This game is really bringing the Xbox fanboys out of the woodwork. It's pretty childish to say a game is garbage just because you can't play it. In reality you guys are just jealous because Xbox doesn't even have exclusives anymore. I play on PC and I'll only get this game if the PC version has less pop-in and an FOV slider. This game has limitless potential with mods as well.

Like NMS I suspected I'd enjoy it somewhat but not believe its worth anywhere near 60 and I was right. Had I bought that game it would have been a letdown due to the fact that it was good but not worth that full price I reserve for games I know I'll get more enjoyment out of. Oh man, the pinning thing for upgrades is HUGE, I completely missed that feature. Thanks for that! BTW, when you're mining, you don't have to wait for the temperature bar to drop - as soon as you stop firing you can start again and the bar will restart from 0% Also, when you're about to switch to a new ship or multi-tool, make sure to disassemble all upgrades/components beforehand. Since you can't transfer upgrades from one ship/tool to another, you might as well get half of their material cost back to help with upgrading the new one.
+Robin Hood it's possible it'll turn up in CEX or second hand in game stop in a few months from people who didn't like it. I wouldn't be completely surprised if I see it there.

I have a trick, with the multitool. You have that overheating bar on he top right if you fire the mining lazer, once it turns red release the trigger and fire it immediately. The bar will go to 0 and you will save alot of time mining.
In short, use multitool, mine, if the bar on the right upper bart gets red, release trigger for a split second and heat goes away. If the bar turns red repeat this

The developers said that this game was multiplayer but the chances of finding each other were slim, has anyone noticed that you haven't seen your own character at all? The only thing you see is the gun but you don't even see a hand, a shadow when walking, or legs when looking directly down which leads me to believe that there isn't actually multiplayer and that they didn't even design an actual character. Correct me if I'm wrong though because this is only from what I've seen I don't have the game.
It probably isn't an mmo like people want it to be, for example you can pause the game which would kinda negate finding, killing, and looting another player like it was said you could do a one point, but the discussion of whether or not it is there will be solved pretty quickly when the pc version is data mined.
What are you doing in those menus after you collect all that animal shit because it sure seems like crafting and building to me so in a way you are right you're not building towers and castles it's just more of a survival game with a fancy coat of paint but I guarantee you'll try to comeback with something resembling an argument to defend your purchase

It's actually seriously pretty good for what 10 people could've done. Hey, if it's not your type of game, why read in to the hype train in the first place? _Lots of people got on the wrong train._ Don't be a dick about it.
Another good thing to note is you should install upgrades to your multi-tool and the like in slots right next to it's base in your inventory. You'll get a color border around the upgrades and their base when done correctly. For example install all your mining beam upgrades next to your actual mining beam in the inventory. It makes the upgrades link up and be more useful.

Honestly I don't know why people are getting so disappointed for anything other than how Multiplayer was portrayed in the trailers. They outright stated this game was going to be Space Exploration and they even tried to warn people that wouldn't like it off by stating that "90% of planets are going to be boring and uninteresting and of those 10% of planets, 90% of them are going to have boring and uninteresting wildlife" or other things among those words.

You shouldnt expect top notch graphics in a game that has 180 quintillion planets and no loading screens. If it did have amazing graphics, you'd have a long ass loading screen everytime you visit a planet. I do wish for FOV sliders though, maybe on the PC version when it comes out.

Another thing about upgrades: make sure similar upgrades are touching in your menu. You get an adjacency bonus for grouping your upgrades together, represented by a colored highlight around the two or more upgrades. The color corresponds to the circular charts to the right of your inventory, which should gain a a little extra length represented in a slightly different color.

Awesome video! I'd add that when grouping upgrades that work on the same devise or function (ie mining laser upgrades as opposed to grenade as opposed to scanner etc.) you get a bonus! Unsure if it's really worth it but when ship shopping it can easily come into play. I'd been playing since release (NA release, sorry :/) and I didn't even know half of these xD
On a funny note I was 'jet pack velocitying' or w/e today and apparantly I was going so fast that when I slammed into a rock it hurt me! Not cool not cool at all :\ gotta learn how to land that. gravity (even imaginary gravity that SHOULD NOT exist in some cases... then again it should be WAY worse in others so who am I to complain...) bites.
If anyone new that's playing and you're planning on buying a ship, well you can also find crashed ship that have upgrade and more slots, but you do have to do a bit fixing which are easy fix
The only thing I didn't know about nms was #1. It took awhile to figure the game out but that's what was really fun about it. Now I can glide quickly across those planets! The game lacks certain things but its still really fun!
You can find plutonium everywhere and also carbon is used to recharge life support and mining beam. Only launch thrusters and certain crafting recepies are specified for plutonium so just go get it when needed and keep your inventory slots open for more rare elements or trading items.
Hey, I would like to add, that you cannot only by an Star Ship, but also find one raked on the planet, if you explore the planet you can sometimes find an shelter with a distress message received, after words if you unlock the message you can find where the ship crashed and after repairing it take it!
quickest way to get access to inventory slots is to find an orange beacon and select the "Shelter" option. it drops the suit mod every time. you can do it multiple times from the same beacon.
Just a tip. When you get to a planet that doesn't seem to have a lot of stuff on it, it will typically have a lot of exosuit upgrades. My inventory space is at 48. It does add up on the cost though.
I already have 40 exosuit inventory slots, double my ships current inventory slots. It helps a shit ton. I recommend to use the signal receivers that require one bypass chip and hit shelter. Just beware that once you hit it a certain number of times it will point you back to the ones that you have already visited. However, to get 40 I pretty much spent close to 2mil units for those upgrades.
You can find new drop pods on planets if you search for shelter at the red signals that have a red beam go into the sky. Just search several times until you don't find new ones at that beam. You can get out of caves with grenades or just dig down to find caves that you can't find an entrance to. Gold and Emeril form big shiny rocks on the surface of planets. Iridium makes arcs that are some meters high. Some planets have copper rocks floating in the air or gold pylons.

Once you have the recipe, iron can be used for shield shards that can be used to top off your environmental shields. Heridium is also one part of the materials you need to build warp cores from scratch.
I've found the easiest way to getting a new ship is when you go to those sites with the machine that needs a Bypass Chip is to hit "Transmission" a couple of times, eventually you'll get one that takes you to a site where you need to solve a math puzzle and it'll lead you to a crashed ship that's usually +/- 2 storage slots of your current ship.

2 different types of upgrades dude, one is a space upgrade (worth it) the other is a "tool kinda upgrade" pay attention to the context dude

judging by reviews, I'll hold off on this game until it's a bit cheaper before trying it out . also the future base building sounds awesome!

The developers said that this game was multiplayer but the chances of finding each other were slim, has anyone noticed that you haven't seen your own character at all? The only thing you see is the gun but you don't even see a hand, a shadow when walking, or legs when looking directly down which leads me to believe that there isn't actually multiplayer and that they didn't even design an actual character. Correct me if I'm wrong though because this is only from what I've seen I don't have the game.

It probably isn't an mmo like people want it to be, for example you can pause the game which would kinda negate finding, killing, and looting another player like it was said you could do a one point, but the discussion of whether or not it is there will be solved pretty quickly when the pc version is data mined.

There are more than 10 people in the "we went gold" photo on twitter. But yeah...point is it was a small team.
Another good thing to note is you should install upgrades to your multi-tool and the like in slots right next to it's base in your inventory. You'll get a color border around the upgrades and their base when done correctly. For example install all your mining beam upgrades next to your actual mining beam in the inventory. It makes the upgrades link up and be more useful.

Honestly I don't know why people are getting so disappointed for anything other than how Multiplayer was portrayed in the trailers. They outright stated this game was going to be Space Exploration and they even tried to warn people that wouldn't like it off by stating that "90% of planets are going to be boring and uninteresting and of those 10% of planets, 90% of them are going to have boring and uninteresting wildlife" or other things among those words.

You shouldnt expect top notch graphics in a game that has 180 quintillion planets and no loading screens. If it did have amazing graphics, you'd have a long ass loading screen everytime you visit a planet. I do wish for FOV sliders though, maybe on the PC version when it comes out.

Another thing about upgrades: make sure similar upgrades are touching in your menu. You get an adjacency bonus for grouping your upgrades together, represented by a colored highlight around the two or more upgrades. The color corresponds to the circular charts to the right of your inventory, which should gain a a little extra length represented in a slightly different color.

Now the tv advert for this had me confused as i was thinking it reminded me of what a updated spore game would like it doesnt talk about the depth of it at all. thanks to this its made me want to purchase it. i dont have much of a channel but once i get it on and etc expect a video or two from me.
Awesome video! I'd add that when grouping upgrades that work on the same devise or function (ie mining laser upgrades as opposed to grenade as opposed to scanner etc.) you get a bonus! Unsure if it's really worth it but when ship shopping it can easily come into play. I'd been playing since release (NA release, sorry :/) and I didn't even know half of these xD
On a funny note I was 'jet pack velocitying' or w/e today and apparantly I was going so fast that when I slammed into a rock it hurt me! Not cool not cool at all :\ gotta learn how to land that. gravity (even imaginary gravity that SHOULD NOT exist in some cases... then again it should be WAY worse in others so who am I to complain...) bites.

If anyone new that's playing and you're planning on buying a ship, well you can also find crashed ship that have upgrade and more slots, but you do have to do a bit fixing which are easy fix

The only thing I didn't know about nms was #1. It took awhile to figure the game out but that's what was really fun about it. Now I can glide quickly across those planets! The game lacks certain things but its still really fun!

Though personally I would recommend the jet pack upgrade because it really helps boost reason number 1!:)
You can find plutonium everywhere and also carbon is used to recharge life support and mining beam. Only launch thrusters and certain crafting recepies are specified for plutonium so just go get it when needed and keep your inventory slots open for more rare elements or trading items.

Hey, I would like to add, that you cannot only by an Star Ship, but also find one raked on the planet, if you explore the planet you can sometimes find an shelter with a distress message received, after words if you unlock the message you can find where the ship crashed and after repairing it take it!
quickest way to get access to inventory slots is to find an orange beacon and select the "Shelter" option. it drops the suit mod every time. you can do it multiple times from the same beacon.
Just a tip. When you get to a planet that doesn't seem to have a lot of stuff on it, it will typically have a lot of exosuit upgrades. My inventory space is at 48. It does add up on the cost though.

I already have 40 exosuit inventory slots, double my ships current inventory slots. It helps a shit ton. I recommend to use the signal receivers that require one bypass chip and hit shelter. Just beware that once you hit it a certain number of times it will point you back to the ones that you have already visited. However, to get 40 I pretty much spent close to 2mil units for those upgrades.
You can find new drop pods on planets if you search for shelter at the red signals that have a red beam go into the sky. Just search several times until you don't find new ones at that beam.
You can get out of caves with grenades or just dig down to find caves that you can't find an entrance to.
Gold and Emeril form big shiny rocks on the surface of planets.
Iridium makes arcs that are some meters high.
Some planets have copper rocks floating in the air or gold pylons.

Once you have the recipe, iron can be used for shield shards that can be used to top off your environmental shields. Heridium is also one part of the materials you need to build warp cores from scratch.
I've found the easiest way to getting a new ship is when you go to those sites with the machine that needs a Bypass Chip is to hit "Transmission" a couple of times, eventually you'll get one that takes you to a site where you need to solve a math puzzle and it'll lead you to a crashed ship that's usually +/- 2 storage slots of your current ship.
