The first time I went to Disneyland it was my 5th birthday. It was the Snow White and Pinocchio dark rides that freaked me out.
Surprisingly, Pirates never scared me, and I actually enjoyed the creepy dark water drop.
I was too scared of even thinking about entering something called the Haunted Mansion, so we ended up skipping that one.
All in all, my first Disney experience was fun.

I remember going on snow white with a friend and her family in 2004. Her mom told us that she use to be terrified of the witch. I don't even know why since she looks like her movie counterpart. Though the witch is scary, she's not designed to be terrifying especialy in the ride. Thought that she looked kinda cool and that the special effects with the queen turning around and turning to a witch as realy awsome and cool. Didn't realise that the version I went on wasn't the original. I have only known that it is much more scary looking and only saw a photo of the scared animals. But that witch looks way too detailed. I can now see why her mom was scared. She looked so real. The other props look creepy too from the detailing and rushed hand sculpted look to them. Like it has a very unfriendly uncanny loom yo them. Kinda reminds me of those bootleg statues if they are made by professionals. It looks like the characters, but something is off about them and the paint job is overly detailed.

Never been to Disney World or Disney Land so I can't really say much about Dark Rides.
But in Australia on the Gold Coast, we do have Warner Bros Movie World as well as Sea World and Dream World with their own rides and stuff.
The closest thing I have been on a Dark Ride was called the Bermuda Triangle from Sea World and I was only 10 to 12 at the time when I went there with my family in the mid to late 90s.
The ride was so scary that both my younger and older sisters were crying or shutting their eyes because they were so scared with all the stuff going on with sounds and lights making everything scary.
But I was on the edge of my seat in the ride with a HUGE smile on my face enjoying every second of it right down to the BIG SPLASH at the end of the ride.

Strangely, the only one of these rides that really scared me as a kid (granted, I didn't get to go on some of the earlier versions of some rides or ones only available overseas, and I never got on the Disney World Mr. Toad before it closed) was the Disney World version of Winnie the Pooh. The Heffalumps and Whoozles scene terrified me, as well as the thunder and lightning room right before the storm scene. Don't know why that one bothered me so much but Snow White was completely fine, but there you go.

I actually have a funny story to tell regarding Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. I took a trip to Disneyland for the first time last month. I’m typically a Disney World guy, so I was really excited to see all of the attractions that weren’t at the Florida parks, Pinocchio was one of them. Because it was my first time, I also wanted to redo some of the exclusive rides more than once. I did this with Pinocchio, and I got grouped with a party of three women who barely spoke English. Everything was going fine until we got to the donkey scene. Once the donkey shouted “Mama! Mama!” The party I was grouped with began to constantly say that over and over again throughout the rest of the ride. No joke, I was at Geppetto’s workshop, and they were STILL yelling “Mama!” Needless to say, them finding it unintentionally hilarious, made my experience unintentionally annoying. I know this wasn’t really a scary story, but I felt like sharing.

I miss going to Disneyland. I miss the fire works. Your voice is very calm and not scary. • @kylejones8289

There technically is a ride based off of a tv show in the parks: Gadget's Go-Coaster in Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland is based off of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, although that show is pretty old at this point. There's also a stage show at Hollywood Studios based off of several of their pre-school shows, and there used to be a boat ride based off the Gummi Bears cartoon. Several of their animated television characters have appeared as walk-arounds. The most recent time that I know of is that you could meet both Scrooge and Launchpad for a while in meet-and-greets in Dino-Land in the Animal Kingdom the last time I was there (a couple years ago, Pre-Covid). There were also some Disney Afternoon characters in a stage show in the 90s, but that's long gone.
There also used to be an interactive game that you could play in World Showcase in Epcot based initially off Kim Possible, but was eventually revamped to be based off of Phineas and Ferb. It is sadly gone, though.

@@nicholassims9837 Never to my knowledge, at least. Since those were originally played in live action, I could see that being kind of strange, as opposed face characters based off of cartoon characters, which allows you to have more creative license. The closest would be the walk around Power Rangers that existed when Disney had the broadcast license for that. I believe there were walk around face characters for Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable for a while.
