- I went to Cedar Point with @themeparkmark1 and we decided to do an experiment!
The idea was: how much can you do with a Fast Lane Plus vs. with a base ticket? so... we gave ourselves three hours to see who could do the most. You might think you know who lost this challenge (and you would be right), BUT... the results still might surprise you.
Hopefully this will give you an idea of what fast lane plus can do for you on a weekend at Cedar Point!
I'm sure I had more fun doing this challenge than @notyournormalg1, but another great video nonetheless! I still cringe at myself on camera, but I think this is very helpful to many that are considering getting fast lane plus!

Awesome challenge! When I was younger, there was no Fast Lane, and I remember routinely waiting 2 hours for Magnum, and hour for Gemini, etc. I feel that I put my time in! Now, when we go, we want to ride, not wait. I'd rather go less often, but ride more while there. But then again, I'm getting old and time is more precious than it used to be : )

The wait times on the app are a joke. I wish they at least would be accurate about whether it is running or closed.
We normally don't get fast lanes, but we sprung for them this year for our trip because our friends are joining us and they don't get to go very often. So they want to ride as much as possible.
Definitely worth it!

The wait times on the app will be off, but people look to the app for the wrong reasons. If they are constantly on their phone searching for the shortest wait, then they aren't doing themselves any favors. Any coaster could go down at any moment. It's best just to choose a circle and bounce from one to the other. You would waste time looking for the shortest wait. The App though will given you a good indicator if the park is busy. If the smaller coasters are 30 minutes, it's a busy day. If they are 15 or less, pretty empty. If the bigger coasters are more than an hour, it's gonna be a rough day.

NEW RULE - If anyone gets caught with a phone out, instead of getting kicked out - they lose their phone until they leave and get beaten by Officer Snoopy in the Pig Pen with a sock full of damn soap like "Full Metal Jacket" in a Public Square.......Perhaps have this showcase of pain take place at Lusty Lil's to bring it back.
I would pay $15 admission to see Cedar Point Line Cutters and Phone Funkers get whooped as a show On God AF.

An idea could be exploring the cedar point information app they have by the landmarks with the QR code- we tried it and it prompted us to download an app but it then showed some informational material about the park!
My record, since keeping track, was 25 big coaster rides in one day without fast lane. I could have done more but I wasn't trying to go for a high number that day, and I even left the park early.
Does Fast Lane + allow you to pick where you sit on the coaster, like do they let you pick if you want to ride in the front or in the very back row? Love your videos!! 👍
Honestly, it kinda depends on the employee. , but you can always ask and reride if you didn’t get the seat you wanted the first time.
Would be cool to continue this challenge to an extent, or at least set a time to complete rides and return to a certain point in the park where the video opens (and penalty for being late)
I'd rather not go to the park at all than go without a fast lane.
A lot of people feel that way. I have friends that feel that way.

@Not Your Normal Guy Not talking about you because going to the park alot and making content is your thing. For me If admission plus a fast lane comes out to be 3x what a person would pay, I bet a person with fast lane could ride 3 times the amount of rides and not have to wait in the lines and ride everything at CP probably twice in one day where that would take several trips for someone without a FL to do.
You just have to use strategy and you can get plenty done without a Fast Lane. Go to the big rides during early entry, right at opening and later in the evening. Go on the smaller rides when the big rides have long lines and look for any bigger rides where the lines aren't quite as long. The only time I have Fast Lane is when they give me a free one for renewing my pass early. I honestly wish they would get rid of it completely though.
I agree. Strategy will get you far at CP, and that’s why I started this channel!
Next time when your walking down the fast lane, constantly say ‘you’re poor’ to the other lane :)
There are new Single Use Fast Lanes at King’s Island. I hope they head to Cedar Point someday.
I'm super excited about it, seems like a much cheaper way, to make sure you ride your favorite rides!!

I despise when those numbers are totally wrong because it causes ppl to comit to a long trek to try it.. or worse, they make it in at a 10 min wait... but it actually ends up being waaaaay more!
What do you think of this challenge? And… do you have any ideas for future challenges?

@@DreamofThrills Ohhhhhh.... I feel like that would be hard to pull off because you'd have to walk up there and I think ride ops would send you a serious side eye, but... it's TEMPTING.

@@danielwirth8388 it’s sold during the off season. And it’s an add on for gold, platinum or prestige passes.
@@danielwirth8388they sell out very fast so when passes for 2024 go on sale, you will want to grab one asap.
I feel like a trip to CP without a fast lane should focus on rides like Magnum and Gemini, the capacity monsters. Waiting 2 hours each for Maverick, SteVe, Gatekeeper, and Millie just doesn't sit well with me, even when I have friends to hang out with in line. If you have Fast Lane at CP and are not marathoning Maverick to some extent, then I don't really feel that one is maximizing their time. Such a great ride with always a station wait with FL, dreadful wait otherwise.
You mentioned about the app not being great with times, if you are going prior to June, will you test out to see how accurate the ride times are with the new app that came out? I think the update came out yesterday. What are your thoughts on the new app so far?

Cedar point is about a 5ish hour drive fir me. 95 percent of the time I buy fast lane because I want to maximize my time.

this was never about whether I could beat Mark, it was just a fun couple hours to spend and was more about how much I could actually do in that time vs how much he could do.
