Chicago is utopia. There are even mansions that look like castles in hoods in the south side. I'm not lying. I could give u the address. Chicago is still very much a rich 1st world great American city. Luxury cars like Benz, bmw, and Infiniti are common in Chicago's worst hoods than people living in tents or cardboard boxes and pushing shopping carts like the 3rd world slums u see in some cities ex. Skidrow, Tendorlion, Kesington avenue etc. Check out my Chicago playlist to what city life is like in the better neighborhoods

Chicago has so many brick buildings because of the fire like 140 years ago. After the whole city burned down people used bricks over wood frame, the fire codes and brick unions stuck around ling after rebuilding the city.

Chicago is utopia. You're not going to find the 3rd world slums you see in some cities that are filled with homeless and addicts living in tents, cardboard boxes and pushing shopping carts Englewood is currently as bad as Chicago gets in terms of poverty and violence. It's also the least dense for the same reason. This is Chicago's version of Skidrow and Detriot. But even then you still have nice houses, nice grass and luxury cars. Check out my Chicago playlist to see what life is like in the better neighborhoods

Most of the violence used to be in the projects but someone thought it was a good idea to tear those down so they had to go somewhere. And unfortunately it mixed rival gangs to live close to each other and that’s when the violence really stared. So long story short I’m sure some successful people lived there once upon a time

Btw some new construction is already going up in Englewood. Chicago usually lets hoods die then comes with money to gentrify the area when the bad has been displaced. Ex. Cabrini Green, Logan Sqaure, East Humboldt Park, West Town, Buck Town, and even further back Wicker Park. All these were former ganglands. Today the gangs and rammers in those hoods are replaced by yuppies in range rovers and teslas. New construction and empty lots in Chicago means that hood is nearing it's end. This is what separates Chicago from other cities like Detriot, Baltimore etc. $$$ and greed

An interesting fact is that if you walk through the streets of cities in Europe , Russia and China , you will see a lot of people walking on weekdays and weekends , a lot of children , playgrounds , mothers walking with baby strollers , pensioners walking , sitting on benches in parks . The city centers are filled with people . But in the USA , in the largest cities , as after the zombie invasion , there are no people on the streets today . An oppressive , depressing environment where you don 't want to return .

Europeans who first entered those parts of Africa that had never been explored by Arabs brought back similar accounts of very low levels of cultural development. Entirely aside from whatever prejudices they might have brought with them, their factual observations cannot be dismissed. The Oxford scholar John Baker summarized the observations of such 19th-century explorers as John Speke, Samuel Baker, Henry Fynn, Paul du Chaillu, David Livingstone, and Georg Schweinfurth in his classic book Race. Throughout vast areas of sub-Saharan Africa, they did not find a written language, a calendar, a multi-story building, a mechanical device, a beast of burden, or use of the wheel.

these neighborhoods are forgotten, city planners have no interest in fixing up these areas, and why, why do they put nursg. homes in these dangerous areas???? No one cares how these people live or about fixing the area up. Those young men in your early videos hanging on the street have no hope and apparently care nothing about there life or anyone elses....this video is disturbing.....but it's life in ENGLEWOOD chgo.

If they get fixed up (also known as gentrification) the poor won’t be able to afford to live there anymore. The reality is that large cities need ghettos so that poor people can at least have a roof over their head and possibly some heat in the winter.
