Love it, everything about it. I am looking for a SUPER SHOPS now...90s baby ! Best line from Steve ever, "we don't need a hood, we have a gigantic motor"...lol
They closed a looong time ago. Had a few pads round the corner from them in Van Nuys, and one up the st from P.A.W. In chatsworth. Favorite place to be!
I've come to the conclusion that motor trend doesn't want anyone to watch their shows. I'm tired of trying to find out where they have slithered off to. Not gonna play this f'ing game anymore.
That Vision Quest Oldsmobile was on my wall as a kid! I had a Cutlass Calais and that was my dream build. My heart skipped a beat when it showed up on the screen! Thanks
@@wayneyang1155 Yeah Frieberger sold out hard. Finnegan still posts though so it wasn't a total loss. And we have stay tuned too now, which kinda feels the same as early roadkill only minus the personality, Lol.
I ran into similar issues on that lack of a 10 degree bushing and the MSD pulling in too much timing. There's a guy making 10 and 14 degree bushings for the MSD units.
Realizing that almost all people would have to read all of those engine specs off of a piece of paper, when he can talk to them - and be precise - while on camera. Astonishing.
''This is what a 1000hp pro street Nova looks like'' *pulls out a corporate-filled wallet with more money in it, than I'll ever see in my entire lifetime*
The original Pro Street cars were just that: street cars, not race cars. Most early examples were back-halfed cars with subframe connectors and stock front suspension.
When Freiburger said "Chevy Duster", it made me laugh. When I bought my first car, I had been test driving two cars, a Nova with a 350 in it, and a 73 Duster 340. I went with the Duster. Paid a whole $2,100 for it.
Do Jerichos have the ability to run a vertigate shifter? I mean, they're clutchless, so that and a vertigate could make a car a LOT faster, if you want to run a manual transmission.
That’s why I love roadkill and roadkill garage. They just don’t build cars. They teach you tricks and tips They’re very hands on.
The only thing that could be better is if us inferior people were allowed to watch the full episode.
On Pluto tv they have a motor trend channel and on the weekend they run full episodes of roadkill, roadkill garage and faster with finnigan.
@@scottvincent3062 what’s Pluto TV?

Dang straight. Posers went to Jegs, gangsters went to Super Shops. lol they got plenty of my money back then.

To me that IS the nova. I know they had a bunch of other models, but that's the definitive one to me. And the hood scoop was fine :)
I was born in 70 that is the nova. Didnt care for the hood though.
truth
Right, that's the Nova and the hood looked great to me.
Glad you guys are online again .... Discovery ruined the Motor Trend Channel for stand alone subscription
You guys rock....
truth
So good to see you guys again. I have not seen any of your videos since mt shut off the access to your videos in my area 😍😍
I had to get a Discovery+ sub to get the shows back, only to find they're incomplete, with seasons missing.
exact same story here
So get a vpn

I am absolutely in love with this car !!!! One of my favorite body styles and the tunnel cram is the icing on the cake.
Steve is so laid back, I would love to build and entire car with him and just have fun and tell stories.
Awesome work Dave and Steve!
Great to see some TH-cam content again. The paid subscription was a horrible idea
I now own that Pro Street Camaro that is shown at the beginning of the video. It is still just as beautiful as it was in the magazine.
A tunnel ram with a blower on top, absolutely nuts intake setup. I love it.
Seeing all of these Novas on you tube makes me wish I still Had my 1972 SS nova, but family is more important
Should of worn a condom.
This was the best automotive channel hands down. I have learned so many tricks and tips from these guys.
The knowledge base of these two guys is just off the charts. Great vid.
Heck yeah! I love the Nova!

Discovery +
I've canceled my motortrend a few months ago also . I miss engine masters
They are not adding any new content on discovery +.

I just watched a new episode of Roadkill Garage on Discovery + and last week a Roadkill too.

Don't try to deny it !
That blower belt looks like it would fit my uncle Terry ..

Love the gasoline forever shirt. Got no beef with anyone who wants an EV, just don't tell me I have to drive one.
exactly 100% bro
Got that one right!!
anyone notice gas aint going down and electric rates keep increasing?
THank Elon, dikhead
Remember when MT promised we would still get every episode of roadkill after the MT release despite the paywall? Greed sucks.
Corporate jerks. They always made fun of those shows but now totally one of them.
@@wayneyang1155 Yeah Frieberger sold out hard. Finnegan still posts though so it wasn't a total loss. And we have stay tuned too now, which kinda feels the same as early roadkill only minus the personality, Lol.

Sounds like a Aussie skid rig with that sweet surge! 🇦🇺👊
I miss my 1969 Nova I had in high school in the 80s. Lots of good memories.
Love to see this nova race finnegan rubber ducky firebird. A frieburger vs finnegan blown big block shootout
Yeah ! I literally was just thinking 🤔 the same thing. Crazy 🤪
CONGRADULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BUILD!!!!
How did we go from a car with no headers to next minute running it down the strip . We are car guys , we want to see all of the build
Right like I want to see the whole process not just bits
mt has made it so most of these episodes arent worth wasting your time to watch.
That's what had me kinda pissed, they cut the video down to 20 minutes. Why??? They hate us obviously 😂😅
this evokes some nostalgia. my second car was a 1969 2 door nova with a crappy light blue EARL SHIEB paint job.
$99.99?

Sometimes you gotta crimp and go with a different plug in said cylinder ?
Does using a tunnel ram have any performance advantage while running a blower ??????

a Pro street Nova was my dream car growing up!
Steve when did you leave Britain. I thought I seen you before lol best mechanic ever

Great video, but why are you using a brass distributor gear, they wear out quickly when street driven
Yep, they should be using a composite.
bronze, not brass. - and he explained why.
@@peterrenn6341 and they still wear out on a steel camshaft
Pro street is the greatest 👍😁👍 Freiburg is awesome 😎
Dang, why all the hate on that hood? Looks fitting for a tubbed car like that.
i love it. big step-up from the whambulance.
Put a Camera in that Hood Scoop and use it like a Periscope so you can see where you're going via Dashboard TV Screen
you locktite the threads and put arp lube on the sliding surcafe. its in the arp flywheelbold manual if you read it
Hope you still have the Nova when Finnegan gets the LC500 done!
