- In this outing, we're having a look at some partially/mostly lost TV shows filmed in Disneyland or featuring Disney theme park walkarounds! We're also taking a look at an unproduced TV series that would have been based on "Journey Into Imagination," starring Dreamfinder and Figment.

There used to be an MMO called "Toontown Online". Based on both the Toontown in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, as well as Mickey's Toontown in Disneyland.
Basically put, it was a turn-based RPG where you fought robots themed after businessmen stereotypes (Yes men, penny pushers, bean counters, you get the picture). Oh. And your attacks were all stuff you'd see in typical slapstick cartoons. Like cream pies, anvils, and banana peels.
It was up from 2003, and then shut down in 2013 because Disney wanted to put all thier focus on Club Penguin (and we all know how well that went).
There's a few private servers you can check out if you're curious, though. Toontown Rewritten's a popular one, but the playerbase is slowly dwindling.

Funny I should watch this video now, because recently (just yesterday in fact) it was announced that Figment would be part of the line-up of racers in Disney Speedstorm. That's a pretty deep cut, if I'm being honest, but it's definitely appreciated! I love when Disney digs deep like this for their modern games/TV shows/movies/etc.

I once remember reading that they were planning some sort of Adventures in the Magic Kingdom cartoon series, and I just couldn't remember if the thing actually went to pilot or not. Also can't remember if it was supposed to be in conjunction with the video game.
I read about that, too. I don't know how far it got in development, but we were robbed.
Oh yeah. I could totally see it being a precursor to House of Mouse, having various Disney characters interacting. I don't know how far it got to development, but they say TMS was attached to animate, so I could imagine it having the same not quite anime, not quite Western style some episodes of Ducktales and Rescue Rangers had. I could only imagine what episodes would be like, maybe Disney Villains would take over parts of the park or something.

The Mouse Factory was a series I watched as a kid and I remember it being on Sunday nights.

Thank you! I love getting to do voices for these videos, although I feel it's a little hard for them not to seem kind of shoehorned in sometimes. As long as people like them, though, I'll try to squeeze some more in.
i always wished the dreamfinders show would've gotten made, it would've been so cool to have a tv show with original park characters.
there was actually a figment show made with live action kids and an animated figment but i don't think it was for tv, i think it might've just been on vhs. it's pretty weird though because some of the episodes feature other disney characters like alice interacting with the animated figment.

Apparently all of them are available on TH-cam in a playlist, but I won't spoil the fun of that discovery here. Perhaps though, Colin might do a video about them in future!

"Dreamfinder" is strongly referenced in South Park 3-part episode "Imaginationland". If you look at pictures of both shows, you'll see the obvious connections

I also used to watch "K-Mouse" as a kid. Today on TH-cam, I can watch video of any Disney theme park or attraction in the world, but back then, shows like this were one of the few ways to see video of Disneyland for fans like me.
Oh, I relate. A few sing-along tapes and the occasional parade special was my only proper look at the theme parks as a kid.

I remember watching those episodes of The Mouse Fact when they were on those vintage Disney Channel compilation VHS tapes I rent when I was very young.
If we can get The Muppet show on Disney+, then why not asking them to include The Mouse Factory?

other things I remember mousercise, mickey's 60th birthday, Donald duck's birthday, The Muppets at Walt Disney World ,an episode of Full House, an episode of Roseanne and then there re things filmed at Universal The Wizard nd the 1990 Earth Day Special.
OMG The Phantom Tollbooth is one of my favorite children's books and you're right. The villains especially feel like they came out of it.

I used to watch "The Mouse Factory" on The Disney Channel as a child in the 80s and wanted an attraction based on it in my Armchair Imagineered theme park.

I was never that into the Backyardigans (though it looks cute), so I don't know if I could do it justice. But I do wish everyone luck in finding it.

Philp, Don't Say Reboot, It Will Ruin the Original in More Ways than one.
We had at least one K-Mouse episode taped when I was a kid. If I recall, the plot involved Merlin cursing Morty to teleport randomly into various parts of Disneyland, before taking pity on him and lifting the curse. Unfortunately, Morty, was atop the Matterhorn at the time, and Merlin left him to get down on his own just to be a dick. Wish we had held on to those video tapes.
Actually, toontown kids was actually Mickey's Toontown.
I remember seeing clips of this in my childhood but this was at a time that 7:30 AM was the time I had to get ready for the school bus.

The only episode I've seen is the Phyllis Diller episode, but I loved it. Also loved the version of Minnie's Yoo-Hoo for the ending credits. Because of when it was made and the format, it seems like something I must have imagined.

I had totally forgotten about K-Mouse! I think I've got some old VHS's with K-Mouse taped from TV on them. I know I watched some of the episodes many times as a kid. I need to figure out how to get the footage off of them and onto a computer.

i don't think he going to talk about studio ghibli villains since those movies are only translated and distributed by disney and not made by it, and of the tv show villains he will probably talk about nagaduck since he will do a video about ducktales villains so doing one about darkwing duck's seems natural
