    Great Video! Can you set the sub channels to "All pass" ? I need 8 channels and not necessarily sub channel.

    I have a 2018 mustang convertible 9 speaker setup no Subwoofer factory amp. I have the dsr1+wiring harness, I'm replacing the factory amp will I have all my factory speaker working with this device?

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will need a amplifier or amplifiers that’s got enough channels to amplify all the speakers. The DSR1 is only a DSP(digital signal processor) it is not a amplifier. it will only process and spit out a signal to the aftermarket amplifiers that provide sound to your speakers.

    That's for the vid. Very helpful.

    Great video! So if the DSR1 doesn't have a true sub input, does it sum the sub signal from the front or rear inputs? Thanks

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, the DSR-1 only has front, rear, aux, and spdif inputs so yes the sub channels output is created inside of the processor.

    Could you use this with an aftermarket unit? I plan on using this for my 2013 Chrysler 300 with the 8.4 uconnect system, but later on, using the Metra dash kit and installing a Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX.

      Dark Knight id use both depending on the model Ford your using. If it’s a Sony equipped F-150 for example I’d use the amp pro to get a flat 5v out signal and then go into the DSR-1 to handle all the crossover points, EQ, slope, time alignment, and signal matching then go to my amplifiers

    Hello there. Is there any way to do specific input channel routing? can't find it anywhere. per say, Channel one input routed to ch 2 and 3 only, channel two to input to output 3 + 4 only. etc. Thanks

    I need some guidance. I have a 2020 Ram 1500, 12 inch screen, Alpine Premium Audio System 10 speakers (three instrument panel speakers, two front door speakers, two rear door speakers, two headliner speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer located behind the passenger-side rear seat). The interior is setup for 19 speakers. Keeping the radio is a must. Where do I begin with the upgrade?

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dashaun Huston I’d look to see if pac makes a aamp pro module for that particular model ram then go from the aamp pro module to a dsp like the dsr1 or others (helix, JL twek, Audison etc) then to your aftermarket amplifiers.

    • @dhuston521
      @dhuston521 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Markland Designs Of Atlanta what about upgrading the factory speakers and adding the other 9? What are your thoughts on that? Or would suggest 1 mod at a time and if I need more then do more?

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dashaun Huston is definitely recommended changing and replacing the speaker at the same time your added a dsp and amplifiers. The factory speakers will definitely be the weak link in the system at that point.

    • @dhuston521
      @dhuston521 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Markland Designs Of Atlanta This is what is going through my mind: 1. Replace the existing 9 speakers and add the missing 9. If that doesn’t satisfy me, go to step 2.
      2. Add a DSP like DSR1. If that doesn’t satisfy me, go to step 3.
      3. Replace the AMP. If that doesn’t satisfy me go to step 4.
      4. Add subwoofer.
      I believe in incremental improvements, so forgive me. What are your thoughts?

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dashaun Huston that’s not a bad step to take. Just know that a lot of aftermarket speakers take more power then the factory speakers so the overall volume level might not be as high as the factory speakers but clarity and detail will definitely be improved over factory.

    Do you know if there is an input gain. I am considering using this in my vehicle using a 5 channel amplifier and an aftermarket Pioneer 2330nex and the output voltage of the RCA is 4v. Just want to find out if there is a way to make sure. Thanks.

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Derrick Hamilton it doesn’t have input gain but it does have output for each individual channel going out of the unit. But at 4v going out from your pioneer in most cases that more the Sufficient.

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta

    Using the dsr1 off factory radio it should be on hi level? For the switch

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the particulars cars audio system. Some premium sounds systems use (low level) signal and some use speaker level (hi-level) if your not sure if look on the idatalink website and see if they sell a vehicle specific T harness for your application.

    Is there a way to use 6ch input (front LR rear LR sub LR) i got an after market radio i still want to use my sub output

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      keron jeremiah it only allows 4 channels of input. You can run front and rear in and use your radios subwoofer out and internal crossover to control the sub but that’s about it. Unless they come out with a software update that allows the aux input to be used as a 5th and 6th channel input

  • @ronchampagne8484
    @ronchampagne8484 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not enough channels for some systems . Imagine 3 way components up front l/r . Add 2 way components in back l/r
    Now add subwoofer channel .
    You need at least 11 channels to do this to have a full active crossover system . Vital as far as I'm concerned when you've got component midrange and tweeters all over the place instead of nice and neat right next to each other .
    Is it possible to have two of these ?
    12 channel dsp are hard to find from any mfg .

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could do 2 of these but for the price point of the DSR1 you aren’t t going to find any DSP with that many channels. A all in one option would be something like the Helix V-Twelve DSP amplifier combo.

    i would recomend against buying this its just a headache of a unit to work with the app is a pain, you can only ajust it with your phone or tablet you cant use a laptop which means you rely on the bluetooth and its laggy you make an ajustment and you cant tell if it made a difference because of how slow it is and it just acts like it has a mind of its own

    • @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta
      @MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve installed quit a few with no issues, it’s real time adjustments. I’m sorry you have had a bad experience with the DSR1. Besides the Bluetooth being it’s way of connectivity what issues did you actually have? For the price point it gives you a ton of options and when tested on my RTA all of the adjustments were quick and accurate.

    • @psyfertech

      @@MarklandDesignsOfAtlanta the main issue im having is it just seems laggy when i make an ajustment on the basic eq sometimes i will hear it do it instantly then sometimes it wont do anything and then a few seconds later finally ill hear it change guess its possible im not close enough to the unit but its just behind my rear seats in my truck so idk thats really the main issue im having how can i tune it when i cant hear the ajustments im making also have a question about presets that parts a little confusing do you create a preset then go do your ajustments and then synch it to save it?
      thanks for your time theres really not much info on these
