This is why you call social services as soon as an 11 year old has an STD. You dont trust the parent and ask if they want to speak to a social worker, you protect the child and make the call!
100%
Same should go for planned parenthood. Yet they have not called police once when children, clearly in trafficking situations, come in for abortions and STDs treatment. 😰
You also want to call child protective services as well. Even if there is no evidence of abuse of a healthcare worker feels like a situation does not feel right they are mandated reporters and should report it.
And both social services and child protective services do anything due to the large numbers of kids being tortured to death by their own family
Most of the time a social worker will return the child to the parents that are abusing the kids I've seen it on the news either that or they'll put them in foster care where the foster parents treat them even worse the whole justice system is effed up
Atleast someone finally cared about the daughter
What are you talking about? Obviously the father cared. But the mother curtailed his contact to protect her revenue stream.
People saying the nurse needs to get fired before they even consider how disgusting the mother is are truly outing themselves for being creeps.
Very well said!

They're telling on themselves fr
It's more of a procedure thing. Not to mention it is still assault. However I doubt in a realistic situation she'd be found guilty. She would be charged, but nobody would convict her
Righttt!!
The fact that the father was present and willing to take care of his daughter shows the mother had options regarding financial support. Under a jail is where the mother belongs.
even she doesn't she doesn't because this is OBVIOUSLY NOT A SOLUTION
I rather go to live on the streets and protect her there than THIS
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU
Ya know, as a parent myself, I'm on the side of the nurse. "Trust the system," right?
Same here. I wondered if the dad's reaction would be the same as that of the nurse if he found out.
As a mother, I agree with you.
Still assault and in an actual scenario would see a nurse convicted of assault and the abuser could potentially sue the hospital and any evidence that police would have been able to gather in an investigation would be thrown out
@@Lady_Amelia-Eloise Yup.

Everyone in this situation needs to remind themselves "mama bear" is real. She can rip doors off cars to get to her cubs if needed. Just because that girl didnt belong to the nurse doesn't mean she doesn't have one. She clearly wants to protect the child!
@TBIJourney, and even if the nurse didn't have a child doesn't mean someone without a child can't feel or react the same way.
It might not strictly speaking be the professional way to deal with the situation, but totally understandable how she reacted that way towards the disgusting so called mother.

The way she hit her mother made me cry we all need a protecter in life
Honestly for someone who gives a crap about the child . It’s understandable she was that upset with the mum.
Melodramatic as they come. The show gets one important fact wrong. When an 11 year old is found to have a sexually transmitted disease, it's not public health you call first (although they will be involved). It's law enforcement.
Not if the boys are the same age as the girl, genius.
@@Rose-xy5pe Wrong. Law enforcement gets involved any time a child that age is molested. Then the cops decide what happens next, with your cooperation and advice. If you do some homework before posting, you'll understand that the kids need to be older before you don't call the cops anymore.
@@ronaryel6445 Yea but they didn’t know it was adult men molesting a little girl at first. They thought it was four 11 year olds having consensual sex. That’s why they didn’t call the cops at first.
@@Rose-xy5pe genius? The irony lmao
@@Romy--- I only said that because he or she said they should have called the police when they believed the girl caught the disease from boys the same age as her. Which is ridiculous because it’s not illegal for a minor to have sex with another minor
I used to want to be a doctor but after seeing things like this I'm not sure I could contain myself. Yeah it's a TV show but it still happens in real life. Whether it's having to treat a p*dophile or a situation like this where you're meant to remain calm and do your job. Being a mum as well, my heart would just break for any child going through that, the job would get too much for me if I had several cases like that.
Same, i could not deal with abuse cases at all
Y’all are morally corrupt if you think this nurse was in the wrong at all. She just handled things in a more southern style.
you report it. dont beat someone up
Its unprofessional. when you work in health you cannot hurt someone. Nurses and doctors are not police, lawyer, cps nor judge and jury. The only job they have to do is to repare people not injure them. Its common sense. Abuser shall be repremended by the ones who get paid for justice not health workers.

I know it's only a TV show but I love this nurse ❤
Trust me, it is extremely difficult to listen to a person LIE about injuries to a child. Even Nurses can't always hide their true reaction to the BS.
No this was so satisfying. Not like in other shows where its like the police coming in. She said “oh ur gonna taste these hands and ur gonna like it.” oh my god
Amazing. I knew it was the mom.
So you are happy that the mom is the bad person yeah very nice
No because they kind of cleverly hinted at it by dropping the book Carrie periods reveal a mother's horrible cruelty to her offspring.

I thought it was the dad
Dad not knowing her pediatrician is a classic 😂
Well, you can thank the courts for that.
@@the_Kurgan no… that’s on him. He is entitled to all school/medical/extra curricular activities she partakes in. If the mom refuses to give that to him he can tell a judge and she would be reprimanded
@mar-k7104
How do you come to that conclusion? The mother freaks out that he's in the hospital. She says something about he has no right to make a decision. It appears to me that he's been stripped of all parental rights. The only way he could know what doctor the mother takes the daughter to is if she told him. Which obviously is not going to happen.
@@the_Kurganif he was stripped why is he still listed as an emergency contact?
@@the_Kurgan you are clearly ignorant on this topic so I will try to explain. they explicitly state in the clips that the mother has PRIMARY custody. This is extremely different than FULL custody, and means that the dad does have parental rights to his daughter; just that he pays child support to the mother and the child lives with the mother for the majority of the week. A typical situation is once or twice a week and/or every other weekend depending on parents schedule/wants. In some cases such as the one explored in this video, one or both parents is unhappy with this compromise. The mother clearly wishes that the father had no custody/contact, but the fact that those are her feelings and the the hospital still called him and she didn’t call the police just further proved he had partial custody still (and hopefully full custody after how the episode went)
I am with the nurse on this one!!
Mee too.
Thats why the nurse asking if mom wants to see the social worker is no longer a reality. Now we get sent in regardless if parents want us. Im a social worker and not all of us are bad, we are not out looking to tear families apart. Kids need a voice, they need someone to protect them. The nurse probably shouldnt have attacked the mom but honestly ive been there. I was kicked off of a case similar to this but instead it was dad pimping daughter out to his nasty friends. They had good reason to remove me from the case, i was clearly not the right SW for that particular situation. Sometimes even as adults our emotions are too big.
Really? Did you nearly beat the s++t out of that guy?
@@JA268 I tried but was stopped.
If I was that little girl, I’d want to stay with the nurse. I know she has a dad, but after what happened to her with all those men I couldn’t be around men for a while.
We have policies in cases like these where only women are allowed in the room with patients who have been SA'd and thats especially true for pediatrics.
Anyone under 18, after any traumatic situation or injury, we are sure to never allow ANYONE near them who may even slightly resemble the perpetrator.
Physical abuse, too.

What show is this?
Veronica had every right to defend Mollie, no child should ever go through with that. Never, not in a million or trillion years.
One of the most heartbreaking stories I have seen in a movie. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
This nurse is awesome! "He has no right to answer this, i am Molly's mother, i have full custody!", thats the mother speaking. "I'll pay", the father says. "We don't want ur charity", says the mother again. Her "dignified" way of trying to stand against the father's "charity" ...was to prostitite her daughter. The girl's father has the right to help his child if he is willing too, thats a great thing to do. And the mother chose a "better" way by just putting her child in the market?! Custody should be removed and the nurse rewarded. Awesome nurse.
Whatever the dad's faults are, he's still a better parent than her mom, especially since her mom was pimping her out...
@@Unknown-bq9id Exactly. The two parents couldn't make it well as a couple, but the man still wanted to be a father for his daughter.

This is EVIL. No matter where you are from.
Good for you, Veronica!
I would have done exactly what that nurse did and lost my job in the process without caring. Those doctors and nurses take an oath in school. While yes there is a line you don’t cross. Nobody else did anything. Nobody else looked or noticed any signs of anything but that amazing nurse who kicked the freaking crap out of that mom. I have my own nieces and nephews and I would have done the same exact thing. I have my state license in life and health which is a different field but I have the same obligation to certain rules as well. But my standard is also still the same. My values and my family will come first and I will always choose that and I would and will be on the side of this nurse I am proud of her I was honestly teary eyed for someone being brave enough to literally kick the crap out of her.If it was me there I would have but she took care of it all in her own and i couldn’t have been more proud of that nurse for having the courage to potentially loose her license or job because she was protecting a patient. WELL DONE… there are so many things that should have been handled better on the hospitals end and they should have called social services immediately. From the first two seconds of this video I saw ten red flags that triggered me and I cringed wondering why they were not calling for back up but again I don’t know the full context or what actually happened. BUT I couldn’t have been more proud of this nurse. WELL DONE… it gives hope to know some protect and get over their fear of public image but actually care about safety. I don’t know if this was actually a real situation that happened or a video played. But all I can say is WELL FREAKING DONE you made me proud nurse. And again there are better ways on both ends to handle it. I’m not excusing her actions BUT NOBODY handled that situation well AT ALL AND she was the ONLY ONE who took action at ALL so before people hate on her. Practice having self control and try to think of both ends. The hospitals side so legal side and patient side. Both sides should have been done better but for the moment and the circumstances I HOPE and pray that ALL who watch this will WATCH with empathy towards this nurse who was reacting in the care of a child as well as the reaction of « MAMMA BEAR » because « MAMMA BEAR » mode is a real thing and when you see that side of female role modal protecting any other individual you might as well step out of the way before your smashed into small pieces. Women have this piece of us in our bones and nature to love and protect and when it’s called out and in reinforcement I think we can all just trust that reaction to know that there is a very darn good reason for it. I have loved and appreciated my own mother especially recently for this side of her because like I said. MAMMA BEAR is REAL And in my opinion with just watching the video and only knowing the context of what was played and not the full actually situation which I prefer knowing before I comment normally. This nurse did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG. Bravo.
Not the nurse whooping the moms ass 😭 what happened to keeping your feelings professional 😂. She should’ve just called the police and distanced herself from the family. Funny asf to watch tho 😂

Unfortunately, the child loses regardless. Because of laws, each case can’t be dealt with on its own merit. Hence, a blanket law approach end up being the most practical angle to cases involving child abuse cases. The misfortune to the child is when the overworked, underpaid, and overwhelmed case worker who has slowly become apathetic to such issues does the easiest thing to get the books closed on the case. This often yields abuses to the child once again from abusive foster families, masquerading as perfectly fit, caring, and nurturing parent(s).
