Great to see you got it working. It's most of the time those silly little things that can cause soo much trouble. I know from experience. Can't wait for the next video tbh.
As somebody who has worked in IT - yeah, I always try the free / cheapest fixes first. Cables that are loose, damaged, or plugged in wrong are a pretty common problem. But good to hear you got it fixed, and having the correct part will help in the long run anyways, especially with an MMU.
You are a life saver! I had the exact same issue. When plugging the cable in I didn't realize there was two slots and also plugged it into the top slot instead of the bottom. It probably didn't help that the cable box is tiny and it was 2 or 3 AM when I was at that point in assembling the printer. I printed some shims to place under the sensor like I read in the Prusa forums, but it still wasn't working, then I found your video. Took less than 5 minutes to fix. You earned a like and sub from me 👍
Just a little tip for you regarding your filament sensor. If you ever have any intermittent problems with any of your filament sensors on your printers in future, invest in a can of electrical contact cleaner. Remove the sensor and give it a spray with it, let it dry, which it does almost immediately and then reinstall it and you’ll find that will fix it 99% of the time👍 It’s usually just dust and/or debris messing with the sensor.
Your original filament sensor was inoperable due to atleast the two missing magnets that force the ball bearing against the filament slot. Note the offical Mk3/Mk3s to Mk3s+ upgrade kit includes the new IR sensor, its cable, and the ASA fan shroud. It also includes the y-axis upgrade, new cable wrap, etc.

So glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!

Yes I agree! Thanks!

Yeah I should've checked that out first. Or even while I was waiting for the sensor to come in. But it's done now. Thanks!
Glad you got your filament sensor figured out.
I guess it's good it's a simple fix. Thanks!
Luv ur 3dprinting adventures. Can't wait for more. Feels each vid has a cliffhanger😂
Haha thanks! Just trying to break it up so it's not 10 hours long. Thanks!

Great job glad you to drop screws lol keep the great job
Haha it's all part of it
@@tada3dprinting makes me feel like iam not alone in that boat looking for dropped screws lol
Good job! 😀
Thanks so much!
That must be the smallest box size prusa has. My Brand new MK4 came with a faulty hot end pcb and they sent it in the same size box. lol
Haha yeah maybe so!
