Nice to see someone getting stuck into The Last Hero, it's my favourite album after Fortress and definitely underappreciated by AB fans. I don't understand why it ranks so low with fans when it has so many killer songs:The last Hero, Cradle To the Grave, Crows on a Wire, Island of Fools etc It feels like one of their heaviest albums which I love, I really enjoy Myle's guitar solos too so I love that we get more of that in TLH.
Agreed! The Last Hero is definitely in my top 3 AB albums.
It's very similar in style (musically) to Fortress and I love it. The title track is potentially my favourite AB song; up there with Fortress, Cry of Achilles, and Blackbird.
The Last Hero was my least favorite album by AB, but I started to appreciate it through the years... It's really awesome 🤩
and the other side which is another bang, honestly this whole album is a bloody masterpiece and is my favorite by them both instrumentally, song writing, execution, lyrically and vocally.

Thanks for the review Dave. This is one of my absolute favourite AB songs. Love how the timing transitions so seamlessly. Some tasty high hat work from Scott Phillips in there also.
This just has that epic feel for me, and is absolutely a result of the ability of these guys to structure and perform a brilliant song so well. Nice work too kitty 😂

This is my 2nd favourite song from this album, personally the title track "The Last Hero" is my favourite yet another truly epic one! 🤘

Good point. I was about to tweet him well wishes, but remembered they are recorded in advance. Now if a person has an ear infection over a month in, a doctor may need to be called. 😂

The Last Hero is a solid album from start to finish. Actually, some of the songs are less complicated, straight-ahead rockers. Poison In Your Veins and Crows on a Wire are good examples. But there are several tracks in the same lane as 'This Side of Fate', such as the Album's title track which you've already reacted to, DH (and liked). Thanks for another great one! Take care of your ear!

A song i think you would really love of theirs is an old classic is - Broken Wings, theu have an official video clip to it which I think you would like however parts of the song are cut short.

I think there's rarely a bad (or even just average) song from Alter Bridge. Myles' vocals are so unique and beautiful, he could probably sing a Nicki Minaj song and make it sound half decent! Another awesome reaction from you, keep them coming!

I’m a huge AB fan, and like many fans, TLH was not originally a favorite…but it has really grown on me. This Side of Fate is a great song!

I respectfully disagree. Some of the songs off The Last Hero are some of the best in their entire catalogue.
Hard disagree. The Last Hero album is fantastic! It gets unduly shaded by AlterBridge fans IMO. So many excellent songs that fit in context with the whole album.
I love it just about as much as their 2nd thru 4th albums. Definitely on par with their most recent Pawns and Kings, and better than their debut. Walk the Sky easily last for me.
@@RB-oc7ti Pawns and Kings was 100% a return to form. So many bangers on that album. Fable is in my top 3 AB tunes now. Holiday is great in the car with the speakers cranked. And P&K is a beast.
