The glow sticks in the live well is genius I also thought about putting glow sticks in your cooler at night when camping great video keep up the good work
Big Northern Pike will roll and open the curtain hooks. They open the standard metal stringer loops. We had to get rope stringers with the loops on tubes that the ropes went through and metal stringers with swivel connections to the chain. Speaking from experience, if you know what I mean...you know what I mean.
I have used those old stringers to retrieve rods kicked off the boat open all the keepers put a weight on one end a rope on the other and start dragging it's worked for me good video keep them coming thanks
Just subscribed to your channel. All yo stuff is awesome . Just saying.. keep all them hacks coming down here to south Alabama. Keep on being you. GOD bless
Hey, got a tip for the saltwater folks who watch your channel. You can keep your shrimp overnight without losing them by placing a frozen bottle of water (frozen solid) or two (number depends on the temp where you're storing the shrimp.) in your bubbler and run it all night. The shrimp will go dormant and wake back up when the water gets warm again and they won't die.
Something simple with glow sticks. If your trip is cut short suddenly you can place your glow sticks on ice until you are home then in the freezer. They will freeze and still glow when thawed.
We love your channel, so much worthwhile information. It really makes your channel worth our time. Cheers from Iron Rock Nova Scotia Canada. and all the best to you and yours!
I actually used your grommet idea and made a homemade Shimbumi shade out of a 20' retractable tent pole, grommets, and a 92" beach blanket, for under $86. Shimbumi shades are $300. I used some fabric glue too to back it up be even still, a fraction of the cost!
I use those 6" glow sticks for a bobber when I use cut bait night fishing. I also make fishing lights with the smaller ones. Just put 5 or 6 in a 20oz coke bottle and fill it with water. Tie a string on and toss it in the water.
Great video, Keith. Glad to see ya using subscriber hacks. You'll get out a lot more stuff, and you won't be overworking yer noggin all the time. God bless ya'll and be sure and stay safe on your travels.
Great video... but that heat gun hand warmer idea sounds like a great way to start a boat fire... 😞 I'll stick with a couple of those Hot Hand packets.
Thanks for showing my idea, Keith. I use those shower hooks for squirrel hunting. It won't work as well with bigger fish unless you pop it through the jaw.
I use the glow sticks on my trot-lines. They attract baitfish to hang around the trot-line to bring in the catfish. I put 3 lights spaced out evenly on a 25 hook line.
I got that same brand heat gun but for Milwaukee and I absolutely love it!!! Been using it for about a year now. I got it to pair with my Milwaukee m12 cordless soldering iron for heat shrink and also for removing emblems/decals on cars. It works great for both!
Thanks for what you do! A DeWalt cordless heat gun has been on my list for a while but I didn't want to pay that much for one either especially since I don't I wouldn't use it that often. Didn't realize they had aftermarket ones that use the same batteries so I will be ordering one tonight!
My favorite glow stick hack is placing them in the freezer when you're done. Next time you go fishing, pull them out and re-crack them. I've got one that was in my freezer for over 2 years before I took it out the second time. It still had a lot of life left in it when I was done fishing, so it's in my freezer again now.
Only downside with the cordless heat gun is how fast the use up batteries! I’ve hot the Dewalt and with brand new 5Ah batteries freshly charged it kills a battery in less than 3min, plus it gets the battery crazy hot from the rapid discharge. I’m not sure if other brands/models are better on battery life but imo the cordless heat guns outright suck for the money/usefulness.
Another great video. One of the best things you do is give credit to other people for some of your ideas. Well done!! Love to put a couple of your channel stickers on my kayak. When you get a chance please tell me how to get your merchandise. I've shared your channel with a bunch of my fishing buddies. Always great content and fun to watch. I'm sure some of them have subscribed 🍻🇨🇦
another cool glow stick hack is putting white light glow sticks in a white milk jug for a bank light the isn't overly bright. If you need it brighter or dimmer just add or take out a glow stick.
Just thought of a heat shrink idea. If you ever cut cane down to use for crappie fishing then you could larger heat shrink to make a handle . I don’t know if they make the rubber tubing that large but just a idea. This might give you more ideas for more content.
