Alter Bridge is a very overlooked band, with a very unique band setup with two lead guitarists and in many songs two vocalists. Myles is potentially one of the best rock vocalists out there right now and Mark Tremonti up there with some of the best current rock guitarists with his unique style and catchy guitar licks. They often swap roles during the song, as seen in this with Myles playing the acoustic piece and the first solo and Mark playing the second solo. This is also seen in Blackbird, where Myles plays the first half of the solo and Mark plays the second half, that song also won best Guitar solo in modern rock due to the way it portrays emotion and the build up. They are an AMAZING band and my favourite. Saw them live in Birmingham UK December 2019, and they sound the exact same live as they do on the album, which is rare for most bands these days

This review is the benchmark for how to do a unique, interesting, educational and fun review. I came out of the review appreciating the song even more than I did before. Few other reviewers can do this.
Just picked up tickets to see them in March, and I can’t wait! I’ve been a fan since they formed like 18 years ago, so it’s a long time coming.

Two opening songs, Addicted To Pain is an awesome opening song too... Metal, rock and balads all over the place, and an epic ending with the sickest cooperative guitar solo that I've ever heard...

Oh man I have requested this song to many reactors now, but you my friend have gone to the top as my favourite one thank you so much, I knew you would love it, but when you break everything down the way do, as a musician it makes such a difference, and makes for a far more interesting and enlightening listening experience.
If you are getting to "Fortress" this week too I am sure you enjoy just as much like I do, In fact for me the more times you listen to "Fortress" the better it gets!

Yeah this song for sure makes my car's USB stick now, I NEED to hear more of these guys! I'm going to check your Isolation React and then the other dudes channel since he has a different track than these two.. I went "OH SNAP" with how it went seamlessly from the classical guitar intro into the meat of the song, and so far NOT a bad band

Actually, I'm hearing that the intro is in 4/4, but they are playing triplets for every beat. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it feels. Then into straight 4/4. Amazing song!

You can always tell the difference between Miles and Mark solos. Miles is very rhythmical and bluesy, whereas Mark just shreds 😂.
Loved this reaction. Spot on man. What's really F'd up is Alter Bridge has about 20 songs that are this good. Try 'Words darker than their wings' live @Wembley please. Anyway, It's really cool to see someone appreciate this Epic Band as much as I do. Thank you.

My opinion, as someone with no knowledge of how to build a song (LOL), this song, is epic. I just plain love it.

I know I should be commenting about the band (they're my favourite band, btw), but don't think that I didn't miss that "I have spoken" when you were giving your review at the end. Awesome review as well. You're very thorough and I dig that.
Oh, and of course, I recommend Calm the Fire or Waters Rising by them.
And if you really like Myles' voice, check out his stuff with Slash. His vocals use a different style, imo. (As you would expect)
Or if you're into jazz-ish, he has two jazz albums from one of his first bands called Citizen Swing. You'll only find it on TH-cam.

The second guitar in the song is played by Mark Tremonti who just came out with his 5th album with his band he fronts. Please consider doing a reaction to his title track Marching in Time, very uplifting song written by the a writer for Creed and Alter Bridge and Tremonti. A prolific song writer who would rather be known as a great song writer over a great guitar player.
I miss these AB reactions. Now even more with the recent album Pawns and Kings.

Holy cats... I'm REALLY glad I came back to this one. There were, uh, other things happening on the 6th, so youtube kinda took a backseat to that. But yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of the Myles Kennedy's vocal cadence, I guess would be the best way to describe it, but the music is about as rock damn solid as it can possibly get. I'm not surprised with your score, honestly, the song seems like it was tailor-made for your tastes, DH!

If you like the higher tempo heavy rock then Addicted to Pain is an absolute jackhammer of a track. Whilst not as technical as Fortress or Cry of Achilles it’s a fan favorite for sure!

You should check out the band Tremonti. It’s the lead guitarist and backing vocals band(Mark Tremonti) They are a little more speed metal driven. For a starting song I guess you should do the first one that he released! “You Waste Your Time”
