THANK YOU! I’ve been struggling with my carb even after rebuilding it. Car would not start. This video helped me problem solve and now it fires right up.
I have a pretty bad bog off the line. When it’s running I checked the squirters and gave it some gas, the gas devil doesn’t squirt but kind of blobs out of the squirter. I’m going to start with the Excelerator pump. Something interesting though, O’Reillys AutoZone and Napa were out of them and they could not even tell me when they would get them on order. My Edelbrock carburetor rebuild kit looks like it has grommets to rebuild an Excelerator pump I may have to go that route instead of get a new one. Great video I really need to see this thank you
I have a 1406 and it runs fine till you stab the throttle then it spits sputters pops and shuts off. After a few seconds you can crank and drive the truck at normal speeds fine. I've changed accelerator pump out and cleaned and adjusted the floats and still does the same thing as it did before. It has a Mr gasket regulator on it that was set on 1 but I set it on 2 then 3 thinking it needed more fuel but still pops and dies out. No apparent hose being blocked. This carb is on a vortec 350 with just a after market intake and headers. With HEI distributer.
@@PeachCoastLowrider the truck was vapor locking due to the truck having the TPI engines old rubber gas lines running from the gas tank to the carb. I ran new braided high temp lines and rebuilt the entire carb with a kit. Also covered the gas lines with high temper sleeves I bought at Oreillys.
@@67goodoleboy67 lol I dont know if my nerves would take it. Currently fighting adjustable camber bushings and installing a roar throttle commander in my challenger.
