I have used pool noodles to make make boot stands, for my wife's fancy leather boots. It keeps them standing up straight, in her closet. They don't bend over and get the leather all messed up. It'll work the same for mens fishing / huntingboots. And would even allow for airing out fishing waders.
Just cut a few long pieces, and slide them in the boots. You may need to duct tape them together, for rigidity.

I personally use pool noodles to protect my rods when in the back of the truck, just like you but secure with velcro strips you use to tie up extension cords.
    Awesome video!

A lot can be done with the noodles. I use them along with the 3/4" PVC and make slip floats for my 1oz and 2oz striper rigs for the river. Keep the videos coming Keith, I always look forward to your take on "how to" and DIY.

Keith, Your fishing hacks just keep getting better and more informative with each posting.
I think a few pool noodle scraps might be just the thing to threaten that corny spinner bait with a floating muzzle!!! Actually he's a great addition to your zanny presentations.
Loved the heat gun applications you taught...terrific info!

I use noodles to hold Sabiki hooks. Place weight in the middle, wrap and hook the line so when you aren't done with the rig, do this. The next time just hook to pole and unwrap to go fishing again. Simple while cheap holder.

If you use a GoPro camera fishing (or whatever camera?), you can add a pool noodle to the pole mount. Incase it gets knocked off, or dropped in the water, it won't sink to the bottom.... Like a rock!

Hey man. I don’t watch TV at all but I watch TH-cam a lot. Most videos that I watch are about crime or politics. Then I see your videos and it’s like a refreshing reprieve. Every time I watch one of your videos I get all fired up about fishing and camping. You are a funny guy. I would love to go fishing with you. I have some great homemade boat modifications that I think you would love. The problem is, I don’t know how to do short videos to show you or how to send them to you. Old men like me aren’t very tech savvy. Give me a welder and some tools and I can do some really cool stuff but promoting it, I’d have to hire a young person. 😂

Here is a combo (pvc pipe and pool noodle) place pool noodle over piece of pvc, drill screws down thru noodle into pvc. When you pre-make leaders for quick recovery, put loop end around screw head, wrap line around noodle, set hook into noodle until needed. Keep line from tangling and easily accessible.

The marker buoy one will keep unrolling in the wind and/or waves. What I did was cut out a pocket inside the noodle, between the noodle and the pvc and put a weight in it. All of the round marker buoys are weighted so they don’t keep unrolling.

On the marker buoy, put a little weight between the pipe and noodle on the same side of each noodle. That will cause it to stoop spinning once it bottoms out, and not unravel the whole line. I’ve made some of these and they work great, I have a few sets in my boat right now.

Fishing nets r expensive and rarely float. I have attached two 4 to 6" lengths of pool noodle (with a slit cut lenth wise) to the net ring right where the pole meets the ring, on either side of the pole connection. I used zip ties to hold the pool noodle together and in place. It doesn't interfere with getting the fish in the net and will keep the floating when it flys off of boat when going mach2

Pool hack #18 - this s really for those who scallop but will work for other purposes. Get a small noodle and bend it around to make a circle. Glue it in place. Take a mesh laundry bag, put the noodle in and arrange the mesh bag so that the noodle is in the top with enough space to draw the mesh bag tight over the noodle ring with the rest of the bag is hanging down- like a garbage bag in a garbage can. I use zip ties to secure the net to the noodle. What you now have is a floating mesh bag that you can drop scallops, minnows, chum or whatever else you might want. Tie a rope to it to attach to your boat and let it float. The draw string closes the bag so fish don't jump out.
