Wow you took that surprisingly well. By the time credits rolled on that episode I was a blubbering mess bawling my eyes out. At least you don't have to stew on it for one week till the next set of episodes released. Always fun to watch your insightful reactions.
i can't even listen to this song without ending a sobbing mess. It's one of the best episodes of the show in my opinion, though, from ep 3 to ep 7 of season two, wow.
I just realize now, Jayce shooting his hammer cannon just at the moment we thought everything would be okay parallels the end of season one with Jinx shooting fishbones at the council when they declared they would make peace with Zaun and grant them independence
It's interesting to me that people pin the death of all of Viktor's followers on Jayce without addressing why their lives were apparently linked to Viktor in the first place.
Thank you for the great reaction and analysis! Yeah, fully get the concerns with the "over-healing" - healing is of course very nice, but it is generally scary when it's up to a singular person to decide what needs to be corrected and what is okay. And ten times scarier if that person is a magic robot, since being a magic robot tends to affect one's perspective on many things quite a lot.
This episode was so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. It's funny but I feel such a combination of sorrow but also pride when I think about Isha. On the one hand, there's the obvious sorrow of her sacrifice, but at the same time every time I watch the scene and watch her adjust her helmet before she charges in I can't help but be so proud of her. The sheer level of bravery and determination she shows - I can't help but admire her conviction to protect Jinx.
Jayces intentions goes beyond keeping his original promise to Victor and the last three episodes will dive into it especially the next one. Even then it takes until the very end to fully understand. Needless to say, the order of events within these episodes did him dirty and I’m sure that was intentionally done.
I’m keeping in mind that Viktor said that it wasn’t Jayce and there was another voice or something like that, so Jayce probably isn’t acting on his own. If Viktor says it isn’t Jayce, I’ll trust that. Also he keeps glitching out on saying he promised, and his big promise WAS to destroy the Hexcore. It still looks bad…but having a day or two to ruminate is making me more invested in who Jayce is being influenced by. 😅
So many things I want to say. Some will have to wait until after the next few episodes. 1 - Is he hallucinating Sky? It's really unclear at this point exactly. I've heard several interpretations, but the one that fits best for me is that when the Hex Core "ate" Sky it didn't delete her entirely, just her body. Some part of her mind is still in there and perhaps has merged with the hex core. It's the only thing that makes sense for me of how she responds to and interacts with Viktor compared to other theories I've heard. 2 - A lot of people interpret the 'scream' from all the commune members as evidence that they're all fakes or puppets. I think it makes much more sense that they're all networked with Viktor and when Jayce shot Viktor it effected everyone connected to the network. All the commune members act too autonomously and respond in ways that are too human for me to interpret them all as mindless husks. Also turning them all into husks would be so extremely against Viktor's character it's kind of unbelievable. 3 - I know you got a bit spoiled about "Viktor the machine herald in league" but I do want to say that a lot of what you may have heard might be out of date. Viktor has had a few lore reworks in League that have changed his goals and motivations. I won't say more just yet because I don't want to risk spoiling anything either. 4 - The flashbacks with Isha and Powder are some of my favorite short sequences of animation in the series (I say Powder because she stopped calling herself Jinx when she was happy in her life with Isha). There are of course far more expensive and technically brilliant shots, but these are just such pure heartwarming bliss (outside the context of what follows anyway).
Since you haven’t watched the video breakdowns of the second season to avoid spoilers, but you’ve already seen the sixth episode, I’ll say this: Isha made a rash decision while trying to help, similar to Powder in Season 1, Episode 3. However, Isha is braver than Powder and jumps into the fight without a second thought.
Let's be honest it isn't Jace's fault that Everyone died when he shot Victor, ultimately it's Victor's choice to link them to him is the cause. Such a thing is clearly Wrong to do .
One important disclaimer. Vander wasn't fully healed and thus hadn't joined Viktor's collective consciousness yet. The reason he went beserk wasn't because Viktor was "killed" but because of the serum created by Singed specifically for that purpose . You can see the lava coming out of him matches the color of the serum, and during Viktor's monologue there's a shot of Singed standing in the destroyed greenhouse where Vander was.
Does Singed need to inject Warwick to prevent Viktor from healing him if Viktor is dead? No. Does Singed need to inject him in order to explain Warwick's behavior? No. Is it believable for Singed to walk up to and inject the fully alert and unrestrained Warwick? No. There's simply no reason to think he injected Vander. It doesn't add anything to the story in that moment, and if anything detracts from it. Why show Singed in that moment? Because it fits into Viktor's monologue - flashing back and forth between people who do good and evil things in the name of love. (It also reminds the audience that Singed is still standing in the middle of the commune and leaves us to wonder what horrors he might create with Viktor and his followers).

Thank goodness I’m watching the next one tonight 😅

7:02 This look got me speechless, too. It's so well-done, simple but creative. And I love your interpretation, it's very on point.

17:07 Cait folded so fast
The title gave me a good chuckle lol
The smile on your face and in your voice at 0:58. Not even a minute in and I'm already howling.

6:00 Christian Woman by Type O Negative begins playing...
Well….theres next episode.
The gear came off of the wheel Jinx was messing with. Remember most Cults start out seemingly Altruistic. lol

It's not the first tame Jace has killed child 😂
