Sad story about this song and video :
"The video is dedicated to Arielle Daniel, a girl who was killed by a train on 12 November 2005, at the age of seventeen, together with a friend of hers, Heather Bates, who was fourteen years old. Arielle was a big Porcupine Tree fan who founded the band's MySpace Group. According to news reports, the girls stepped into the path of the train together in an apparent suicide attempt. Both were from Oak Creek, Wisconsin. During a show at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on 2 June 2007, her family were present among the audience, so Steven Wilson paid tribute to them, saying "This is for Arielle" just before the band played "Blackest Eyes" which was her favourite song. That night, "Way Out of Here" was performed without showing the video on the screen"

Yeah, Gavin is the bomb. He's King Crimson Musical director now, and one of their 3 drummers, Yes, 3 drummers. He's a beast that's for sure. Seeing you react to this was quite good, having a death shirt means you obviously have been exposed to great drummers already, so seeing you giggle almost like a little girl over Gavin was, well, just like we all did when we first discovered him. We all giggled and gushed over the display of chops us mere mortals can only dream of. I also wanna add this: what's so great about Gavin and porcupine tree, is that they all have chops like madmen, but they also have beautiful songs. It's the best of both worlds, chops chops chops, and beautifully crafted music.

Gavin Harrison and Danny Carey - my two biggest influences - are probably the best drummers alive. Gavin has such a creative and musical way of composing his parts, he's a true master. I met him at a drum clinic in Switzerland some ten or more years ago. Not only he's the drummer we hear, he is also a very kind and funny guy. He spoke about being nervous on stage and how unpredictable events can desturb your concentration. One of these events was seeing Danny Carey in the front row. Gavin got very distracted. I'am an amateur drummer and Gavin Harrison recently became my idol drummer, he is mind blowing, in the drumming community everyone is talking about him. all his fills, flams, paradiddles, cymbal work to most drummers would be overkill, but what Gavin is doing Fits the Music, He is Top Level. "Out at the train tracks I dream of escape
But a song comes onto my iPod
And I realize it's getting late
I can't take the staring and the sympathy
And I don't like the questions,
    "How do you feel?"
    "How's it going in school?"
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
Way out, way out of here
    Fade out,
    Fade out, vanish
    I'll try to forget you
And I know that I will
    In a thousand years
    Or maybe a week
    I'll burn all your pictures
    Cut out your face
The shutters are down and the curtains are closed
    And I've covered my tracks
    Disposed of the car
And I'll try to forget even your name
And the way that you look when you're sleeping,
    And dreaming of this
Way out, way out of here
    Fade out,
    Fade out, vanish"

Now I know for sure you 2 love porcupine tree, but I definitely highly recommend Steven Wilson (lead singer) his own music for example Steven Wilson: Routine or Steven Wilson:Drive home.
Last but not least Steven Wilson: The raven that refused to sing .
    Thank you 😃😇😇😇

Gavin Harrison beast mode is right. If Porcupine Tree ever does a reunion tour...Good luck getting tickets...One of the best prog bands of all time.

Steven Wilson (Guitarist and lead vocalist) helped produce and mix Opeth's albums Blackwater Park, Deliverance, and Damnation, in case you didn't know. Interesting piece of trivia.

It's been a while since the last Spiritbox song. I highly recommend The Beauty of Suffering by them.

He supported marillion years ago and was great so doesn't surprise me it's a shame he wasn't in band permanently

That’s why Gavin has such a large drum kit, it’s not for swank he uses every bit.

Steven Wison is a true genious (his own productions, with porcupine tree, with Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth's singer) on Storm Corrosion).
