Satisfactory Update 5 let's play gameplay today and there's a small nuclear waste incident at our nuclear power plant. Also we'll be messing around with beams and Update 5 creative build techniques for a new factory!

About Satisfactory:
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies. The Satisfactory Train update and Nuclear update also adds in trains, train stations, and nuclear power plant to enjoy, if you can handle the nuclear waste that is! In some of our videos, we go over Satisfactory tips and Satisfactory building tips, as well how to build a mega base and manufacturer setup. Our Satisfactory Early Access let’s play ep 1 was started a few months ago, but now we have hundreds of hours since Satisfactory ep 1 and have built a giant base with computer production, supercomputer production, a huge nuclear power plant and hundreds of trains! Our giant train system covers the entire map and gathers uranium, deals with our nuclear waste, and Satisfactory trains are a very satisfactory way of travel!
Satisfactory Update 3 also changed the game entirely adding pipes, Hyper Tubes, the Awesome Shop and Awesome Sink (aka Resource Sink), a new desert biome, a new vehicle, and a ton more! Recently though Satisfactory Update 4 released adding in the very Satisfactory Tier 8 with: plutonium, plutonium waste, a hover pack, the blender, a battery building, ziplines, gas, reservoirs and wells, drones, new space elevator parts, and a whole lot more too!

Satisfactory Update 5 then added in a ton of quality of life features like zooping, train collisions, train signals, and a ton more.
Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!

9:20 Protip: all problems go in the box
My favourite thing to do with soft clipping is to have conveyor lifts going into the foundations and than have the belts run underneath the floor, you can then have lifts bring the materials back up where you need them and it looks really clean.
They also added the conveyor floor holes though, so you don't need to clip that. And those things look just fantastic.
How sweet. Homer's letting Bart manage the nuclear reactor for some practice.
You should have named it "BCL RUB 1 OUT" just in case you had another R product. Also because it's funny.

Hey Kibz, in the future, a cool thing I found with refineries is that they sit on little supports and pipes and belts fit perfectly under them. Thats what I did in my fuel power plant and it looks super clean. Just a suggestion you can play around with! Looks great as always though keep up the great content!
Hey, I found out, you can basically overclock all the machines to unlimited amounts... Just sayin'. Like 2000% on a smelter is funny. It only works by entering the percentage with 3 power shards equipped. I guess they have forgotten to set limits in overclocking with update 5. It's literally hilarious, overclocking a nuclear plant, just for a second, to 5000%... ^^
EDIT: Beams from the ceiling are great as pipe and belt holders. If you like you can showcase my map, just sayin' :D
Also, load balancing in pipes always led to some serious trouble for me. Didn't work out like AT ALL. I cut all the connected pipes and literally made small closed circuits that can be filled initially - that's it.

Well i Was rewatching and rebuilding your Power plant And I noticed a big mistake:
You have way to many reactors for to little rods.
You are making 22,5 rods per Minute.
One overclocked reactor Takes 0,4 rods per Minute.
You have 56 overclocked reactors and 42 normal running reactors.
The Problem:
56 overclocked reactors alone Takes 22,4 rods.
So you have 41,5 too many reactors :O
Instead of 42 Additioninal you just need one on 50% (0,1 rods/min)
Your production on Plutonium fits the 56 overclocked reactors and one on 50%, so this system should also back up eventually.
Now your rods are backed up as heck, but some time it will break.
I dont know when, but it will eventually, or am i missing something?
Numberwise, this should not be functional. So i guess this wont be the last breakdown 🙈

I really liked the behind the scenes tour. I never realized that pro builders patch over the ugly. I feel much more empowered to try more creative builds knowing it's ok to fake it in some places. Thanks for the peek behind the curtain Kibz.

I saw in the 2021 24 hour Livestream that you wanted the lifts to be able to be reversed. Correct me if i heard wrong. But they can be reversed, just press R to change the build mode.

I build mid rise buildings. We do the same thing with concealing all the mismatch stuff in dead spaces/fur downs/fur outs/dropped ceilings etc.
Very cool that the system just doesn't shut off because, well, there is _some_ rubber, so it's still producing, but eventually it would continue to get worse and the system would begin to just not run most of the time. What a concept.
if satisfactory is getting bored for you, could you maybe play factorio?

This is why I use alt turbofuel instead of nuclear for endgame power needs. I just airlift sulfur to any of the oil locations where sulfur is far away, and the rest is simple to set up.

Kibz this isn't a math exam where you need to use the calculator for 2+2
If it's worth anything Mr Kibitz, I've had some success with providing the Nuclear plants with slightly more water than it needs. I noticed the same issue as you with my nuclear plant, and found that the plant is slightly glitched, if you give it just enough water, it cuts out every few seconds like it runs out of water. That causes those dips in the graph. After hooking up an extra water pump to each 4 power plants it runs in my factory with stable power. Just a suggestion for you to try :)
Y'know... half and quarter length structural components "would be nice". So too would be angular build options so glitching stuff wouldn't be needed. Circular placements would be good too... If they just implemented those points, it would be an awesome build environment.

You must have been playing for 1000 hours to build all this. I could never reach that level of dedication, my pc would not be able to handle the strain.

It's a shame that you can't cultivate oil like in mindustry, if you could, that would help boost your rubber economy. (For those who aren't cultured with some of mindustry, water can be turned into fungus, fungus can be used as fuel or turned into oil)
I can't wait to see what horrors happen next with the plant.
I suppose the problem was the rubber wasn't hitting the road.

You may put Pipe Wallmounts at these Beams, so they can hang at the sides
You should use those empty rooms to hide wiring and stuff like that
still waiting for factorio with the mod space exploration :))
I like how there is a way between past, present, and future kibz.
I feel that you've gone and built so big that you can no longer keep track of things and keep things organized.
Every small fix is a multi hour project that can some times cascade into working on 29 other things

the doggo will one day turn the nuclear power plant into nukes to destroy the planet
I see you are using the jetpack always.. but the hover pack is more efficient. specially it is very fast, just try holding shift and going, it goes really fast compared to jetpack
And also saves inventory slots than the jetpack hence the jetpack uses fuel..
The only downside is that it needs power always.. but you just got to have few stacks of cables, concrete, wire and rods... which usually you keep in you inventory
And also it it=s really good in fighting animals
The fluffy dogs - no threat cause you are literally flying and they cannot hurt you
The alpha dogs - same thing
The Spiders, small/big/poisonous - they are ground beings and you are flying
spitters - if you hover high enough they cannot hit you with fire
Alpha spitters - the only threat
Last nuclear waste incident... until a new update that changes everything again

i love how people build their factories, but i'm not gonna lie as an industrial mechanic i despise it, if factories would be built like this in real life, any maintenance work would be a nightmare, just accessing the machines... omg lol, but great vid.
To be fair, if you could just whip out your TV remote to dismantle an entire process unit and rebuild it good as new, you probably wouldn't have any issues. Of course you'd then only be paid for fifteen minutes of work per day, so that's an issue.
