I was in LOVE with this unit for 4 months waiting till it became available. Then I found out that the bluetooth was for connecting to the tuning and display device aka tablet. I let this one thing make me so upset, that I erased the DSR1 from my memory. lol.
Then, by chance, I just saw this video for the first time and....omg! The spark is back!
The display is awesome and easy to physically read. Love the colors as well. The ease of use and flow looks very smooth. Each step, makes sense. Has a purpose.
I believe I'm gonna have to give this unit a shot in my truck since it's going to be a Rockford throw back old school install but with some present technology to enhance the sound quality of the classic gear.

If you use the idatalink maestro t-harness for Ford systems, get ready for a lot of firmware updates to correct many problems. And yes I own the DSR1.

Hi guys from a wet and windy Scotland, I live on a small island so I have to do all the work myself, I have just fitted a kenwood Dmx 7017 dabs into my 96 Mitsubishi Pajero, although it's an old car it's in really good condition, the radio sounds ok but the other music sounds flat so new speakers is my next step , do you know what sizes I need before I rip all the trim out , an amplifier maybe for the future but fitting one seems a bit daunting. I love your vids keep up the good work.

God I know this is an old question but speakers are not your answer. There's a formula to this and speakers are just PART of the equation.
You have to start with a good source unit that send the information aka music to the amplifiers (whether inside the source unit or externally, there's an amp boosting the signal carrying the music). Without it, you can spend $$$ on the best speakers and only hear crap, reallllllly well.....and there's nothing worse!
So, depending what system you have in whatever vehicle you have, this DSR1 can possible fix a lot for you and your factory system.
You should do a Rockford Fosgate 3.sixty.3 install. Would love that.
With 6 speaker alpine system
The settings are the same but somewhat different with the new firmware it'd be nice if you guys can make an updated video

Any body can probably tell me why I can't get it to connect to my android s9 nor my i phone??
Simply push the bluetooth icon to pair? I do not see my DSR1 in the list. Location services turned on for Perfecttune. Not sure how to get the DSR1 in pairing mode. Can we just use the USB plug into our Android device? It seems that would be more reliable if it works.

Hi guys, any chance you could show how to wire the DSR1, with aftermarket radio and 2 amps? The DSR1 will be installed far from the radio. So do I connect the 12v Yellow from the 4Gage power cable with a 5A fuse? Do I remove the remote wire from my amps and just use 1 that goes from DSR1 to 1 amp? The diagrams shows how to set that up with 1 Amp. And no where does it show the 12v. Please help! Thank you,
Hi there... So... Can you put different xover points for each of the 6 different channels?
What can be done about the static? I have a DSR1 in a Ford Mustang and I have to have my amplifier gains all the way down and the DSR1 Master Level half way at -30 dB to completely remove the static. When I bypass three DSR1 with my Audio Control LC7i there's no static at all so I know it's the cause. Have you guys experienced this and do you have any advise on the settings to resolve this?
Is this a set-it-and-forget-it deal? Or do I always have to have this app? I can imagine in 10 years this app is incompatible or something and it becomes a problem
I have a 2018 F150 XL work truck, small screen, no touch, very basic but has an aux jack. Is this device a good choice to use in place of the factory system? I can't remove the screen, I need something I can hide so I can have good sound without changing out the head unit. This seems to be what I need with the Bluetooth dongle and volume knob, set the knob to control system volume and completely bypass the factory system( I have an aftermarket amp I can use). However, I need to retain the backup camera, not sure how I do this? Any suggestions or should i chose something else? Thanks, love the show and videos guys.

Are the changes on the app happening in real time so you can use an RTA to properly equalize the system or you make the changes and then have to upload them???
Wait? Can't this DSR1 also be ran in full range to use other DSP's that offer more channels etc?
Do you lose any sound quality due to the thin wire included with the dsr1? Also if you are using components with the dsr1 do you omit the component crossover and control the signal to the tweeter and mid range woofer with the dsr1?
Hi guys! My car is a Peugeot 208 (year 2017). I´m in the process to upgrade my audio system. I got a Pioneer gm-d9605 amplifier , kicker css65 6.5" component speakers (front doors) and JL Audio 10WX-4 subwoofer; I´m looking for mid-bass speakers for rear doors. Now, because I want to mantain the OEM unit, I´m looking for a sound processor; can drs1 be a good option for me? Thank you guys!

Hello there. Is there any way to do specific input channel routing? can't find it anywhere. per say, Channel one input routed to ch 2 and 3 only, channel two to input to output 3 + 4 only. etc. Thanks for great videos, information, and relaxed atmosphere.
Not with this device, you only have presets to choose from.

The only output channel configuration utilizing all 8 outputs is the 1 with the tweeter, midrange, midbass, and subs. I wanted to do an install with a dsr1 rather than a dm 608/810. The problem is that i wanted to do tweeter, midbass, then the next 4 channels would be sub. Could i simply use the crossovers to make any channel what i need them to be? Or does the designation have some type of bearing on the signal produced? Would the time alignment be the same also, maybe just the adjustment of both a left and right if it was to be used as sub?

It would work fine in any 8 channel mode. The labels for output would be the only thing wrong. The crossover and time correction would work fine. Why not get sub amps that have a master slave input and output?
@@FiveStarCarStereoInc i have 2 pdx v9 already, and i didnt want to use y adapters. I love the audiocontrol dm products for the rta, but you cant beat the value of the dsr1. The videos of yall putting an epicenter and accubass on a rta to see the change in sound made me really appreciate how an rta works. I cant justify spending 500+ on a product i may rarely use(i bought a dd1 when it was 500 though and would again)
Hey quick question i have a 07 Ford Expedition and i want to replace the baffle that comes stock that fits the stock speaker to a baffle that will hold a 6x9 do you guys know what website I could get that off of or what store in west palm beach Fl might carry it?
