I'd encountered Charlotte before meeting the campfire stalker when playing this game a few years ago. Even though Arthur was sick. I thought during that second interaction with Charlotte that she spiked his meal with something. Similar to what the brother and sister do to you at that pig farm. All that loneliness in the woods drove her a bit loony.
@@Orophile_303 Again, i know where Arthur got the TB from. He got it from beating up that one dude that wouldn't pay up at the Ranch. I thought the loneliness got to Charlotte and she purposely spiked Arthur's meal. So that she could, I don't know, keep him there or whatever longer. It wasn't until he started coughing that I figured it out. His TB was acting up on him and caused him to pass out.
same here, Sean. It was well-timed. The fact she was talking about her past, and Arthur was beginning to fall unconscious backed up that thought. However, I'm glad I was mistaken. I personally quite liked Charlotte. Also, for those of you that think I didn't know that Arthur was sick... use your common sense. I know Arthur had TB at that point. however, the falling unconscious right after eating food? c'mon dudes & dudettes! You can't deny that it was perfectly timed on Rockstar's part. They probably wanted us to think she was dosing him to use as a sex-pet or something. They could've easily had him fall unconscious just before sitting down at the table or as he sat down.
@putsome basilonit Once again, i know that. On my first playthrough, I thought Charlotte spiked Arthur's food at first. That same unconscious vision graphics started up after Arthur had already started eating. The brother and sister couple at that pig farm spiked Arthur's meal and when he started to pass out. That same unconscious graphic started to play out. It wasn't until he started coughing that I understood that his TB was acting up on him. I thought Charlotte went a little loony after her husband died and was out in the wilderness alone for some time. So when Arthur came around, she wanted to keep him around. So she spiked his meal. Do you understand now?
In my play through she doesn’t die of starvation. I encountered her once as Arthur and then came back as John and she was doing pretty fine. She said any friend of Arthur’s is a friend of hers and I proceeded to finish her stranger missions as John.
I didn't know she could die of starvation, is that the result if you dont complete all her missions as Arthur? I liked her a lot and made a point of looking for any new missions for her. I know rockstar have a certain cynical style but I could have done with a lot more missions like that. Going back as John to tell of his passing had me tearing up.
When you first meet Charlotte, I thought she accidentally killed her husband because she said she was good at picking poisoned berries. I figured she fed some of them to her husband. Then I figured she lied to Arthur about him being attacked by a bear.
Respect for Charlotte, Hamish, and Hosea. Two of which were Arthur’s good friends and one of which was like a real father. RIP 😭😭 ... And nobody can forget LEENNAHY
A great dialogue for before you kill the stalker: Arthur: Well, since you seem to fancy this lady so much, you know her name? Man: No not really, but not yet tho, I will get to know her better soon. Arthur (while glaring at him): Charlotte. Her name is Charlotte. Man: What? How do you know that? Kill him
Yeah I saved my game before I interacted with him just so I could enjoy killing him over and over. Idk why but I felt so protective over the girl for some reason.
She honestly seems like one of the most genuine and likeable NPCs in the whole game. Her and the Sheriff of Tumbleweed would have to be my favourites, for whole different reasons though, of course.
Oh, I saw that man. I didn't know he was a stalker. Didn't have time to find out. I may have snuck up behind him, hogtied him and roasted him on the fire, but let's not get into it.
I truly loved Charlotte, she’s one of those people who truly took her fate into her own hands. Stood up for herself and took control of her life despite the odds stacked against her.
If you go back to his camp at night there is actually a secret dialog that reveals the day of fishy’s birthday. And he will say “today is fishy’s birthday, happy birthday mate”
I never made the connection holy shit. I just shot him as soon as he said “watched her from the bushes” thanks for the video the amount of detail in this game is insane
This was one of my favorite side quests. It also shows a little picture of what Arthur's life could have been if his kid had survived or Mary had stayed with him and he'd been able to leave the gang. He's not a good man, he very much believes the ends justify the means if the end is keeping his family safe and is willing to witness or participate in some truly heinous things just on the promise that Dutch "has a plan". That said most of his acts come from a place of caring, of wanting to provide and using the only skills he knows how to do it. He does awful things but he does them to keep the gang together, fed, and safe, and to make his father figures proud. Charlotte is someone with nothing for Arthur to take in a very vulnerable position and we get to see the man he should have been if his life had taken a few different turns. It's a great little side quest but ultimately a very sad one.
I don't remember encountering this guy but I did get a home robbery tip a while back, even went to the house with ill intentions but couldn't get in. Oh how bad I felt when I got to know her towards the end.
This side quest is probably my favorite in the entire game just because of how you see Arthur become more and more sick while you see her become more and more self-sufficient. I don’t know how to explain it I just really liked them more than the others.
It’s such a shame they couldn’t have had an alternate ending for Arthur where he settles down with her, ending his story happily and still moving on to John... it’s actually pretty sad. There was definitely potential there.
I can't help but to think that in another life Arthur and Charlotte could have ended up spending the rest of their lives together. Alas it wasn't to be, but as I played the game and this part of the story it just felt like they were meant for each other.
I ran into that stalker character way before I ever knew about Charlotte and he just screamed creepy guy so I went ahead and took care of him. Never thought twice that Charlotte was his intended target.
I really like these types of videos. It gives context for people that have not had this encounter or people that are just interested in the game. Also has sources and referenced items in the description. Top notch!.
in my playthrough, after teaching her hunting, the cutscene ended before i could accompany her to her home, a black panther or cougar idk jumped on her and killed her before i could put enough bullets in the beast...i felt so sad that i taught her hunting but couldnt even save her so she can learn more and finish the mission...i didn't have a save point anywhere close to that encounter. so in sadness i closed the game for the day.
I played this whole game as a terrible person, a duel wielding outlaw who had zero moral code and was only redeemed by the small moments I had with the people I meet. Charlotte was the one who convinced me to get Arthur up to good honor before the end of the story. By the time I completed it I had the highest honor I could get and got (in my opinion) the best ending.

Even when teaching her how to shoot he as far to close.
Hey Fizhy, there’s also been talk of an Easter in Limpany at around 12 am midnight, sounds of something or someone grunting or howling can be heard just outside of the abandoned bar when standing on the outside porch. The serial killer prostitute in Valentine is also based on a character from Deadwood.
The voice is really similar as well
5:05 I love that attention to detail. Always keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction.
I don't think official rules of gun safety existed back then like they do now. It was Col Jeff Cooper that standardized our laws of gun safety and our tactical training.
3:32-There’s something endearing about how Arthur says, “Oh I don’t doubt it.”
The game has brilliant voice work
„Then you get invited into her house“
This sounds familiar

When Arthur ate the meal I was scared that it was like the inbred pig people 😬
I loved Charlotte and her evolution from a helpless widow to a healthy writer who can survive on her own
I'd encountered Charlotte before meeting the campfire stalker when playing this game a few years ago.
When I realized the stalker was referring to Charlotte and his dialogue reveals his intention to return and stalk her again and very likely do worse, I hog-tied him and dropped him in a nearby river to drown. On discovering his handcuffs and other 'weird' stuff in his tent, my Arthur had no trouble sleeping that night.
It’s still sad to think how Arthur saved lifes while dying..
(Ofcourse he took lifes but his intentions were not to harm people)

Your intentions were not to harm people. He is an object of your decisions
I wanted Arthur and her to live happily ever after :(
In be next life they probably will
I wanted Arthur and Sadie
@@doflash9210 they’re more like brother and sister
@@AhmedMohamed-zb8og Arthur and Sadie would have been kind of like a Bonnie and Clyde type deal, I think he would have had good chemistry with either of them.. Him and Sadie could have been a husband and wife bounty hunting team (or outlaws), but if Arthur wanted to retire to a quiet life away from all that ruckus, Charlotte would have been a better fit.
Woulda been better for him than Mary Linton
This game is so immense, I had beat it 93% and had barely scratched the surface. Incredible.
I’m at 100% and there’s still a lot to do. I haven’t even done the gunslingers or Hamish Sinclair’s missions. I’m sure there’s even more I’m still missing too.

Charlotte is my favorite side character in RDR2, she knew Arthur and John not as outlaws but just good hearted guys. Part of me likes to believe if Arthur hadn’t passed that they might have gotten together
Even though Arthur was sick. I thought during that second interaction with Charlotte that she spiked his meal with something. Similar to what the brother and sister do to you at that pig farm. All that loneliness in the woods drove her a bit loony.
@Jose Antonio Campuzano Cano I know that she didn't. I was just saying at first I thought she did.
TB is an illness. Can't get it from spiked food. I doubt after he helped her that she would do that.
"This is what a true samaritan looks like" 😂
In my play through she doesn’t die of starvation. I encountered her once as Arthur and then came back as John and she was doing pretty fine. She said any friend of Arthur’s is a friend of hers and I proceeded to finish her stranger missions as John.
West ones that
I didn't know she could die of starvation, is that the result if you dont complete all her missions as Arthur? I liked her a lot and made a point of looking for any new missions for her. I know rockstar have a certain cynical style but I could have done with a lot more missions like that. Going back as John to tell of his passing had me tearing up.
I never understood why he introduced himself in the next scene after she’d already addressed him in the letter as Arthur
most likely for a proper introduction.
Charlotte mustve read his journal and read his name.
When you first meet Charlotte, I thought she accidentally killed her husband because she said she was good at picking poisoned berries. I figured she fed some of them to her husband. Then I figured she lied to Arthur about him being attacked by a bear.
What if he’s responsible for her death and she didn’t starve...
Yeah I was going to say
I think if you don’t kill him he does go and kill her.
c3aloha i visited her as john and thought her how to shoot, she never invited me in and she isnt there anymore, she dead or ?
Jerry L its been quite a while tbh
Jerry L i canf find any side mission tbh
the story with charlotte was one of my favorite story lines.
Respect for Charlotte, Hamish, and Hosea. Two of which were Arthur’s good friends and one of which was like a real father. RIP 😭😭
... And nobody can forget LEENNAHY
Yennel!!!
You forgot Charles chatenay
That was the sweetest thing when Charlotte gave Arthur a kiss
A great dialogue for before you kill the stalker:
Arthur: Well, since you seem to fancy this lady so much, you know her name?
Man: No not really, but not yet tho, I will get to know her better soon.
Arthur (while glaring at him): Charlotte. Her name is Charlotte.
Man: What? How do you know that?
Kill him
Yeah I saved my game before I interacted with him just so I could enjoy killing him over and over. Idk why but I felt so protective over the girl for some reason.
Maybe your the stalker

I’m loving the red dead vids fizhy, thx for your time and effort
She honestly seems like one of the most genuine and likeable NPCs in the whole game. Her and the Sheriff of Tumbleweed would have to be my favourites, for whole different reasons though, of course.
Oh, I saw that man. I didn't know he was a stalker. Didn't have time to find out. I may have snuck up behind him, hogtied him and roasted him on the fire, but let's not get into it.
Good find fizhy. Its dope that we find lil bits and pieces after playing more and more of this awesome game.
There's actually so much shit in this game it's unreal😂
The second I realized he was talking about Charlotte, I blew his head off. Was surprised I lost honor for it.
7:17 seeing Arthur like this always break my heart
I truly loved Charlotte, she’s one of those people who truly took her fate into her own hands. Stood up for herself and took control of her life despite the odds stacked against her.
If you go back to his camp at night there is actually a secret dialog that reveals the day of fishy’s birthday. And he will say “today is fishy’s birthday, happy birthday mate”
As soon as he started getting freaky i lit him up with a pump action lol
Pump action is a beastly gun.
@@lsswappedcessna yeah esp with explosive slugs lol

Hamish and Charlotte were exactly the friends Arthur needed at the end of his life. The Nun told Arthur to be the best he could be and they helped him

Arthur*
That creep keeps respawning no matter what you do to him, and you always lose honor for taking out the trash.
Oh how bad I felt when I got to know her towards the end.

i almost died
I was a good Samaritan and took the negative honor as a badge of courage.
badge of honor*
wtf is a badge of courage lmao
Arthur is genuinely so wholesome
This side quest is probably my favorite in the entire game just because of how you see Arthur become more and more sick while you see her become more and more self-sufficient. I don’t know how to explain it I just really liked them more than the others.
It’s such a shame they couldn’t have had an alternate ending for Arthur where he settles down with her, ending his story happily and still moving on to John... it’s actually pretty sad. There was definitely potential there.
that's not what redemption is.
“Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, you feed him for a life time”
Kris.C one of my favorites
I can't help but to think that in another life Arthur and Charlotte could have ended up spending the rest of their lives together. Alas it wasn't to be, but as I played the game and this part of the story it just felt like they were meant for each other.
I swear I found that guy A LOT closer to her cabin in my first playthrough. And I was fine with the low honor spike you get for killing him.
Never visited with John. It's crazy seeing her suited up with a holster and appearing way more confident and an apt survivor.
This, The Veteran, Mary's, and Mrs Downes' missions should've all been main story missions, they all make the game much more interesting and impactful
The main story is the open world in my opinion
Charles: teaches arthur how to hunt
Arthur: teaches this chick how to hunt
I ran into that stalker character way before I ever knew about Charlotte and he just screamed creepy guy so I went ahead and took care of him. Never thought twice that Charlotte was his intended target.
I really like these types of videos. It gives context for people that have not had this encounter or people that are just interested in the game. Also has sources and referenced items in the description. Top notch!.
I like this filter you put on rdr2 vids, very immersive!! Also, pretty sad story and my personal favourite side quest!!
It was so sad when Arthur died. DAMN YOU MICAH!
I think Arthur would have died regardless of Micah.

@Rafay K0ng umm he had TB. So he was dieing.
@Ugh Rafay he told Arthur to get somewhere nice and Arthur joked about spending time in his country club in California as a sarcastic joke
in my playthrough, after teaching her hunting, the cutscene ended before i could accompany her to her home, a black panther or cougar idk jumped on her and killed her before i could put enough bullets in the beast...i felt so sad that i taught her hunting but couldnt even save her so she can learn more and finish the mission...i didn't have a save point anywhere close to that encounter. so in sadness i closed the game for the day.
Damn, that's messed up
This game is so realistic I didn't even know that was possible to happen
@@MasonicSeven7 It's only for this mission. If it happens in other side missions you'll fail it.
One of the most wholesome things in RDR2 is when you go to the people you knew as Arthur, but as John and you all reminisce on him
I was so happy when I went back with John and Charlotte was still alive.
Nah man. I’m pretty sure he’s Otis Miller
Maybe it's Gavin

"Suurre" lol
I am still convinced the bear really hurt him but she accidentally gave him berries.
coming back as john is really nice if you do all her missions, she’s older and is doing well for herself and it makes me happy
Arthur is so caring and considerate of even strangers 😭

Everyone: Arthur, you're a good man
Arthur: not I'm not
Everyone: john, you're a good man
John: well I try
Your music choice is pretty good. The way it slowly builds suspense.
In real life Arthur would have gotten other gang members sick. With how contagious you would have been at this point Charlotte would have also contacted tuberculosis, especially because she picked him up, obviously within a close proximity, and allowed him to rest in her bed... Even when teaching her how to shoot he as far to close.
Hey Fizhy, there’s also been talk of an Easter in Limpany at around 12 am midnight, sounds of something or someone grunting or howling can be heard just outside of the abandoned bar when standing on the outside porch. I went to test this myself and even I heard it. Yet i haven’t seen one youtuber talk about it. Definitely worth checking out! 👍
I love how in the cutscenes Arthur acts like an experienced hunter and shootist who knows his stuff, but when it cuts to the gameplay I'm just sitting here like, "hOw dO i hUnT"
hunt from horseback, and use deadeye every single time. you will never fail again. bunch of unimaginative fuckers out there.
Nah, just run around with your hors and dead eye those fuckers from a distance.
Charlotte: Bon appétit
Arthur: 👁👄👁
The composition of this video is actually phenomenal, unique, and out of the ordinary compared to most other videos I come across. This is inspiring since I also have many stories I plan to turn into movies and videos games and I plan to compose them. I also hope to compose a lot of other movies and become a well known composer. Any way, just wanted to congratulate you for the composition. Even if you didn’t write the music, you still added the best and most suitable music to every scene. Congrats again.
7:16 just now realicing that she probably knew not to get too close right away 'cause she is well educated and knows she could get infected. Thats an interesting detail!
This game plays very close atention to detail. At 5:06 she points the gun at herself and he gently pushes it off the way and when Arthur saw another man coughting and very sick he didn't know to be carefull with geting right in his face. This lady knows better 'cause she comes from an educated background, hence why she is not very shocked when she is later informed that Arthur died, she knew the disease
