  • I picked up a Minolta HI-MATIC 7SII on an impulse buy. This unassuming point and shoot camera with its lack lustre view finder gave some surprising results.

I love this camera! I bought one years ago used for 20 dollars off Craigslist lol

Sounds like you got a way better deal than I did when you bought this camera! I agree this is a fantastic camera. Plus, it’s size makes it easy to take along for just about anything.

The price is only going to get higher. Keep it. I would dare say it has the best lens out of all my fixed rfs

Would you believe I sold a Black 7sII in box for $600 about 4 yrs ago? I had two, a silver in box but decided to sell the Black. Also, just a kind recommendation, grab the camera with one hand, and use both thumb & index finder to firmly grip the rewind lever and you turn. Pressing down with just your thumb puts too much pressure on the tiny pin that holds the rewind lever in place.

I certainly would believe it! I’ve seen some of the prices online. I got mine for about $189 at the my local Camera shop which fell perfectly within my $200 limit for buying used film cameras. Noted on the advice. It was a bit chilly out that day and my weren’t cooperating, lol.
