  • Mike Fisher and Shane Monahan entered The Den in hopes of gaining investment for their "easy to use" back pain reliever, 'Gravity Life' - the company that crafted the tool designed to treat back pain billed as the "revolutionary orthopaedic system."
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

All of this Chinese medicine mumbo-jumbo revolves around the fact that the human body is extraordinarily sturdy, and can recover from massive amounts of punishment.
Most of the "it worked for me" claims are basically "I would have been healed regardless". And because we are pattern-seeking animals, these "doctors" themselves believe their bullshit works, since they pay more attention to the successes which confirm their biases, than to their failures.
In fact, they can easily dismiss these failures as their "patients" not following their advice closely, or as "hey, Western medicine also fails sometimes".

I sell medical devices for a living and after watching this video I was naturally interested to see if this product had yet (as of Jan 2020) developed any clinical data to support their claims. The duo have plenty of customer feedback, some big names stating how this had helped them, but no clinical data at all from their web site or LinkedIn - which is surprising after the BIG sell up surrounding the expected performance. It most likely can help, but the biggest scare would be someone using this hoping it would help and it makes things worse. Self diagnosis is not really the best route to curing your ills.
