I'm 5'3 in height with 28' inseam. Short even in terms of being Pinoy. This gs 850 was my first bike 😆. A few days of practice of slow speed meanuvers and I'm still slowly getting the hang of it, heck dropping it more than a few times, even broke the clutch lever. It was too tall for me and too heavy as a very beginner rider. But my friend suddenly wanted to have road trip and I couldn't say no, so we took it down the road and had a blast. Very comfortable until 80kph where there's more vibration and a little more wind, but still super manageable. The ride was awesome, like sitting on a couch and controls were responsive even on rain mode. My first road trip on a gs 850 and I've been overtaking so many cars for 2 hours and filtering against traffic easy. It was just hard for me during slow speed meanuvers and practicing tight U-turns. For those manier people who are taller than me, there's no excuse to not enjoy such a great bike. You guys can do it ❤️
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience 👌 I thought as a beginner rider I might not cope on the 850cc bike, thanks to you now I know it's doable 😊 P.S: I'm over 6.3ft.
Good review, enjoyed it. The only thing I would add, is that I find the 1200 easier to pick up than the 850, the opposing cylinders on the bigger brother keep the bike up by 20 degrees or so which gives you a head start with the lift, whilst the 850 lies flat. Thanks.
I have the 850gs sport which has quick shifter, cruise control, keyless ride, sat nav etc. I love the bike but it has one annoying feature with 'chain slap' every time you ride over bumpy terrain.
@@jsbandoma Hi Jun, I cannot recall the amount extra as I paid for a few upgrade packages which the above items came with sorry. Coincidently today I fitted a new taller screen made by Puig and I'm pleased with it as the original screen is far too short.
Good to know I'm not the only one that noticed the chain slap! I had actually tightened it a bit but after I brought it to the BMW dealership for a service they moved it back. Who am I to argue with the germans?
Great video. I have been looking at this bike but have been nervous, because I am also about your height. See you on it and your comments make me feel pretty good about getting it.
I started on Yamaha WR250r and the 850gs is my second bike. I feel it's not too much to handle as beginner. Especially if you're 6' or taller. Shorter riders may lose confidence due to seat height.
I hope you get to review the newest adventure scoot from Kymco the DTX360. I'm planning to buy one kaso yung mga video review nya usually sa Europe at walang pinoy, may isa dun sa Chef kaso di naman yung full review sa kanya.
"I love the 1250gs" weh? what happened to your stament before you said 1250gs is "ugly and excessive" Identity crisis ka paps in all levels or should we say poser?

Good review. Love my 850gs, especially since buying Sergent seat. Much more comfortable than stock.

Sir, if you can put the link for the gears that you used on this vid, it will be greatly appreciated! :)
From india?
Gear*
Yes please
I am no interest in off road but do you think its well suited for road only riding , long tours?
No, it's harder to pick up. The boxer doesn't lean as far, and has lower CoG.
Very Nice review. what about a comparison between this f850gs and the previeous generation of the 1200 gs LC ?
Good video mate!!🔥
Thumbs up and much support from my side!
Thank You, Great Review.
I have 2021 GS 750 40th anniversary
Very good bike im 5.5 850 was too high for me
These new GS model are perfect 👍
Which would you prefer ? Tiger 900 gt or f850gs...
Thanks for the video, it's great!
Would you recommend this bike as first bike for someone who hasn't much driving experience?
Being an owner of this bike, no it is not recommended for newbies. Start on a smaller lighter bike

Maybe you can review the Versys 1000 SE :)
big rock moto liked the africa twin 2022 a bit better than the r1250gs. how about making your own comparo for those two?
pls review 750gs as well
I'm 156cm..5'6 i guest.. i love this bike. Am currently riding a Honda cb400X
PS: i prefer budget & comfy rides😊
Your fit matches perfectly with this bike :D
Damn.. the price was a surprise for a BMW MC!

Please review the Honda X Adv 750.
Thank you!
Love this one, would like to ask too if you can review the 1250GS? :)
he did already and he find that 1250gs is ugly and excessive.
Love this bike ... Will not able aford in my life time
Present Sir 🙋
Great video, do you think it has more power than the 750gs thst has the same engine?
Yazilim sayesinde yapiyor yoksa ayni motor
Bmw Gs is good quality also?
I like the rap at the end of the spiel. 👍🏼

Really? Dahil 850 - budget ang concern?
4:24 there's no way 1250 GS is close to 150kg. My 150cc bike is 130kg. Poor review
He said 250kg, no?
Next time, Kymco AK 550 naman
Walang stocks :(
the chain is wolbbling ! its not tight !
I am also 5.6 😢 I know the pain brother
Among the BMW adventures bike, the big boy GS 12**cc looks and ride the best.
The lower CC looks ugly
Gotta love when people simp for slave labor. Not one of you moto-vlogger/news channels condemns it.
[ Like ] ...a lot.
Yeah just a little bit🤣
F750 and F850 are made in china 😫😫😫😫😫😫
With BMW German quality control I'd say right? What is bad about that? Lot of premium stuff is built on China...
Next time tagalugin muna lang sir hayaan muna ung ibang banyaga n nanonood..
