- Our COTW is the Minolta Hi-Matic 7s, a very fine rangefinder that I use a lot. I like it for both the quality of the lens as well as the accuracy of the meter. It can be used in both metered manual and program automatic, and although not a small camera, it feels great in my hands. I've put quite a few rolls thought mine. I bought this camera back in 2013 “as is” didn’t know anything about it just that it was a great price. I took some great photos with it and just put some batteries in it and turns out the light meter works! Thanks for the info I really needed it!

Great presentation! Clear/concise with key points well covered. Very helpful since have 7s en route fm Amazon. Already have smaller 7SII for comparison. Should be interesting. Finally, what battery do you use on 7s? Thanks.
Is it possible to put either one of the two rings in automatic mode so you only have to worry about or aperture or shutterspeed?

Hi! I have the minolta 7s 2 & recently developed my film and most of the photos turned out blurry.Do u know why this happened? I dont really know how to use this camera actually since its my late dad’s :( & how do i use the focusing lever?
