Fun fact, those “Oooohhh!”s are Odysseus. It shows the moly taking effect Done For is literally a musical battle. Back and forth between strings, and his electric guitar. However, once she pulls the seduction card, his guitar is _gone._ Circe has all control again.
Fun Fact! Talya (who voices Crice) and Jorge (voices Ody and is the creator of epic) are dating in real life. Another fun fact is Talya also auditioned for the part of Penelope.
God I love the Circe Saga. Puppeteer: I love the call and response in this song between Eury and Circe. It makes for an interesting tone for that’s different from most the others. Gigi’s animatic is also just… so gorgeous. I love their design for Circe. That full 360 shot while swapping between characters? So freakin good. Wouldn’t You Like: A very catchy song, and again something we haven’t quite heard from the musical yet. So the reason Hermes’ design has shaded eyes is because his singer is always wearing shades/sunglasses. At least to my understanding. It also just helps give off that trickster vibe where you’re not really sure what he’s after. Also, Hermes is Ody’s great grandfather. So that’s a fun tidbit. Done For: Dude the flow for this song is so good. I love the approach that Circe and Ody want the same thing, to protect the people they care about: Ody with his men and Circe with her nymphs. There Are Other Ways: Ugh, I absolutely love Gigi’s animatic for this song! I love all the little character details they put in. How Circe undoes and re-ties her hair, how she circles Ody, how the nymphs are weary when they see Ody but relax when Circe assures them it’s okay. The way the color palette changes when she mentions the Underworld, and the animation for the smoke, how it’s all sketchy looking. God, I could gush about this animatic forever. Again, I also just love this Circe design. She’s kind of has a lion motif happening. It’s really neat. The little drawing at the end card with Ody missing his wife and Circe just looking so done. It’s so cute and funny. And then about the song itself, that final riff Talya Sindel (Circe) just belts out is everything to me. On top of them bringing Puppeteer back in? Someone sedate me. Also just how you hear Penelope’s little motif after Ody breaks free of Circe’s spell, letting you know before he says anything how he was able to resist. He just loves his wife so much and for a second there it almost turns into a venting session for Ody in which Circe is just like “what is happening?” But it’s Ody’s loyalty to his wife and the showing that he’s different than the men Circe has dealt with in the past (the ones that are implied to have taken advantage of- to put it lightly - her and her nymphs) that ultimately changes her mind and why she decides to help. I love this saga so much. It’s genuinely my favorite of Act 1.
At 13:43, Jorge said in a video regarding the creation of Circe's music; that this tune closely resembles the Habanera from the French opera "Carmen." This melody is associated with the character Carmen during her seductive moments, which suggests that Circe has some tricks up her sleeve. :) also, starting at 20:40, there's a melody I listen to almost every day because Talya Sindel's voice is simply divine. EDIT Get a box of tissues for the next saga please T-T
Funfact: the woman who voices, Circe , Talya Sindel, after recording for her became Jorge's girlfriend and they are adorable. They promote the show together in little vids on tiktok together. :3
I love your point about the saga being discordant / dissonant / off balance until the end, I hadn’t thought of it that way (and haven’t seen anyone else mention that!) but I absolutely see it and it makes so much sense too.
Here we go. Disco King Hermes 🕺 If I could recommend animatics for the Underworld saga it would be these: The Underworld- Falperio05 (fr. This one is newer, and super good) No Longer You- Ximena Natzel Monster- Gigi, Ximena also has a good one
Keep in mind, each character has an instrument assigned to them that'll effect how songs involving them sounds. Odysseus is the guitar, acoustic for when he's being emotional and electric when he's being more ruthless. Athena is the piano. Circe is either the viola or violin, w whichever one she isn't, being for Penelope. Aolus(the wind god) is I think a flute? And etc.
It's the myth of Pandora and Pandora's box. After humans were given fire against the wishes of the Olympians, some of the Olympians create Pandora, the first woman.
On the topic of what to watch after Epic or Vox Machina, there is a Hamilton x Vox Machina crossover fan made production on TH-cam. By Cantana Pansophical. It is based on the ttrpg stream, not the animated series, but still I hope pretty good for fans.
Hyped for every reaction you drop for epic the musical. Wish i could watch your vox machina reaction but i just started it Edit: are your eyes hazel or blue? Theyre a great shade of cerulean in this light
*Please* do Ximena Natzel's version of Monster if you do their version of No Longer You! Almost no one watches their version! Gigi is amazing, but nearly everyone watches Gigi.
Gigi's has the reference to horse and the infant and just a man though, I'd recommend watching both, but I think Gigi's is the better option for the first try.
the way your eyes went wide when Circe unbuttoned her dress in done for, damn girl

Also Zeus 🤭
@@sanders_billytoxic Yuri Zeus is not something I imagined till now
Yeah I saw her audition recording in a video Mr jalapeño made
Kyra be like: I shall steal her from Jorge hehehehehe
I adore Penelope's leit motif coming in when he refuses Circe
Everyone take a shot for literally the only time mercy and open arms actually worked in the entire narrative!
I would also volunteer as a puppet, Circe is just
Specifically “We should try to find a way no one ends up dead”. They also play the tune when they first entered Polyphemus’ cave, I believe
God I love the Circe Saga.

I think Circe's is strings in general. 'Cause she's a puppeteer. ; )
she gets it!!! circe is just so gahhhhhhh I would volunteer as a puppet too
I am so excited for you to see the Underworld Saga! It's my favorite so far. It's only 3 songs, but they're all on point!
As A Lesbian I Can Say Circe Is VERY HOT 😌✨️
Just keep in mind that Eury had something he wants to say. Keep that in mind for a few sagas. :3
If I remember correctly in one Greek Myth (I think it’s one of Aphrodite’s origin myths) but it says that women are curse given to man by Zeus
It's the myth of Pandora and Pandora's box. After humans were given fire against the wishes of the Olympians, some of the Olympians create Pandora, the first woman.
"KYRAAAAAAAAAA DROP THE REMAINDER OF EPIC AND MY LIFE IS YOURSSS!"
Love your reactions!! ❤
I recommend Duvetbox's version of Legendary and Little Wolf
There's an excellent novel from Circe's perspective that I highly recommend: 'Circe' by Madeline Miller.
Your reactions continue to be amazing ^^
not sure if you noticed, but the piano at the very beginning of puppeteer is a reprise of full speed ahead
the other guy who had something to tell him his brother in law
YOUR BACK i missed your videos!
