Yes I was in a tight cringe when she opened that can drink😱 I always try to have wipes, extra napkins in vehicle and purse for just such occasions. A bottle of water to stay in cup holder would be good too (rinse over the top of can) Good looking out ladies😇 Keep straws for that too. The news even focused a report on that few years back. Are you reading this young lady We 'really do care about you'.😁💖🙏🏼
you can put some dawn and water and vinegar in a spray bottle & use that to spray the dirty dishes, then use another spray bottle with water to rinse them to save on water. just a thought. maybe use a paper towel to wash them with.
I hope you liked San Francisco! Yes, the weather is perfect here, not too hot, not too cold. Sorry about the fog, that’s our summer here, driving at night with the fog is really challenging, hope you will avoid that. ❤
If you're going up through Oregon on the 101 when you get north of Tillamook (recommend the cheese factory tour, ice cream, and the beef jerkey store), the whole drive is scenic and beautiful. Don't forget about the sea lion caves, devils punchbowl, Astoria Column (our current duty station), and Cape Dissapointment Lighthouse. You may even see the Coast Guard doing training while over there. I have a bunch more recommendations along the Oregon Coast if you'd like them!

If you aren’t already .. you should have the ceiling vent fan pulling air out of the van while cooking amiga. Tons of pollution being breathed into your lungs from the propane stove .. especially in such a confined space. ❤😊
You should always wipe the top of your drinks before you drink from them, because you do not know how many people have picked up that drink and hand was on or near the mouth of that can or bottle.

Nomi, if you can drive on that overlook, you can drive on 101 up- it will be fine! You will be on right side of road up against hills etc… no need to drive close to cliff side! You will be heading North! Pacific ocean will be on your left across the road….two lane highway!

I lived in Livermore, CA (East Bay; 45 minute drive into San Francisco) for 4 years. You could count on San Francisco to be 20-30 degrees cooler than the East Bay. I always needed to remind myself to take a sweatshirt when I went into the City. 😊😊

Hi Nomi! It's not the state that you're in, it's the weather where you're located. You're in Northern California and it is cooler. Down here in Southern California, it's in the 90's. You probably wouldn't have had the same results.

Almost forgot and the restaurants and places to are so many. If you drive along on Geary Blvd. from downtown towards the beach..there are so many places to eat. You'll find Italuan, Irish, Russian, India food, Middle Eastern, Mel's Diner. Throughout the city You'll find all kinds of places to eat. Oh yeah, seafood restaurants. In Fisherman's Wharf. And if you drive along the coast to Half-moon Bay..go to Barbara's Fish Trap. Yum, the best fish n chips. Gosh, I wish I could hang out with you. Like I said have fun be safe.❤😊

Welcome to my home town in San Francisco, we have unpredictable weather for our summer. We do get fog, sun, misty, windy, hot weather. Enjoy California!
If you are still in the San Francisco area, I highly recommended a guided bus tour of San Francisco. I almost always take one of those when I'm in S.F. They are very informative, with lots of history and will also take you through Chinatown, which I love, as well as other parts of S.F. Probably worth parking your van in a safe, paid parking lot near downtown and catching one of those tour buses. I believe they leave from Union Square. It's the best overview of S.F.
Come about 2 hours south of San Francisco to the Monterey area and I’m positive you’ll love it. It’s my hometown. Nature, ocean, beaches, mountains and beauty is everywhere. Big Sur is about another 20 mins south of Monterey is a huge scenic drive! Carmel about 10 mins away. I’d even give you a tour if you were up to it. Safe traveling! 🤙🏽
I know that ride and you must have nerves of steel. You ain't missing nothing but a steep drop straight down. I was a passenger in the front seat and had to put my seat way back. Very scary, but your music and your driving makes it look beautiful...and also the for, cause you can't see anything Lol.

Question for you Nomie: Have you ever tried geo-caching? I just recently started and I enjoy it so much, and I wish that I was a traveler like you so that I could find goodies outside of my proximity. There are videos about it all over youtube. I've watched so many of your videos and I thought of you, that you might enjoy something like this on your travels. It helps take you to places that you might not see otherwise while having a mission to find something elusive. There's an app. It's free, but you can go premium but it's not necessary. It's simply called Geocaching and it's a green square with white emblems.
I started geocaching (also known as letterboxing back then) when I was stationed in Japan in 1983. Trying to get the challenge badge of 1 geocache from every state. I agree, I think she'd have a blast with this treasure hunt and being stealthy too!
That drive scared me to death, narrow road whining roads, cliffs. I'm living my life in mountains through you😊. However, I did go to Portland once up the mountain to see the many waterfalls. Beautiful and scary as Heck. I love the do-nothing days. Be Safe

Hi Nomi! I’ve learned that a fridge/freezer runs more effectively if it’s full. Maybe try keeping bottles of water in your fridge to help efficiency?😊

Consider the chest freezer and chest fridge cos the cold does not fall out when the door is opened ..less power to maintain the same temperature..
