Capital Ships on Duna - KSP/Star Wars

- The Kerbals are at it again, this time fighting with pirates and independents against a small Star Destroyer on Duna. All craft featured in this KSP video are pure stock but do require the infinite fuel hack from the Alt+F12 debug menu in Kerbal Space Program.

Jett Quasar How do the speeder bikes hover?!?!

If you're talking about the "navigator on a spice freighter" line, that was actually from the original Star Wars movie. George Lucas "borrowed" lots of ideas from classic sci-fi.

I did it but had to add parachutes and add other weight to make a go cg for the thruster to de orbit duna
You should put landing gear on it instead of wheels.

No need to adjust the sight, it's just than all those turrets are manned by stormtrooper ;-)
C'mon, stormtroopers have good aim, just all main characters have the force, and they were ordered to take the main characters alive. In all offscreen battles, stormtroopers kick butt.

It's called the "Camera Tools" mod. I'm using it in V1.2.2 of the game, I'm not sure if it has been updated for V1.3.

I know this is supposed to be stock, but you should consider using BDArmory for better, stronger, faster, bigger weapons.
The Kerbal Empire will add new technologies as the story progresses... I do everything in stock right now so that I can share out the craft files without restrictions. I make these videos so that they're not only fun to watch but helpful in showing the features of the designs for the average KSP player.

You can have two versions of each, a stock version which you share and the modded ones (like say you add BDArmory weps you just use in video or w/e)

Alt+F12 is the game debug menu it allows you to do things that are... unnatural.

Great Video! i was just gonna say, i am a mega star wars fan myself, and Star Defenders are Ships that look morely like Mon Calamari cruisers, but great video :)
I wanted a name that was like a Star Destroyer but not actually it, so when I came across a Strident-Class Star Defender I thought it was a good match (the Mon Cal style are the Viscount class). It's non-cannon so I figured there wouldn't be an issue.

Exactly! Right now I'm doing a mix of craft release videos and a bit of story. Once I have all my craft out I will do a complete scripted series that will continue on the adventures including custom modded worlds in addition to the ones in the game.

Get the bd armory mod so much more useful and can Make star destroyers and other ships look so much better and can make your vids easer
Yeah, I'm doing everything in the stock game right now so that I can share out my entire Star Wars collection without restrictions. As this progresses the Kerbal empire will develop new tech (mods) and use them against the Rebels. It's a whole story line thing.

Yes it is a subtle reference to Dune but it's an actual line in the original Star Wars movie as well. Luke says "My father was a navigator on a spice freighter" to Obi Wan when he told him Anakin was a Jedi Knight.
