He also DID NOT DRINK AND DRIVE, since the car was in park for all the time he was inside. The car did not go even a centimeter forward. But I'm not American, here in Eastern Europe it is not illegal to just sit in your car while drunk, or to drink in the car while not driving.
So if it's the same in the US, the cops didn't have the right to arrest the guy for DUI, nor did they have the right to search the car. I mean, they didn't have the right to begin with. Did the guy say that the marijuana he smoked was in the car? No. Was he the owner of this car? Also no. I mean, I can't see the reasonable suspicion here.

She was the dumbest of them all. Like there was an accident, but the police told her just comply and you will be on the way. She just needed to give them the documents they file the report and she goes home, hell even later if she got printed and followed the procedure as she was told she would be released instead she went for the worst options.
The officers were even nice to her. They didnt have to get her info and let her go. She commited a hit and run. If the officer wanted to arrest her on the spot, he had every right. Yet he was trying to be friendly, but that woman just wouldnt have it. People like that shouldnt be allowed total freedom. She was driving on a suspended licence. The video never explained why her license was suspended but its not hard to make safe assumptions as to why. Noway after everything that transpired, her driving with suspended license was just a misdemeanor. She should be getting some good jail time and a lifetime ban from driving.

What’s so crazy to me about the first video is just how smoothly everything was going until Kara showed up. The guy was super cooperative, admitted to his wrong doing, didn’t resist or even show a hint of disrespect. There was ZERO reason for her to go off like she did! I’m totally flabbergasted
Kara’s insane behavior almost makes me think he deserved to be let go. Like, man, what you were doing was wrong, but after meeting your girlfriend, I get it.
It sort of makes sense though, she comes out and the cops are searching her stuff without a warrant or permission and she obviously had something in it. It’s the dudes fault for sure but the cops were obviously trying to pin the marijuana on her by making her pin it on herself.

They know they're on camera, and any outburst will be recorded, potentially used against them, and the perp will get off. It's in their best interest to be as calm as possible. Usually when a cop gets in trouble is when they don't control their emotions and actions and the footage is used against them both in the public eye and private.

There needs to be a new law, at least a citation, for verbal abuse of a law enforcement officer. It's ridiculous to have to put up with this.
In a lot of countries, there are such laws. But not in the good ol' "Free Speech" USA, unfortunately.
We have free speech in South Africa as long as it causes no severe insult to someone, if they do, like for instance a racial slur, they can be charged with crimen injuria.

Honestly, the police are some of the most patient people in the world. I do not have that gene.
Especially that officer with that first girl. Like, she’s being told her boyfriend was passed out drunk in the driver seat, with hot foot down on the gas, an insermountable amount of bad things could have happened, and all she cared for was her car being inspected.
I believe the reason for being patient is not only for their and the public's safety, but I believe it is also to avoid lawsuits even if they did everything by the book.

This footage needs to be shown in court and people fined/jailed for ahole behavior. People shouldn't have to put up with this shit in the course of their job, whether they're a cop or sales staff. About the first woman, even if marijuana was completely legalized to possess, it would still be illegal to smoke and drive, just like alcohol is legal but you can’t drink and drive
It's more than that, I've looked into states that have legalized it. They have rules like it must always be transported in the original container the dispensary gave it to you in. It cannot be in a baggie, it can't have been opened. It has to be sealed, in the original container to have it in a car.
They got all kinds of lil rules like that.

Oh. My. Gosh. Each of those cops must have unlimited patience to so calmly deal with this type of ridiculousness. As a teacher of 21 years, I'm very patient and have dealt with many, many kids who have major issues with behavior. But these ladies just about pushed me over the edge!
Do not argue with police officers. You are legally obligated to comply with their lawful instructions. If you are placed under arrest you do not need to discuss anything with the arresting officer. They need to read you your rights when you are placed under arrest. Just tell them you need to speak to your lawyer. Exercise your right to remain silent. Under no circumstances should you physically resist a police officer. This will only make the situation much worse.
The officer in the hit and run was like “it’s just a misdemeanour, I can’t lie to you on camera” and then her charges coming up as felonies had me 💀
There should be Mandatory civics and proper police interaction training for Anyone requesting a driver's license. People are getting out of control with their disrespect for the law and our law enforcement professionals.
