A message to those that come here due to panic attacks or anxiety.
I used to have panic attacks every day. I couldn’t leave the house.
They ended for me when i learned a teaching from from Mingyur Rinpoche the Buddhist Monk. The secret is to not run. Dont try to make it go away. Trying to escape or avoid panic is the very thing that keeps it alive. Meditation and relaxation videos like these are great BUT, if you are using it in order to escape panic or anxiety then it will simply keep it alive in the long term. The way out is to truly accept how you feel in the moment, allow your thoughts, allow the sensations and recognise that it is uncomfortable but not dangerous. At first your mind will tell you you can’t, but it is a lie, then you will try to accept only to attempt to make them go away, which also does not work as it isnt really acceptance. Then finally all you have left is to truly accept it. And If you can learn to truly accept then you will be free. The first stage is you will no longer be afraid of it. Then the symptoms will fade until they disappear completely. It works, and it works for everyone I promise! Sincerely hope you conquer them too.

I’m just 13years old and I’m going through anxiety .To me ,there is no valid reason to my anxiety , like I just keep on thinking about very very small things and just keep on thinking and thinking and thinking and it leads to anxiety. That discomfort, uneasiness makes me cry and feel helpless. I understand whoever has anxiety, I’m with you in your journey.

i just want to share out here into the comment abyss that i’ve been struggling with anxiety since january. i had a panic attack and it triggered a lot of negative emotions and uncomfortable feelings. the year is halfway over and i’m still experiencing these symptoms and honestly some days i just need to stop and cry because i am overwhelmed and every day i try to stay positive. “i can do this, im okay” sometimes i don’t feel like i can anymore. i know this is all because of anxiety: these negative thoughts and uncomfortable feelings. i’m gonna try to allow myself to FEEL the uncomfortable feelings and do what this video recommends because i’ve already lost half a year. my quality of life has gone down and my emotions are very dulled out. i want to say that anyone experiencing this is NOT alone. i will keep praying for those who suffer from this and i hope that we can all slowly make it out to the other side

Doing anything I haven’t done before or involves competition will send me into the worst panic attacks and this usually happens on a daily basis and I feel so lost and I remove myself from the world because any interaction I have with someone makes me feel like I’m actively doing something wrong and I want to throw up. For support and resources, the NAMI National Warmline Directory is a great resource, unlike a hotline for those in immediate crisis, warmlines provide early intervention with emotional support that can prevent a crisis - and a more costly 911 call or ER visit. The lines are typically free, confidential peer-support services staffed by volunteers or paid employees who have experienced mental health conditions themselves. My heart doesn’t start pounding and I don’t sweat or feel nervous: rather I get “the flu” and can’t function until I leave the place or situation. It’s only triggered by physical discomfort or pain, not by anything mental or emotional. But coping with pain seems to be part of daily life as an adult.

This video helped a little especially with the breathing technique that I always forget to do.

Nice video. One more suggestion. Be careful what you feed your mind. Reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15-20 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down on the bed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. With practice the mind will relax. Keep a reminder to observe your breath sensations throughout the day and night anywhere -anytime-- before sleep, at work, at home, when travelling etc with eyes open or closed. Like me make breath observing a lifetime habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

@@shyaaammeneen63 Thank You for the advice Shyaaam! I do have reduced my social media intake and have recognized that it's a component which stresses the mind. I also made steps in fixing my sleep schedule, as well as healthy routines like a healthy diet and showering more often. Journaling has been also a very helpful way to organize thoughts. I still get anxiety, but much less and I broke out of the viscious cycle of anxiety attacks.

Thank you for this video. The last sentence helped me just a lot. I am believing that i can overcome this phobia and anxiety how long and strong it stains in my head!!! Its just a silly thoughts in my head with “what if” 😡 I know it sounds silly, but i felt my life is done now because of the anxiety and Emetophobia. I started doing CBT by myself finally after suffering from them for 8 years… I did things i was too afraid of such as eating and then going out, taking a train alone and eating then taking a train, eating at a restaurant and so on. I do try literally every single day because I know I could before suffering from them. I loved eating, social gathering, going abroad… Now even though i just show myself that i can do it even with anxiety. My brain is saying no. I was sooo shaking everyday to do things which i avoided for 8 years. But i could manage even while i am having bad thoughts.
Today i was so afraid to have a time with someone who i am very interested in. But i was so shaky because of the silly thought, what if i have a panic attack in front of him, what if I feel nauseous in front of him!!!!! Let me give a freedom to like someone. Its soooo freaking annoying. I want to beat this shit. I want to overcome! I need my life back!
I hate me being like this small!

Anxiety disorder is a form of self harm in a way. I believe a lot of it comes from past trauma (although as stated it can be genetic or a chemical problem). Feeling unworthy, not forgiving yourself, feeling judged by others which is actually just you judging yourself. It's easy to get caught up in destructive thought patterns where you ruminate over every little thing. Especially if you live alone and have too much time to cogitate the little things instead of looking at the bigger picture. You tend to go inwards instead of filling your time with more productive things. At least this is my experience as I have experienced all of these. I also have real physical issues to deal with requiring medical intervention which adds fuel to the fire. Anxiety can be complex and not so easy to treat without a support plan.

I recently came across this quote by G.K. Chesterton : "If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly."
Sometimes, when we're feeling anxious, we can get caught up in the idea that we have to do everything perfectly or not at all. But the truth is, it's better to try and do something imperfectly than to do nothing at all. Every step, no matter how small, is progress.
Remember that you're strong and capable, and that you don't have to figure everything out all at once. Take it one day at a time, and remember to breathe. You've got this.

I failed my drive test a few months ago and now I’ve developed anxiety whenever I drive because I don’t want to fail. My mom wants me to drive so she gets angry when I say I don’t want to. She never forces me to do it. But she just came and told me that she was pissed that I “quit trying” to drive after I failed. Like no Melinda, I developed anxiety, this has happened before with other things and the first thing I did was distance myself for a few moths until I felt ready and I forgot about the incident that caused the anxiety. The next thing I did was I went and did EXACTLY what caused the incident the first time and ya know what? I did it correctly because before hand I made a plan on how to execute it and I fallowed through. But if you keep bringing up the source of anxiety it’s just going to take me longer to forget how bad it was. And what’s most annoying is I’ve told her most of this and she just doesn’t listen to me. She never has… sorry it just happened and I needed to rant. You don’t have to reply to this at all or even read it lol. I hope you’re exams go amazing! I have faith in you, you’ve got this!

This isn't a lecture and I'm not preaching so please don't take it that way
But I'll draw your attention to the words of jesus .-come to me all,who are weary and I will give you rest..
It's something I use and monks say always.
      It's called the Jesus prayer
      Breath in-lord jesus Christ-breath out-Have mercy on me ...
It's a mantra which will give you rest .
Say it as often as,you can

What do we do when we don't know what is causing the anxiety? How do we cope when we are seemingly anxious all the time, with no identifying factors?

Try to observe your thoughts when it’s happening that can bring some clarity. First start to take a deep breath’s in to your belly, meditation, yoga, long walk in nature this all might help. Alternatively get help, hypnosis can heal anxiety fast.

@@marcinsmelczyszquantumhealing what about the type of anxiety that makes your body feel so anxious starts to feel all this weird things like numbness on the arms, tense back or pressure on back of the head, or simply when you just disconnected (feels detached from reality) how do we start to feel us again when disconnected feelings makes us worry.? My ears ring day and night having a hard time staying asleep I feel disconnected from everything my body goes through so many different feelings it’s scary

@@lauramelgoza90 good question, I actually about to record video about that as more and more people have similar symptoms. Basically our body is communicating with us when something in our life is out of balance and the only way it can do is through aches and pains.
Try to do guided meditation with 432hz frequency or see specialist someone with a wholistic approach. There is no golden recipe you will feel what’s right for you to revive healing and understanding.
Many blessings to you stay strong ✨

Can someone have anxiety mostly related to heart issues and not feel anxious at all or have any triggering reasons for feeling this way??
