitely gets busy enough the later you get. October Thursdays can get about as busy as a Friday night.
When you get early access in the 2024 season with the all park passport .at cedar point are you allowed to just wait in line until top thrill 2 opens ? Do people do that?
You are allowed to. And I might try that, I’m not usually a fan of waiting in lines for a ride that has not opened yet though.
The website says the park is open on Friday, September 6th; however, I'm planning on going on September 7th and hoping to go in the evening on the 6th. Curious, are all the rides still available, or are some closed because the season is over? Thanks to anyone who answered
All the rides are still open. The park is not closed at that point, that’s why it’s one of my biggest tricks.
With Cedar Point being the home park, I am not going to go unless its a weekday morning or Thursdays on Halloweekends. For all other times, I am going to Kennywood or Kings Island.
That’s actually a really good strategy if you’re central enough to all three parks! Kings island is definitely better on the weekends than Cedar Point is.
Not your normal guy is this a good plan? Hit Millie at ERT and wait for TT2 until it opens! Then head to the back of the park
I think a lot of ERT people will come in for ERT and go straight to top thrill. that just won't probably be my plan. (Unless i try it just to show you guys what happens.)
It will have a long line definitely. Might be good to get there right before regular park opening at 9:00.
You are literally the best Cedar Point information source on TH-cam! I always have a basic plan of attack for a CP day. However as you know, that never goes according to plans (rides down, weather, etc). So I usually have to adjust on the fly, to avoid the crowds. For ultimate park desolation I recommend a Tuesday in early June. For chill spots I do the midway benches across from the arcade, the shaded seats behind Auntie Em's/Pagoda, & the tables by the bathroom's & first aide in frontier town.
Do you think we can ride all the coasters in the park in one day nothing else but coasters is that possible on a saturday
I’ve done it before without fast lane! So yes!
What tier is Rougarou?
I would say probably 3, but it’s really up to you. Just a way to organize your thoughts about the coasters to help you think about what to ride and when.
At least this year, the morning time short lines at magnum will be ruined. With top thrill opening that whole gemini midway section is gonna be slammed early.
That’s quite possible. We’ll see when the park opens and we start the whole day vlogs.
Season Fast Lane plus is a must this year with Top Thrill 2.

Hey there man I’m stuck on going the first week of June or waiting until June 17- (park stays open later). I have heard first week of June should be fairly dead but people also say ops are slower and stuff is down more etc etc.. But on the flip side of the crowds in middle to late June are much longer then the time difference evens out. Also I personally don’t like or tolerate heat very well.
I’m staying 4 nights at the breakers. This is a dream trip for me and I’m spending lots of money so I want to make a wise choice. What do you think man?
June is decent. Not the lowest lines, but they shouldn’t be terrible. I wouldn’t expect the lowest lines though. I hope you have a blast!

@@fishels3895there are always anomalies, but as a general rule of thumb, the later in the season, the bigger the crowds get. So later in June will have bigger crowds.

You forgot Rougaru in your coaster tiers ;)
That's because Rouga-NO sucks, and should have been removed from the park years ago.
@@Spike-sk7ql Better name is Rouga-woo because if you know how to ride it, you're the real winner. I'll ride rougarou 3-4 times in a row, great ride, definitely gets a line in the middle of the day, and if it were at any other park it'd never be a consideration to remove it.
Enthusiasts tend to react the same way to rougarou that they react to really rough coasters like old arrow loopers. In Rougarou's case, I'd call it over-dramatic to react that way.
When all is said and done, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm grateful to not share your sentiment of the ride.
Rougarou is rarely over 20 minutes. Usually about 5-10 minutes.
