I agree with all your points about the Mustang, including that it's the best first starter jet. I sure love my Mustang! I'm happy to keep flying it forever... but I always wonder what comes next after the Mustang? Let's fly again soon!
Hi Rich, love your videos. It would be really cool if you would include aircraft review from passenger perspective, storage, comfort and then go over flying characteristics.
When (if) I upgrade from the Conquest II to a jet, a key metric will be range. I didn’t bother to look up the Mustang’s range for this video, but pretty sure that’s where it would fall short for me. I can fly from Chicago to Long Beach (westbound) non-stop in my Conquest. Pretty sure the Mustang won’t do that.
Conquest is such a sweet plane... Wish Cessna would bring back a modern version of 441/Conquest. Seems Denali and single engine Turbine is the future, due to economics, unfortunately. So sweet to look out and see TPE's turing props, as they did. 😊...
Conquest II is very tough to beat and compare. The old saying is that Cessna stopped making it because the early Citations were a tough sell against the Conquest II!
Ever since they were announced I too think they were the bee's knees for the all around family VLJ. Can you explore the ownership costs/standard annual to expect? I am always so shocked at how little it burns!
Just found out Eclipse will be back in production in 2025....pilot friend went to visit factory in ABQ....Director said Eclipse will be back and will start new production and obviously more support for existing clients....it would be nice if Mustang returned, but I think M2 has taken the C510 spot.
1000 NM is a ballpark max range depending on winds of course. I make non-stop Wichita to Long Beach often (westbound head winds normally). It’s > 1000 NM.
Great, Rich!! You've made me a believer in the Mustang!!!
Great info Rich. Looking forward to getting typed in the CE510 with you after the 525 rating.
Looking forward to that too!
Always appreciate your videos!
pretty cool prop vortices on the bonanza at the beginning
Another great informative video Rich, delivered in your pleasingly relaxed manner. I do miss though, the forward shots of your landings.
Great video, cool to see my local airport on TH-cam lol. Great time of year with the hills turning green.

Look forward to getting together and flying sometime soon - thanks for the message!
My first day as a new AME apprentice was working on C500 s/n 003 phase inspection at an FBO at YQG
Great video. Would appreciate a white board presentation of Mustang fixed and variable costs - you mentioned doing this previously.

Conquest ii is gonna be hard to beat even with modern jets.
That's home!
nice plane
Wonderful !!!!! ☝🏼☝🏼🦾🦾👌👌👨🏼✈👨🏼✈✈✈

I love the Mustang. Just wish it was a little bit faster with a little better climb performance. But still a great little jet.
Love your channel however I am very curious as to why there is such a discrepancy between the top speed and the cruising speed on the Mustang?

👍
Hi rich, i have a question. I am 2m (6’6) tall. How would that sit in the cockpit? I never got a chance to take a seat in the cockpit of a mustang.
At my age I won’t mind getting a ride on any jet.😂
thoughts on CJ2+?
What is the real world range on a mustang? 900 nm?
Rich what is the range of the mustang?

@FlyingwithRich san juan to.fll is about 1100nm so need next model up
I would say if you want that non-stop every time, yes.
They are just not very fast
