Sadly, no, the bots do NOT go to collectors. The only ones we fans get a hold of, are the ones we go dumpster diving for when we know a location is getting their 2.0 remodel. If you make a part 2 covering the 90's era and early 2000's I would love to see it, and hope you tell your viewers what I said here, that way fans know that the animatronics get chopped in half and axed in the face before being tossed in the dumpsters, and it is up to us to save them from going to rot in landfills (provided each person checks to make sure dumpster diving is legal in their state).

Me too! My dad built, repaired and recorded tapes for animated amusements like this. And I can tell you, this was his life through the early to mid 80’s all day until 3am. His shooting gallery amusements business went bust along with the rest so after that he only maintained the animatronics on call. He has Alzheimer’s now. All his electronics and schematics were burned in a wildfire. The people whose passion and knowledge went into this art form are a dying generation, and it truly saddens me that more people aren’t fascinated with robotics for entertainment and amusements, since it would be so refreshing in this age of having screens everywhere. My 7 year old for one is obsessed with animatronic videos and wishes she could go to the 80’s to see them! She was disappointed when we went to Chuck E Cheese and they had nothing but screens. She said mournfully “I have screens everywhere I go.”
@@ArtForAllOccasions this is really fascinating to hear. Fun Fact about Crusty, in a recent chuck e cheese video (I forgot which one), Chuck speaks backwards at one point, and if you were to reverse that, Chuck says that he was going to see Crusty at a baseball game, implying that Crusty went on to do great things, so he did get a happy ending

Little did everyone know, was that Crusty broke the species player by being the first cat in history to play baseball with humans. It was viewed at the time with immense controversy, but now Crusty stands on the same league as Jackie Robison.
I love this video. I actually like to watch a cartoon where all of the characters that have ever been in the restaurant is there. I think Chuck E Cheese being a smart aleck and always roasting his friends is quite interesting someone who seems rough around the edges have a heart of gold underneath I think the new backstory would fit so much for old Chuck E Cheese.
We didn't have a Chuck E Cheese in my town, but my grandparents had one in their town. But they hated it so much that they said it burned down and had to be careful driving us around in case we saw it. I wish there had been one around, they looked fun
You know this video made me realize something about Colins art It's not the best, (Sorry Colin) but it's really great at getting across expressions. Nice to see them here, really brought a bit of life to the audio scenes
I never really went to Chuck E. Cheese as a kid, so I'm surprised by how this video made me fall in love with these characters in such little time, keep it up Collin!
I know Jasper’s laughing fits might be annoying to some folks, but that’s what I loved about him. Jasper’s my favorite out of the Pizza Time Players, no matter how silly he may be.
It blows my mind how some people never knew that Chuck E Cheese exists until FNAF considering its been around since 1977. I'm a 90s kid, and grew up going to Chuck E Cheese. Even had a birthday party there, but hopefully one day I'll be able to visit the hybrid store here in Cali. It looks so cool

On slightly sadder news about possibly preserving the animatronics its pretty unlikely, at least in accordance to my old stores rules from the higher ups. So, I may as well throw one of my memories about the brand in here, since we're already sorta doing that at the end. But I really remember when I found out about the characters' earlier looks. My half sister, who for the record I was the baby of the family by about ten years, usually took me to a location that had the retrofitted Rock-afire iteration, but at some point she drove me to one that I'd never been to. And I remember vividly that it still had the original Pizza Time Theater signage. There was a mural on the side of the building with the older Chuck with various directional signs, straight out of an old cartoon, down to one pointing at the sky to say how far away the moon was. Then we went in and it felt very different comparatively, not to mention the fact that Chuck and the gang looked far different and much, much bulkier, let alone it being a much smaller stage. That's when, I think, I got interested in the characters. I mean, as a six year old I was already reading massive books about Chuck Jones and the Looney Tunes. It just turned into a need to find out more about these characters.
I still wonder why there is no Chuck E Cheese parody that references the fact he was supposed to be a Coyote at first. Coyote Canyon Pizza sounds like a good Chuck E Cheese parody for instance.
49:32 hang on now they could be twin brothers, one who likes to dress up like Elvis and one who likes to dress up like Michael Jackson. interestingly, MJ married Elvis's daughter.
If there's anything I wish could have happened in the 1985-90 era, is seeing the Pizza Time Players and the Rock-afire Explosion together on different stages!
You know, with the rise in popularity of Elvis last year in 2023 with his documentary movie. It would be great time for Chuck E. Cheese to revive or bring back The King for a special Elvis themed show tape, maybe make a new Muppet style puppet version of him to interact with the new Chuck characters.
nah most of us agree on you about avengers chuck. as fun as the old advertisements were, his animatronic just looked wrong. his fur looks like a mess and his eyes make him look honestly depressed. avengers chuck still had the star that he stood on for a while at my location. although i am kinda sad to admit that despite being Mitzi, Helen's movements were extremely stiff. I once went to a Chuck E Cheese place that involved a game where you push a marble in different wild animals and they make a sound effect and a quoted sentence. You know what I mean?
In regards to your reasoning why Crusty left, I recall you made a video years ago where Crusty said he was fired for becoming a Communist (the worst Communist, because he said "Down with the Proletariat!").
"All" cabaret characters were noticed? *The beach bowls left the chat* There was a other retro fit for the Beagles aside from those barber guys. And there was a Michael Jackson KING 9 ft. tall character who replaced Elvis sometimes.
Thanks for making this! Really showing my age here, but I was a Chuck E. Cheese kid in the mid-80s thru the 90s. While you point out the characters became watered down compared to the early 80s, they were even SADDER by the mid-late 90s when I was entering my teens and grown out of this. I remember going for a young relative's birthday and even by then the show seemed like a relic, a big theater room with these robots performing for no one, no kids really caring about them anymore... And that was in 1997! These poor characters, like forgotten toys.
I mean Im a 2000s kid and I still liked Chuck E growing up along with many other kids. And I did doordash for a while, but on weekends if I picked up a pizza from Chuck E Cheese it was still busy. I seriously dont be know where yall be getting yall sources from when you say things like this
Someone actually found a complete set of Beagles animatronics, and donated it to an automobile museum in Volo, Illinois. The great thing is that they programmed completely new showtapes for them that build off the original ones, and are actually better. All the Beagles get to talk, and some of the showtapes even have unique dialogue. It's really cool, and I recommend anyone who's reading this to check it out. The museum has uploaded a couple showtapes to thier TH-cam channel, so you really have no excuse.
I can totally understand why they'd shift to a higher energy entertainer for children. But I find the big, fat, lethargic, and kinda burt out earlier direction for Chuck much more endearing. Like the parody Chubby Cheese from Dexter's Lab.
Fun fact: that hippo is actually for adults there was a kids version but the adult version was popular. Also rest in peace chuck e cheese animatronics y'all were the best and scary animatronics.
Didn't the adult version have prominent cleavage or something like that? I think Yesterworld Entertainment briefly mentioned it in his video discussing Chuck E. Cheese.
I've decided to headcanon that the original Chuck is a different person from the new version. In fact, there's three Chucks- OG, post-company-marge 80s-90s version, and the post-Avenger modern version. The differences are so stark that it makes sense to me. OG was a rat who found this mouse with nothing more to him than his first name digging through the garbage. Charles hung off OG Chuck like nobody's business, and the old ass grew a soft spot for this poor kid. He took Charles under his wing, showed him the ropes, even let him write some scripts for the band, though the tone was way less crass than they were used to. Everyone liked the kid, and Chuck was getting on in his years, so he retired and gave everything to the new Chuck, even his name. Chuck loved his job, but realized that after so many years, he wasn't hip enough for the kids anymore. So, he tries to reinvent himself as Avenger Chuck. That never fully worked out, though. He was just too old to be hip. So, Chuck followed in the path of his old mentor- he found someone new. A much smaller mouse, yeah, but he was hip and cool and bouncing off the walls with energy. He was the perfect replacement. He's taken over now, and 90s Chuck has gone off to join the OG Chuck on some sunny beach far away.
Skater boy Chucky kids rise up! Not gonna lie, when those commercials came on I thought he was the coolest. I blame the 90s/2000s obsession with extreme sports
Never did I think I would sit down to watch a third entirely independently made documentary about Chuck E. Cheese, but here I am and I have no complaints about it.
I think a lot of these animatronics were trying to replicate the Country Bear Jamboree at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. The side comments between numbers and the hick voices of many characters seem very reminiscent of that show. Back in the day, many companies would just straight up try and copy ideas they saw at Disney, but bringing the concept to a more local and regional audience, many of whom had never been, at the time. Though a nearly-forgotten gem at MK (Disneyland's being long replaced), the show was immensely popular when MK opened in 1971, where for years the show consistently had 60-90 minute waits. Before rollercoasters were common, animatronics were all the rage and fascinated people who had never seen robots moving around.

u guys gotta remember even tho showbiz pizza was the best.. old chuck e cheese is waaay and miles better than new chuck e cheese.. they had the animatronics.. they had the stage.. they had the charm.. they just had so much that new chuck e cheese doesn't have anymore.. thankfully some chuck e cheeses have been saved (like my childhood chuck e cheese hicksville ny) but new chuck e cheese just isn't the same anymore with u know all the rebranding and them taking away the play areas

I spent 2 years of my life with avenger, and the rest of my life has been with rockstar
Also, Fun Fact, that photo of a pig in a Hawaiian themed dress is actually a madam Oink walk around
Did you voice Crusty the Cat along with The Big Cheese Birthday Demo Audio?
Do you have a collection of all your Pizza Time Theater drawings uploaded somewhere? They're so cute!

Sad that i couldn't go to Chuck E Cheese before the 2.0 update :(
I really like your art
I love your vids
I once went to a Chuck E Cheese place that involved a game where you push a marble in different wild animals and they make a sound effect and a quoted sentence. You know what I mean?
22:58 when in the show did this happen?
Hopefully both crusty and harmony appear as permanent members of munch's make believe band during chuck e cheese's 50th anniversary in 2027
I remember those skateboarding chuck trying to make him cool lol
.
In regards to your reasoning why Crusty left, I recall you made a video years ago where Crusty said he was fired for becoming a Communist (the worst Communist, because he said "Down with the Proletariat!").
It breaks my heart to use Puppets instead of sticking with their Time honored Tradition
49:50 where did you get the audio of the announcer in such high quality?
"All" cabaret characters were noticed?
*The beach bowls left the chat*
There was a other retro fit for the Beagles aside from those barber guys. And there was a Michael Jackson KING 9 ft. tall character who replaced Elvis sometimes.

It's the funny guy who makes costume timelines man
Didn't expect you
Thanks for making this!
I seriously dont be know where yall be getting yall sources from when you say things like this
Chuck E. Cheese is nothing without the animatronics. It’s like the main reason you go. To see the uncanny/fascinating atmosphere they bring.
One place they have them is pine ville NC
And 4 others
Someone actually found a complete set of Beagles animatronics, and donated it to an automobile museum in Volo, Illinois. The great thing is that they programmed completely new showtapes for them that build off the original ones, and are actually better. All the Beagles get to talk, and some of the showtapes even have unique dialogue. It's really cool, and I recommend anyone who's reading this to check it out. The museum has uploaded a couple showtapes to thier TH-cam channel, so you really have no excuse.
Another set got bought by a pinball bar in Chicago and got retrofitted into Ruff, a Rush tribute band.
What’s the museum called
What’s their TH-cam channel called?
It would be crazy if someone found the AAM animatronic
It would've been destroyed tho, there was only 1 bot, and it was Destroyed.@@thesupermegagamer8397
Cheese.
Dolly Dimples looks pretty hot
I mean she’s got bouncy breasts
That’s oddly sweet. I love it
“Didn’t think I’d see you again, kid.”
“Neither did I, old man.”
“Ah sit down you rodent.”
Avengers and stark 😮
So essentially all the characters are now legacy characters, neat
"Tuxedo clad mouse we all know and love" nah he was dressed like a skatboarder my whole childhood.
Nasty!
Skater boy Chucky kids rise up! Not gonna lie, when those commercials came on I thought he was the coolest. I blame the 90s/2000s obsession with extreme sports
Avenger Chuck E. is the best Chuck E.
Tuxedo > Skater
@@ygr6484opinion. Tux chuck sounds like a drunk creep and avenger sounds awesome
11:41 "Hey boss why don't you stick your tail in your mouth write yourself out as a hoola-hoop!"
"Take a rest."
This was a nice retrospective of the early days of Chuck E. Cheese’s. I really liked your hand drawn sketches of the characters. Very expressive.
